Doesn't This Look Like...
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in General Discussion
hmmm... it really looks like the WTC to me, and first of all, the laptop was built WAY before the WTC collapsed so I don't think they would of think the building was that special. I think they might of used something like the WTC to represent business and trade.Oh well..xboxrulz -

I have been using my Samsung NV 5000 for a couple of years now, but I was just pointlessly stared at the bootup splash screen and noticed something wrong with the image. It looked like something very similar. Then, it dawned on me that it looked like the 2 World Trade Centres in New York... Doesn't it? xboxrulz

Mac Leopard Do you know?
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to CyberReaper1405241516's topic in Websites and Web Designing
well, to answer that, the PowerPC architecture is far superior to the x86 architecture like unimatrix said. They can do audio/video and compilation well. Furthermore, PPC in the XBOX 360 has made it an awesome system. The reason why they didn't use the Intel solution anymore because they learned their mistake from XBOX 1, which was good, but not good enough as a fierce competitor on the video game market. Heck, even all the current-gen console (PS3, XBOX 360, Wii) are all using PPC based processors. xboxrulz -

O boy, here we go again: Ok, let's take a look, I've had my XBOX 360 on for a good 6 hours, including gaming and music and movie playing straight. The thing never overheated. Of course the first few XBOXs had problems, all new hardware have problems because they weren't tested in real-life situations. After a couple of months, these problems were fixed. This is why I never buy the first few machines. I waited until June to buy them. Also, it does have 3 processors, each "core" is a seperate processor, although on one die. Each of the cores are clocked at 3.2 GHz each sharing a 2MB cache on all of them. There are 3 970FX processors with VMX128 upgrade on it in one die. So instead of having a 32-64 pipes at a time processing, it uses 128 pipes. Also, the PS3 doesn't have 16 cores, it has 7 SPEs (w/ 1 extra, as backup) and 1 PPE to control all of them. The SPE is its own RISC processor while the PPE is a PowerPC based controller. All in all, there are 9 "elements". The image above explains the XBOX 360 triple-processor architecture. It all comes to what you want. For me, I'm a UNIX advocate and love to see more people on UNIX because it's the safest and the most powerful OS in existence today.Anyways, using Windows should only be purchased if you have to use an application that is Windows-only, else I recommend getting a Mac.If you don't want a Mac, I recommend slapping on PCBSD or SuSE Linux because they are powerful and easy to use.http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

hey y'all,my friend recently reinstalled her laptop with Windows XP SP2. However, when I tried to help her install the driver, her laptop can't figure which is which.I tried to tell her to install the driver provided by Toshiba for the LAN adapter on "Ethernet Controller", however Windows keeps rejecting the .INF.If anyone has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, xboxrulz

As an agnostic myself, I don't know if god exist because there's currently NO proof of him or her anywhere. However, religious people claim there were, but I'm thinking, what's the proof to back it up.Furthermore, the subject of is there god or not is very sensitive to regions like North America.xboxrulz

Best Storage Alternatives? Free up my hard drive
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to doudou's topic in Software
I have 2 hard-drives running on my system: I think the best way to do it is to have an external hard-drive. They are cheap (custom made ones). xboxrulz -
Windows Xp Vs Windows Vista
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to aboutthe's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I don't agree w/ the fact that the root password is considered an "annoyance" because it's also a life-safer. I can tell you this for a fact because I have a laptop running on Linux and my friend went on, good thing I wasn't running root or else my computer would be destroyed because he didn't know what he was doing.xboxrulz -
lol, but the application I'm trying to write is for the computer and not for cellphones. Although I might be able to also make a mobile version.Anyways, thanks for the response, I found some API info on it.xboxrulz

Hey all Java programmers on Xisto,I'm wondering is it possible for Java to communicate to another computer through a Bluetooth device? The reason I ask this is because I want to create an instant messenger that would be using the Bluetooth "network" so that people can use their computers to communicate from one to another without the use of the Internet. This is very useful in situations where you want to talk to a friend nearby but does not have access to the Internet and cannot talk to them in person. Thanks, xboxrulz
