  5. That is the thing that is missing on the x86 architecture, the AltiVec (Velocity Engine), thereby slowing down the machine. This is one of the things why I found Apple should've stuck with the PowerPC family of processors.xboxrulz
  6. LOL, you guys actually fell for it ... LMAO!!! That is such an old prank. I've seen this prank as far back as 2-3 years ago. I already knew it was a series of 3 emoticons, as if you look closely, you'll see a fine border line in between the bars. Plus, when you check if your computer is even loading anything, the Windows Task Manager shows 0%.My cousin still uses it on his brother still to this day, he'll never learn .xboxrulz

  11. SuSE Linux is a great distribution, it combines the ease for a newcomer and is very powerful like any traditional UNIX-like machines. It includes the famous YaST2 Control Panel which guides users through an easy installation and maintenance of the system.Furthermore, SuSE Linux provides you the freedom to choose whatever package you want to install and best of all, it's not Debian based.Debian systems are very restrictive and IMO, crappy because the DEB file handler jumps into dependecy hell and the APT-GET tool can't fix it. However, the APT-GET tool for SuSE (RPM) actually can fix and manage dependecies better since it actually tells you what library you're missing and tries to download it. On Debian, it just gives you parts of the library required.Furthermore, SuSE Linux doesn't require you to COMPILE EVERYTHING, which is very annoying, that's why it's better than Gentoo. However, I do agree that it adds customizability and optimisation, but most computer users don't need that, that's why I recommend SuSE.Anyways, that's my opinion on the distros.xboxrulz
  12. Well, both browser just came out within the span of 2 weeks, and I got the chance to review them. I posted my review on my website. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Feel free to comment, rant. However, please don't flame unless you have to. xboxrulz
  13. a .dll is a library that a software requires to run. A dynamic library means that it is a universal library which many software would require it to run. However, a static library is only used by one software and bloats the software package. Usually, most Windows application use .dll files as static libraries. True dynamic libraries are commonly found on UNIX machines..dll are usually found in Windows systems because those are the libraries found in the operating system. In UNIX, they usually end with the extension .so. On MacOS X, they usually end with .dylib or just .so.Most .dll files have licenses that restricts you from reverse-engineering by decompiling the library.xboxrulz
  14. You need to edit the configuration files. I don't know how to do this because SuSE Linux has a graphical tool to do it for you. KDE should also have a graphical for it too. Just launch kcontrol in your GNOME installation and u'll get to the KDE Control Centre to fix the details. xboxrulz
