  1. No, sorry... My parents won't have anything to do with giving bank account / credit card details on the internet if it's not on the bank website...So I'm practically doomed...Not for now, but when my sites up and I need support in hosting it...
  2. I think it's just harder because you use your email account to sign in, and your email account acts like an username, so while changing the password is easy, changing the username is harder because that means you will have to use a different mean to go into your account.Anwiii is right though, they should have an more effective system in changing emails. Changing emails is a common thing, and they should set the system up so that it applies to what everyone in their target customers are doing (not that everyone is changing their emails, but you get what I mean).Someone should send in a complaint or a commentation form on this problem.
  3. Which is exactly why there are more O blood type people than any other blood type anywhere else around the world... I'm glad you actually do research, rpg.
  4. Oops... OK, wrong program then... :-/I think I kinda know what CMSs really do now, there are a couple of sites that used Joomla, and I know that they help you set up your site and help you make it look it however you want it to look.I will get started with one of those, most likely Joomla, as I've seen what can be created with them. Fantastico sounds Fantastic for starters like me!(no lame pun intended)And meanwhile, I'll be able to go on w3schools.com and learn HTML, CSS and all that, and I can experiment and refine my website building skills while I have a website running already. :)Is it hard to change from CMSs to your own template?

    Hello

Yeah, I suppose... I always get carried away when I write posts, and end up rather repetitive and all that... Darn it, Now I need to indulge and learn about the world of Introduction Posting, an essential part of website building, because I might bore my audience away with the introduction to my site before they have even begun to look at my website. Haha, jokes.
  6. Ah yes... You're right. :-/ Only AB can receive any type of blood with out clotting... lucky. And a quick search on the internet shows this: Definitions: So, there we go... And Rh is... Didn't get the last bit, but I think I get everything else now. Thanks for pointing that out, rpgsearchez. Notice from rvalkass: Quote tags added.
  7. Hmm... so, is there a place to download CMSs? I don't know... or will it be embedded into the Xisto's Logic Plan system?Re:I have taken a look at the Aptana Studio... Everything looks so complicated! I actually went to the site and to learn how to use it, but the video tutorials are so hard, with the CEO talking about the different functions and things that I have completely NO idea about. It's just like listening to a nerd talking about derivatives and tangents and all that - technical terms and technical meanings...Also, I might not need to have a WYSIWYG editor after all, after going back to my long lost but not so long lost site of w3schools.com.They give you sample places where you can try our coding and editing, so I might be able to code up there and then copy and paste the code somewhere safe so I can take it out for editing later if I want to.But I still want to master Aptana Studio... using w3schools.com isn't a long term solution, and while I can learn how to code on there, I will still need a program with everything I need on it as a file so I won't need to get scared about loosing the code or whatever...If I can only find that Dreamweaver MX2004 that I have lost so long ago...
  8. I like the way you support this hosting site, lots of people here recommend it too...I actually think the only setback is that you have to continually post over and over again to earn myCENTS, but that should really not be a problem if you keep posting questions for support on how to build your site, and answer questions on how to build other peoples site.Another setback is the lack of WYSIWYG editing programs, but I don't know whether if it's just me, as I have never used a host before and I just went to this site, so I don't even know if you are meant to code your site on their host. But either way, I can just download a WYSIWYG program or buy one, and then upload it on Xisto's server, so that should be now problem. I've been here for 3 days and I have already earned enough to start a new site for a few months...So this is actually really great!I can't actually recommend it to anyone yet, as I haven't used the service, but the forums are very positive and therefore I'll recommend this forum to any wannabe webmaster and any individuals wanting to have their own website.Cheers, Nameless_

    Hello

Hello vind14,Glad to see you here. I'm sure you will find that Xisto.com has a lot of friendly members willing to help you as you build your website. As you can see, I am quite new to this site too, but I know the basics of how to get started. For starters, signup at Xisto's Support and Billing System, so you can have your own Client Area. Remember to signup with the same email that you signed up with this account at Xisto, or it will not work.(You will need to give in your personal details, but I think you will be able to get away faking some of it)The good thing about this System is that Xisto does not require you to give in your credit card or bank account information, so it is completely secure.Once your registration order has been processed, you can get started! You will be able to see a myCENTS thing under your name on the forums of Xisto, like what most of the members and posters here have (I have one under my name too, so you can see what I mean). This means that you can start the first steps to free hosting. The thing is, Xisto isn't exactly free, because it uses real money to operate. But the good thing about Xisto is that you can earn the real money here, with the myCENTS system. (There is more information in the myCENTS introduction thread to the left of the page, where it introduces myCENTS) MyCENTS is a recent new system on Xisto, and every 100 myCENTS is equivalent to one USD (US dollar). To earn myCENTS, all you have to do is to post on this forums. The bigger and longer and more helpful the thread is, the more you earn. Spamming is NOT tolerated in this forums, and people will spam to get more myCENTS (well, maybe a little toleration, but that's only because the people here are nice).Grammar will also help you earn myCENTS.So, basically, it is a free service would otherwise be NOT free (paid) that only requires you to post here every so often. And it doesn't have to be a lot. Just once or twice a day would be fine, just a decent post with a decent number of characters.Remember to read the forum rules though, as you can get negative myCENTS if your thread is edited, moved or deleted, but that rarely happens.Anyhow, feel free to browse around and learn more about this site. It is an easy way to learn more money while learning to build your own site!!!Hope I helped you, Nameless_
  10. I have just downloaded it, seeing it has a WYSIWYG editing feature...It took less than one minute for it to finish download, but then, maybe it's because of me using my Macbook...Mac downloads fast all the time. I still need to try it out though, don't really know if it works good, but it looks good enough for me anyway. But most free things are dodgy, you never really know...(I'll try it out soon)
  11. Isn't this thread is like, over half a year old?I thought we weren't recommended to revive old threads...Oh well, I don't really know that much at all anyway, so I'm most likely wrong. But I must say that I agree with nande...If you want a website, then you should already have an idea of what you want it to be on...No point if having a website on a topic that you don't like anyway...Too time consuming and your lack of interest will show through the pages...People don't usually just have a website for nothing, you know.
  12. I believe I have been on that website before and downloaded the program...Unfortunately, it didn't work. On the day that I discovered this problem, I technically scoured and searched the internet for programs that can convert .mts files to one that is iMovie readable, and I am definitely sure I have tried that one.Nevertheless, thanks for helping...I appreciate the effort -I will download it once more just in case it does work after all though, but there is a slim chance it would. Many programs that offer .mts file convertion doesn't really work...
  13. This is exactly what I want to do... you just accurately fully summed up my intentions! I am currently learning coding and all that though, I've borrowed a lot of books from the library, and it is easier to learn everything yourself than get someone else's work because it will then be easier to edit it and change it to what you want. Yes, I will be doing that first too... I have a few website designs on my mind from other people's website, but sadly they have sold the domain and moved on to somewhere else where I don't know... So I will have to start from scratch anyway. I've also downloaded Aptana Studio, but everything looks so complicated that I don't know where to start. There are so many functions and everything, I really don't know what do to. Also, Aptana Studio isn't a WYSIWYG editor, meaning I have to do all the coding by myself... This might be good for me in the long term where I learn how to code everything and all that, but it won't be good for me in the short term and that will mean I will have to take longer to learnign coding and everything before I get the results that I want.
  14. Ooh, thanks for the support. :)Those content management systems sounds really good, but I think I have to set up my site first before I use one... or I think that's how it works. Anyhow, I'll take a quick look at the list and see what's on it. The PM will definitely come though, just depends on when I do it. I kind of already have a design on my website, but getting started with a Content Management System would be excellent for starters...And for Bandwidth, now that I know what it is, isn't a problem for me anymore, and I won't be putting up lots of contents, and almost definitely not music or movies files (almost definitely because I might change my mind - you never know, people change).I might have to do a quick research on the differences between Databases and Flat File Systems before I get started though, I have heard it is hard to change once you get up and running, and I want to avoid all the hussle and fuss once I get started. And thank you so much for your post, rvalkass. :DYou're a pro.
  15. That means I can't get PayPal then... because of the credit card payment and bank account link to withdraw funds... not that I need to withdraw any funds anyway...I don't know, I won't be selling things on Ebay either, I just want to get payment/revenue from ads on my site, maybe Kontera, or maybe just Google ads (or others, like Adsense), and since the payments that I receive can't be directly transfered to Xisto's Support and Billing Client Area, I need to find a way to receive that payment, and PayPal seemed like the only possible solution. That is, until now.(I had thought PayPal is similar to Xisto, where you don't need both a credit card or bank account details to set up an account and start earning money)Oh well, seems like I have to support my site only through posting alone.
  16. Just a question... what is the difference between positive and negative blood anyway?I know that different blood types might or might not clump when they are mixed together, giving it's suitability of who to donate the blood to, but I've never heard about positive or negative blood types, so I don't know about me...I'm O by the way, the most common and yet the most hard to donate to, because only O blood type people can only receive donations from to O blood type people, but O blood type people can donate to everyone else as well.
  17. Everyone on this post that is trying to help me...You've lost me there.Firstly, I have absolutely no idea what CMS (Control Management Systems) are, and I don't know where to download it... And I have no idea what a DB (database) and flat file system is...So you have completely lost me... Darn, creating a website is much much much more harder than I thought...There's all these controls and prompts and panels with limited space and bandwidth (which I think allows a certain limited amount of people on the site, though I might be wrong on that) that I don't really understand how to use, though I kinda half know and half not know it's function, plus all the coding work that I have minimal knowledge of but I have to use, and all the WYSIWYG software that is lacking on my computer, making it HARDER for me...Even if I had Dreamweaver, I wouldn't know how to upload it on the hosting server and on the internet, so... :)This is so sad... I'm starting to wonder whether I should just get one of those crappy Webs.com and Weebly.com sites instead and stuff everything else..BUT I'm going to and I will persevere until the end, with the help of many Trap 17 members on this great forum.
  18. Actually, we do it subconsiously everyday...It's just part of life. Usually if you really want something you will get it in the end, but that is only if you perservere. For example, I am constantly thinking of building my website and thinking of how it will look like, how it will get planned, and the stucture behind it, and everything else, including coding and all that. But this dream and desire of mind won't come true (alive, I like to call it) if I don't work on it. Even if I think about it every day, I will need to actually get my hands on the keyboard and start coding and typing and making or changing things for it to happen.Which isn't what I'm doing now. So for now, my dream to build a website (or technically two websites) will remain a dream until I actually work on it.Which I definitely will (hopefully... I usually never finish things that I start)
  19. Oh... and Aptana doesn't have it. :)And that is exactly what I need! I'll have to find some other software then, I need WYSIWYG editing software and I can't code and all that.

    Hello

Hi Andy,Glad to see you here. I'm pretty new too, I only signed up this week. The members here on this forum are very positive, so I'm sure they will help you a lot. I'm glad to have seen you already signed in Xisto's Support and Billing System. It's pretty good and earning myCENTS to keep up your site is pretty easy...Well, hope to see you around!Nameless_
  21. I bought the Dreamweaver MX2004 program a while ago, but that was when I had Windows and not a Mac... and I think I lost it anyhow, so I don't really know where it is. Anyhow, I downloaded the Aptana Package for free - haven't tested it yet, but I will when I get home from today and have some free time. Hopefully it'll work. Some books that I have borrowed from the library states that most web designers to a mini version of what they want the page to look like on Photoshop first, so I'll have to do that before I start, to get and idea of what I really want in it, the target audience, and so forth. And if possible, get some viewers to donate so I won't have to post as much (not that I hat posting, but sometimes my life is just too busy). I am thinking of doing Logic Plan package first, as it will take a while to set up everything and put everything on the site... My first site will be similar (not in design but in function) to this: http://brianwilson.info/ I have another design in my head, from an existing website, but the domain had been bought by someone else and a company bought it and changed it's appearance, so I can't show it to you. But I will when I get the Photoshop draft done.
  22. Which is why there is a small possibility of Moon Colonization in the long term... The water supply on Earth is limited, but even if it is "technically" able to sustain the world's population, sending it to the Moon constantly will waste a lot of energy, time and effort, and if water is lost out to space, we will not be able to get it back. Ever. That is why we are currently searching for other planets and their moons for water... A moon orbiting Jupiter has water on it, and NASA space explorers and scientists are currently building a machine to send there, it'll probably be done in the year 2050.
  23. Yeah, I like the new theme suggestion, this forums doesn't look professional, even though it's a web hosting site. But then, most web hosting sites don't look good anyway...There is still the new appearance contest, so anyone that want so join can do it. I won't be in it though, takes too long and I don't have time for it. But I'll be looking out for new entries (I don't think that there are any at the moment) and hopefully this will get more visitors to the site. The actual appearance actually turned me off, just to let you know...
  24. Yes your post helped me a lot...I know what the terms mean know, sound like I have the power of God in my website, I can't wait to get started...I downloaded Aptana Studio, but I haven't tried it yet. I will soon though. I hope all will go well with this. I have some design layouts in my head, so I might post them up once I'm done with them on Photoshop for tips of how to actually do it on the actual website...What's WYSIWYG editor? Aptana isn't one, it said on the website, but Dreamweaver is... Something like do it yourself or something? I don't know...But I'm glad to have you around, and I'm happy that you helped me...Looking forward to seeing you around and learning more about coding!(I'm doing the design template first though, so I'll have an extra stash of myCENTS on hand when I start in case I mess anything and everything up, which is what I usually do)And I'll be snooping around the forums for tips and hints. :)Thanks so much, kasperooney.
  25. No, there is no Ozone on the Moon. After all ozone is O3 (three oxygen particles that are bonded together) and there is a lack of oxygen on the moon, so people can't even breathe properly, let alone getting an ozone layer to protect ourselves from the Sun and Earth's radiation. And the oxygen dome IS only short term, unless they biologically change the plants on Earth so that it is adaptable to the Moon's rotation and lack of sunlight... or their will be an energy shortage.
