PS3 Announcements PlayStation 3 Announcements

wow, where did you see this?sounds like some VIP demo at E3...except E3 was a while back. Those are some impressive features. I don't know if I would like the 360 degree character thing... I'm stuck on video games being simple, set planes. -
yes, this is a growing problem...I myself am a musician, and I know firsthand what loud volumes can do. Often I find myself turning up the volume on my mp3 player or turning up my guitar amp.Later, everything is a bit muffled or I can't hear what people say. It's terribly real and common. Now I wear one earplug during music jams. Just for extra protection.

Battle Of Music Players: iPod vs. Creative
austiniskoge replied to altsr's topic in Hardware Workshop
I was wondering...Since iTunes is a favorite of many (simple to use with a pleasing interface), it helps sell the iPod and also songs from the Music Store. However, some of us love the iTunes program, but can't afford or don't like the iPod.What can we do? I use a cheap iRiver, which serves its purpose at a low cost. Unfortunately, the best software I have for loading songs onto it is Windows Media Player- shoddy at best.Is there some way of using iTunes with other devices?Or is there a similarly pleasing program that is compatible with many devices?I'm looking for free, here... -
How To Get Your Site Indexed By Google? google search
austiniskoge replied to HellFire121's topic in Search Engines
what about 'meta tags'? a few months back, i was looking through a "how-to-get-your-website-on-google" tutorial, and it said before you ever try to submit your site, you must add "meta-tags'. i think they are some kind of extra coding which make your site easier to search, but i still don't know.can anyone explain? -
Digital Alteration: Creative Or Just...wrong?
austiniskoge replied to Seonaid's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
this comes up often in the world of sports photography. can you really capture the energy of the moment if you are modifying the picture?i say, yes. you can enhance the quality and meaning of the picture. software helps you to fine-tune the picture to make it excellent, because nobody can take the "perfect photograph".digital mastering of your pictures can also help you to realize what your skills are lacking, or what you should do to perfect your style. these are all great benefits of digital alteration. and while it's not the original photograph, the benefits of having a modified one outweigh the detriments. -
Habbo Hotel my points on habbo hotel
austiniskoge replied to Habbocity's topic in General Discussion
i never found habbo hotel very interesting. half the time i tried to log in, i got an error message. granted, it was probably a beta version or something back then, but i just don't enjoy that game anymore. for a similar game that is more gratifying, try nintendo's Animal Crossing. much more engaging and longer-lasting. -
Do Aliens Really Exist? Hot Debate! do they really exist?
austiniskoge replied to tcave's topic in Science and Technology
To me, this is obvious. We have absolutely no evidence that anything exists in this universe that can rival our race. It simply seems impossible that something else could be out there.I am open to the idea of other life, but think about it like this: assume that Mars is 36 million miles away from Earth (not always true or accurate, but I'll use it anyway). We have found supposed traces of life on Mars, but only the most basic sort (single-celled organisms). So then break down life into different classes, such as class 1 being single-celled organisms and class 100 being human beings. We have found traces of class 1 on Mars... so we may find class two organisms 1.3 trillion miles away from Earth. Then we will find class 100 organisms at several light years away from Earth.Of course, this is subjective to what information we collect about evolution/time in the future. There is no way that we will see any being that far away for several million years. -
Yeah, it's really awesome to be able to say "Hey, I knew that band before anyone else!"I'm from Dallas, TX and I heard about this new band called Eisley about two years ago (http://www.eisley.com/). They came from Texas and they're really making progress in the industry. They've been on MTV2 and MTV, several music websites, and I believe that they have been on VH1.Tourmates have included Lovedrug, Hot Hot Heat, Coldplay, and Snow Patrol. I can't wait until somebody goes up to me and says "Whoa, I found this little band and bought all three of their CDs." so that I can stick in in their face and say "HA! I was at the CD store to get their first CD on the day it came out!"Indie music is life.
