  1. You can always make a fake Myspace Music page, just sign up and you'll get one. Then upload the songs you want on your Myspace. Go to the profile of the fake music one and click "Add" next to the song you want. It will add the song to your real myspace. If you don't get it, I can go into more detail.Only problem is this may be copyright infringement.
  2. I don't really understand. An email quiz? Never gotten one, but I'm sure they exist.Haha, if you had Gmail (and had gotten one of those emails) you could just search your inbox and find it in about two seconds.
  3. Wait, I don't get it.Is the tutorial in the image?IPB images don't load on my browser for some reason.
  4. Well, I still can't use any of these: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ but I can use http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/2 So is that on my end, or Xisto's end?
  5. Gmail is obviously the best service around. It's completely FREE and has amazing features. If it loads too slow for you, you either have ADD or a slow connection (which can both be repaired for a bit of money ).There really is no contest for this service. And if your brain has trouble coming up with uses for 2GB, either:1. don't use it all, like most normal users2. use it as an extension of your hard drive, especially if you want convenient online storage for files. this makes it easy to get your stuff from any computer with internet.3. switch to a crappy, no-good free service from the corporate monsters like Microsoft's Hotmail.
  6. TheAnimalConspiracy Need to get a URL shortener and stuff... Also need to complete the pages with all the info and pictures and stuff... but not bad for an HTML beginner, eh? Frames and everything. Please post feedback.
  7. well I can visit my website/index.html, but I want it to load that as default...yes, I will reupload it i guess. thanks*EDIT*Yeah, that worked. Thanks a lot, Jeigh.
  8. I'm having the same problem, I think. The default index.html says "welcome to your hosted site" but I don't want that. So I deleted it and uploaded my own index.html through Web2FTP, but it won't load my index.html... What's going on?
  9. I just got approved yesterday, and created my account today. Tried several times (fruitlessly) to login to cpanel. Nothing but an error message. tried: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and... nothing but "Error Message" as the headline, and "Network Access Mes" in the page. Is it that I'm at school and my browser is screwy?
  10. Yes, this is what I'm squirreling my cash away for as of late. The specs and the price are a great combination. Too good to pass up, in my opinion. Especially because I've been lusting after one of those dandy iPods for about 3 years now, but never had the initiative/cause to justify saving that much. Now it's only about $150, that's great! Can't wait to get my hands on it.
  11. I think it's funny (but also sort of sad) how much time people waste on other forums and with other services... This is the one! I feel like this is my home. My detached, broadband-connected home.
  12. Personally, I think it's less about the specs and more about the feel. If you prefer the feel of a console controller, that's what you ought to stick with- likewise, if keyboards and joysticks tickle your fancy, keep it real on the PC.It's also about the games, because FPS gamers know where their favorite games are, and even if the hardware isn't your thing, you've always got your game.Plus, if you don't like one because of the controls or interface, there are plenty of controllers for PCs and keyboard/joystick setups for consoles.
  13. Hehe- quite similar to Xisto, I might say. I like the designs. Though they all seem to have the same color scheme.
  14. We already had a similar system in my old apartment...I used to live in a high-end apartment complex, and we had a garbage chute in the laundry room. The building had 11 floors (looked like a hotel) and on each floor was a laundry room. There was a little opening in the wall, covered by a door. The door was like the ones at the bank that you put deposit slips into, except it was large enough to fit a garbage bag into. If you opened the door, and put your garbage through the hole, it fell down the chute- to the bottom, I guess. What you are proposing is a good improvement on that idea, but there is one problem. It will stink like nobody's business. Even if you have the plates to close it up, the smell will still be there. And a deodorizer won't work, who wants aerosols constantly going around in their kitchen?Anybody have ideas?
  15. Ok, I just found a blog and one of the entries was about this. This was one of the comments. And I found an amazing video here. Yeah, this is definitely fun stuff. I'm not sure if I understand the science behind it though. That quote seems like it's not quite accurate...
  16. That's really cool. I've never heard of that...Of course, Googling it would probably just turn up 1,987,372,387,983 "Pop Rocks and Coke" hits. But I'll try to find something.
  17. Yeah, yeah! That gets me in the mood for business. Being my own band's manager is toughhhh. But it's fun, and you've just got to be in the right mood- which I am now in!Off to book some gigs.
  18. You can always find videos on YouTube. Lots of music videos, clips from TV shows and movies, and people's personal movies. Great for MySpace and Xanga. Not that anyone uses Xanga...
  19. I don't know how to help you...But I am wondering- how do you get Gmail to host you?Where's the signup? Was it limited or something?
  20. Yes, this is nifty. But still not powerful enough for me. Actually, very simple and useless.Maybe if they developed it further...I would be interested if you could use tools that are on MS Paint, such as fill, paintbrush, shapes, etc.And also I want a program that lets you rotate the image variably- whatever angle you would like.
  21. Is it up yet?My school computer won't let me follow the link...Stupid Bess Proxy...I would love to join the Riders of Rohan!Good that it's true to the books. I love the books.
  22. I think everyone ought to check out Battle On. It's a nifty little 2-D Cel Shaded game that's really fun. It's an RPG but not MMO. It's akin to Pokemon, but much less "kiddie". The only problem is free users often can't play during peak times- server bandwidth.
  23. It's your call, slothin. If you think you can slip by these incidents like most other people do, then go right ahead and use it. However, there are plenty of scary stories out there about PayPal's "bad side". Read their Terms of Use carefully- just like you always do before you sign up for a money-handling service. If you're really concerned about their policies, use an alternative. If your main reason for getting PayPal is to buy and sell on eBay, you can use other methods of payment with most buyers and sellers. If somebody really wants to get (or get rid of) something, they'll allow money orders or something else. Buyer beware.
  24. Yeah, that's what is scary about this. Microsoft might take the helm in the music industry, which could seriously screw other companies like Apple and Creative. This could do one of two things: crush the sales and power of the other companies in the market, or force new innovations from these companies in an attempt to regain the market. So theoretically, if Microsoft has success with this new device/service, we could get an amazing new iPod or Zen... on the other hand, we might never see new products like that again. Not to mention the numerous other small companies trying to cash in on the mp3 player market (and barely hanging on) like SanDisk, iRiver, Kanguru, COBY, RCA, Philips, Audiovox, etc. While these companies are currently making enough revenue off personal music players to justify remaining in the playing field, a good promotional campaign from Microsoft and good opening sales could throw them off entirely. This is a serious problem... personally, I think Microsoft had better have a completely amazing product to warrant edging in on Apple's turf.
