Simply say "I copied this from http://www.blahblah.com/;, and nothingelse, that's true and is not against our TOS.

If you quote it and if you mention where it's copied from, no problem. However, this particular post has no interest because it exists on a lot of sites over the internet, and has already been reported as a spam.

I agree. With a ftp client like FileZilla, if your site is only made of html or php files, simply backup the main folder of your site.However, if your website uses a database, you must also perform a database backup of your database data, and download this backup to your local PC.

Also, as they are on CD's, they cannot be modified. so, once they worked, they will always work. This a good way to clarify whether a software change occurred (like a Windows update) or a virus or malaware action.

Luckilyl, you have two drives, which allows some poosibilities. For instance, you could try booting on a Knoppix or another LiveCD distro, and see if the you are able to read media in the non-booting drive. If you have no problem with VistaPE or with Knoppix, this means that the problem is really inside the windows OS on your hard disk.

I have a problem with my Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S SCSI CdRom Device under vista.After reboot, it sees each CD or DVD a blank one, and asks me to format it.If I use Nero to burn a CD, then the drive works perfectly and is able to read every media, as if Nero correctly initialized the drive. However it stops working after reboot...It seems to be obviously a vista driver problem, because Linux or vistaPE liveCD's boot correctly, and have no problem with the CD.The PC is a Packar Bbell and has a Packard Bell BV MCP73 1.XX motherboard.

How do you burn the DVD's ? With Nero ? Does Nero not recognize your blank DVD's ? Or are you saying that the MS-Windows autorun now does not warn that you inserted a blank DVD?

Could you please post a drawing ?Two nic's, three networks, four PC's...I started making the drawing and I realized that you are very motivated as well as informed for doing this drawing.Please make a drawing with the PC's, their nic's, the 10. network, the 172 network, and the 192 network.Please also put each PC's gateway on each network on the drawing, because I guess that the gateway configuration has to be improved somewhere, and a clear understanding a the key for a good gateway configuration, and a nice drawing is the key for a fast accurate understanding.RegardsYordan

The topic question concerned a free alternative to Nero, not necessarily for copying something. The softwares mentionned in your link are even more expensive than Nero! Maybe these softwares are expensive because they are devoted to DVD copying, which was also not the question asked in the starter post of this topic. Some people need a software for burning their own CD's, not for copying things. Personally I use Nero for making backups of my spreadsheet and wordprocessor files, so I directly make two CD's, no need to copy.
