Instead of wamp, may I suggest you to use the portable version of Xampp ? You find it here : http://portableapps.com/apps/development/xampp It's made for USB stick. You don't have to install it, simply uncompress it in a folder which can be anywhere, including your USB stick. Of course, be careful not to use the 80 port with something else, or configure 8080 instead. Read the *.txt (the German one for sports training or the English one for efficiency), but you have almost nothing to do except start the engines or stop them. And if you happen not to like it, simply remove the folder, that's all! I use it for my own tests and it really rocks! Regards Yordan

I would say that the problem is elsewhere, the MTU message is a poor way for diagnosis saying that there is a physical TCP/IP layer problem. The only real info is that your rather hybrid connection is not accepted by one of the hardware parts in your total chain, it could be the Xbox, but it could also be NAT translation on your laptop who acts as a bridge between the wired and wireless networks. Usually this kind of job is done by a router device.

The same way you can test all your programs, provided that you need nothing else than apache, php and a mysql database. Some USB flashdrives can be formatted as FAT32 drives, and are seen as disk drives, so you can boot off these usb drives. Simply just after powering on your system, go to the boot settings (usually it's something like F8), choose "hard drives" and you will see "USB2" in the hard drives menu.Of course, you will have to go to another system which has a working floppy disk in order to format your flashdisk as a bootable disk.Booting so, you will be able, as you say, to "get into dos" and restore your backup from the other dsk.

You don't really need three completely different sites.You need three different folders, each one having a website. And if you want them to be accessed from remotely, you could have the first one being yourname.astahost.com, the second one being yourname.astahost.com/testing and the third one being yourname.astahost.com/personalscripts. The password-protection features would prevent people from accidentally enter your own sites.If you want, you can even purchase different domain names (like kevin.org) parked on your subfolders, nobody will know that https://www.kevin.org/ is physically located at yourname.astahost.com/testing.
