Akito where did you find this information? I'd like to read the article if there is one. I really strongly believe that a cure for cancer will be found within my lifetime. Already many forms of cancer are highly treatable if the cancer is found early enough. With all the reserach that's going on, I have high hopes for not only cures for different types of cancer but also being able to prevent them. As for robots and the date the world will end, I'm not worried about that, but maybe I should be.

The thought of dying and not being a part of this existence any longer makes me sad actually. There is so much that I hope to experience and probably won't, so many things to see and do.The world is changing so much and so very quickly. Every day there are new discoveries and more new dicoveries are happening faster and faster as we progress scientifically. So many breakthroughs in technology, physics and medicine, just as an example, in the last few years and each breakthrough speeds up the research towards another breakthrough.I can't even begin to imagine what the next 50 years will bring or how much our humanity and society will change over that time. But I sure would like to be here to see and experience it.

It really was a hard choice to make between SM, logansmeadow and Mich but I voted for Mich. The warm colors and her design appeal to me.

I think that what I hate the most are the earwigs we get in the summer when it's hot and humid. They absolutely gross me out and there are so many of them. They're everywhere in the garden. In the flower beds under leaves and hiding under plant pots on the deck and under rocks and stones.When they have the nerve to come into the house, I immediately pick them up with a tissue and flush them down the toilet.LOL at A200's post

I hope you do go to see your doctor about this.If he/she finds nothing wrong with you, then that's good! But on the other hand, if there is a medical reason for the constant hunger, then it would be much better to find out as soon as possible and do something about it.I wish you all the best with this

The site is slow to load for me too and I'm on cable. I think your main page is way too busy with so many ads there.It's hard to decide what the real purpose of this blog site is. Is it to blog or is it to advertise for all those things. I'd suggest that you tidy it up somewhat and make it more obvious to visitors what your site's purpose is.

That's a very good question. I don't have an explanation for this but it has happened to me too. One day you're someplace you've never been before and suddenly you realize that it's exactly the place with exactly the same people as were in a dream you had.

If you're always hungry then there might a medical reason for that.Have you talked to your doctor about this? It might be a good idea to have some blood tests done to see if you're diabetic. Constantly being hungry is one of the symptoms.

This weekend is Canada's Victoria Day weekend and a lot of gardeners wait until now to plant tender annuals outside. The rule of thumb is that the risk of frost has passed now and so it's safe to plant those annuals.Annuals are a great way to fill in those spots that need some color when the perennials aren't blooming yet.I took a chance and already planted some bedding annuals over the last two weeks, but I'll be planting the rest of them this weekend. The weather is going to be just perfect .. sunny and warm! We just had 2 days of rain, so Mother Nature already prepped the soil.I'll also be finishing off my hanging planters and deck box planters. Lots of bright colors really set the scene and make the deck a welcome place to sit.

What BuffaloHelp said made me take your turtles into photoshop and have a look. As he said, your gif was not transparent. Photoshop saw pink and white, just like this I cleaned out the pink and also the white around the turtles and the background is now totally transparent. I noticed on that web site you gave that you also use the turtles at the top left and right corners and when you click on them you get the black you're talking about. So I would replace those gifs too.

I also see the turtles just as you want them to be seen. There's no black around them at all. The background is transparent.I'm using Acrobat 6.5 as my viewer. I'd have to agree that the problem could very well be your viewer or maybe even that your computer's graphics card is feeling overloaded.

I have a Dell Dimension 8400 and I've had it since Dec 2004. It runs great and I've had no issues or any problems with it at all. I renewed the warranty for another 2 years because it covers 100% parts and labour and Dell will provide on-site service within 24 hours.I'd suggest that you talk to Dell customer service and really express that you're unhappy with the level of service you've received and try getting your entire computer replaced by them.

Knoppix ...meaning the Live Linux?Definitely you need a wireless router and an internet connection. Once your router is set up properly, your computer should be able to find it and connect to it (assuming you're wireless card is installed properly and there are Knoppix drivers for it).

Yes it could very well be a conversion problem, or it could be a problem created by the program you're using to create the pdf.I'd also be interesting in having a look at the gif and the pdf to see if there's a work around.
