  1. I assmue you have declared the $file variable somewhere? e.g. $file = file.php Without this it will not work.
  2. If ever you think a moderator has treated you unfairly, it should NEVER be mentioned in a public post like this. Any perceived problems with moderators should be PMed to an Administrator, to do otherwise will only harm the forum and undermine the authority of all moderators. That is never a good thing.By the way, why is this thread still open? At least 2 mods have said this thread is closed.
  3. Votes, votes... where art thou? C'mon folks, we need more votes here.
  4. So, if I have a link at http://www.mudmall.com/, that is the URL I should put in there? That is the URL I was trying to put in and it wouldn't accept it. Does it have to be a text link perhaps?
  5. That was what I thought, but that didn't seem to work. No matter what I entered in that field it didn't want to accept it.
  6. Looks good, but what is required in the "Reciprocal Url" field? I'm trying to suggest a link but I can't get past that field.
  7. This is an experiment in coloring fractals, I think it came out quite well. What do you think?
  8. I'm glad you like it. Do you find it hard to read because of the font color or the font itself? I can make changes if you like, just let me know what you want changed. [EDIT] Here are some slightly different versions. If you had trouble reading the text because of the color this one should fix it. If it was because of the font itself, this one should fix it.
  9. Nice tutorial, but this is confusing. Where is this "Tech Style", is it a default Photoshop Style? If not, where do you get it from?
  10. I think this is something along the lines of what you are looking for.
  11. I don't think the number of credits for posts is so much the issue here. We all know that a small spam post does not earn much in the way of credits. It's more a matter of trying to stop these spam posts altogether, if that is possible.
  12. If I remember correctly, this type of glue was used quite a bit for infants undergoing operations. From what I understand the benefits were reduced scarring the ease of use, sutures required for infants are difficult due to the small size.
  13. Looks like a great idea. Anything to solve the problem of spam posts. Depending on the setting used, this mod could be very useful. I wonder if there is a mod to stop the use of multiple characters such as this... "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" That is something I find annoying, it could also be used to get around the minimum characters mod too I guess.
  14. Hmm... I downloaded and tried to run the program but it wouldn't work. It said some files are missing, or something like that. I am running Windows XP Home. (don't hit me)
  15. Seeing as this is anything goes, I thought I'd do something a little different. My entry is also a gift to Mich. Before you say you don't like the color combination, take a look at Mich's site. Then you will see why I used these colors. It's supposed to be a goddess placing stars in the night sky.
  16. And hey presto! The current SOTW is totally freestyle! Isn't it good to see that ideas are listened to?
  17. This is the first time I have seen this request. Remember that all requests need to be approved by a mod before they are visible, this sometimes causes a delay in the request being filled. I will make your banner today, be patient. EDIT: Here is your banner
  18. The overall look is.... small. You need to make the template bigger/wider. Otherwise you will have a mountain of small pages or some very long pages. Either way, a visitor will become bored quickly with so little room to put content on each page. I think the colors are good and I like the navigation, it just needs to be bigger.
  19. I can understand a person thinking this system is a scam, so many of these systems are. However, that is not say this particular system is. If a person looks at the site and decides to join and makes some money from it, (like you have) then good luck to them. That said, you must appreciate that people are very suspicious of most of these systems, do not take it personally. If it works for you, then I wish you well.
  20. I am curious about people not liking the tech border. Is it they don't like tech borders in general or that it doesn't fit this sig or that they don't like this particular tech border? The reason, (yes, I sometimes have a reason for doing things ) I used a tech border is because I thought it fitted the theme so well. The guy is a science geek, (a geek on steroids admittedly) and the game is set in a research facility full of scientists and high tech equipment. Well the first half-life is anyway, that's the only one I have played.I'm not trying to influence anyone's vote, I'm just curious.
  21. Nicely done Ashmaster, the semi-transparent tech border is something different and I think it works well with this sig. Improvements I could suggest are, increase the opacity of your name text and try to match the color of the background to the render a little more, either that or make the matching color of the render a little more prominent. (i.e. show more of the red jacket) I think you've missed the whole point of why we make sigs ourselves. It's so we can identify ourselves, not the person viewing the sig, which is what your sig does.
  22. I guess this means he won't be accepting the challenge, so here's my battle entry.
  23. So has savge17 accepted this challenge or is it still open? I have a half-life sig ready to go, see SOTW #37.
  24. Albus, I think you have come a long way in your sig making. The background and render work well together as does the coloring. A few things I think you should experiment with are blending the render, try different text effects and get rid of that dashed border. A white solid border would have worked well with this to fit in with the white hair.
