Hello Chris,Glad to see you here. I'm sure you will find that Xisto.com has a lot of friendly members willing to help you as you build your website. As you can see, I am quite new to this site too, but I know the basics of how to get started. For starters, signup at Xisto's Support and Billing System, so you can have your own Client Area. Remember to signup with the same email that you signed up with this account at Xisto, or it will not work.(You will need to give in your personal details, but I think you will be able to get away faking some of it)The good thing about this System is that Xisto does not require you to give in your credit card or bank account information, so it is completely secure.Once your registration order has been processed, you can get started! You will be able to see a myCENTS thing under your name on the forums of Xisto, like what most of the members and posters here have (I have one under my name too, so you can see what I mean). This means that you can start the first steps to free hosting. The thing is, Xisto isn't exactly free, because it uses real money to operate. But the good thing about Xisto is that you can earn the real money here, with the myCENTS system. (There is more information in the myCENTS introduction thread to the left of the page, where it introduces myCENTS) MyCENTS is a recent new system on Xisto, and every 100 myCENTS is equivalent to one USD (US dollar). To earn myCENTS, all you have to do is to post on this forums. The bigger and longer and more helpful the thread is, the more you earn. Spamming is NOT tolerated in this forums, and people will spam to get more myCENTS (well, maybe a little toleration, but that's only because the people here are nice).Grammar will also help you earn myCENTS.So, basically, it is a free service would otherwise be NOT free (paid) that only requires you to post here every so often. And it doesn't have to be a lot. Just once or twice a day would be fine, just a decent post with a decent number of characters.Remember to read the forum rules though, as you can get negative myCENTS if your thread is edited, moved or deleted, but that rarely happens.Anyhow, feel free to browse around and learn more about this site. It is an easy way to learn more money while learning to build your own site!!!Hope I helped you, Nameless_

Ipods are fine by me... I actually like it. It's better than the mini ones that you hang down in front of you, because you can choose songs easily and everything, when you have to keep pressing the skip button until you get to your song in those other mp3s.The only setback I see in the iPod is it not being able to play and blare music out loud - you'll have to buy a bulky player for that. But then, it helps Apple make more money, doesn't it?

Hi guys, It's Nameless_ here again.(For some reason I seem to be making more new threads than on other forum communities... must be the fact that this community is nicer than other ones, I suppose)I am now beginning to think about getting my website up and running, and getting it hosted (thanks to anwiii for the push). What I don't understand is, why do we have to request hosting if we can just buy the package of Xisto? I mean... people request free hosting all the time, most get rejected because they don't contribute enough to the forums... but lots of people also get accepted because they do...But why request? Is there something I missed? Like, if you request you get 50% off or something? I don't understand...I was thinking of just buying it off Xisto's Billing and Support Area, but I found the Hosting Request Forums and now I'm very confused...

Do you really think that the future may be at Moon?Say... who would want to eat dehydrated and dry food in space? Who would like to live in a suit (or a dome) permanently? Who would want to live in an environment that they were not born to adapt to?I still don't think our future might be at Moon. If you mean for space exploration, then maybe yes. The atmosphere on the moon is thinner, and therefore light will find it easier to penetrate through the thin layer, letting our telescopes on the moon capture images and information that might otherwise be impossible to capture on Earth. So the only people I see up there will be scientists and astronauts interested in getting scientific knowledge, not us "normal" people. Also, why would we be moving up on the moon anyway? The Earth dying? The Earth not stable? Too much population? If the Earth has a problem, the moon won't be stable too, as it orbit relies on the Earth. Should the Earth be in any danger, so would the moon, as they both go hand in hand with each other. If it is a matter of too much population, then WHO will go? Would it be fair if someone that want to stay on Earth have to go up there? Is there any say on who is going? If there is too much population, will the moon be able to sustain the extra crowd, seeing it is one-sixth the size of Earth and has a smaller surface area and everything? There are many problems linking to Moon Colonization, and to make it even harder, the Moon is linked to the Earth. It cannot budge. So whatever that might happen to the Earth will happen to the moon, and therefore I see no point in Moon Colonization apart from gaining more information on space exploration and on Science terms. Also, the moon is getting farther and farther away from the Earth. Slowly, but surely. So if we want to stay together as a species, the moon won't be a long term solution. Just think about that.

Actually if you want to get lots and lots of visitors (for free), here are a few tips:1) Try and go to different web building communities, ones that are similar to Xisto, and post your website there and ask for their opinion. This helps a lot as people will not only visit your website, but will also give you feedback and comment on it, so you can improve it in the future, making more visitors come to your improved and therefore more enticing website.2) Go on the gaming communities, or any, for that matter, and under your profile where there should be your signature, put your website there. Meet lots of people and make a lot of friends, and you friends will almost definitely go to your profile and will be able to see the link. If it doesn't work, send them a mail and ask them to look at your site. They will of course, agree, and they might give you some feedback.3) Go to communities that are related to your site, and do the same... since it shares a common ground as it is on the same topic, they will be extra interested and might visit your site often, or even regularly.4) Send a mail to your real life friends, family, school/work. Of course, they will be interested in what you have done and what you can do, so they will click on it and give you some feedback. The bonus is, they will most likely look up to you and go "Wow! I never knew that person has a website on their own! I envy them!" and treat you as someone totally different. Your boss or teacher will probably be like... "Oh my god, I never knew I had such potential employees/students and might give you a promotion/certificate/award/praise and so forth. So there goes my four tips in getting traffic... I'm not worried about traffic at all, because I plan to send my website link to the whole school and certain communities once it's up.

Ah... OK... I don't know... when I say own, I mean, owned by one person. Someone like Bill Gates. The whole society might not know that the internet is owned by one person, but any money transfered over the internet (which is a lot) will have a portion that is given to this person. And no one knows! (Apart from the government and all that). I mean, the internet isn't a free service. We have to pay for it. It's different to other public facilities where you don't have to pay (like public libraries, public toilets, etc) so where does the money go to? OK, lets say it goes to taxes, electric companies, and so on (I don't really know who we pay to, so let's assume my list is right). Is there a third party that we don't know of? A third party that is CRUCIAL to the World Wide Web, that if that party is taken down, everyone else on the online community will too... And all our work will be wasted... And that party will the the person or organization that owns the internet, with a database of all the websites in the whole wide world...

What? You can get a warning if you don't post in English?Darn... I have just effectively broken the rules of Xisto without even knowing trying to help someone fit in and understand what this site is all about.... God...

If you have noticed... I, the original poster has been avoiding this thread for a while, posting in others instead...I meant this thread to be a vent, just for me to put something down and relief myself, not a debate session!!! I'm scared from all the hostile tones and all that... keep it down guys, chill. After all, it's just a thread. And to make this post related to the topic of Homosexuality Rights, I must say that I agree with anwiii.Homosexuality is not an act, it is a sexual orientation.I still don't understand why people think girly guys are gay though. They don't have to be. Gay people are just sexually attracted to the same sex, they're not gay because they look are act like the opposite sex. It's a common misconception that should be changed and understood...Don't judge people with stereotypes, but judge them by who they really are...

Yes, it's still running... it's a recent piece of news after all...You can see that this site runs it too (well, you can't but I can, since you have over 100 posts) by running your mouse over the double underlined blue text.Ads come out, and that is what Kontera does. It doesn't look too bad in my opinion, I wouldn't mind having it on my site, it's just the problem of receiving payment and revenue, that's all.I'm close to not being able to see it soon though, and believe it or not, I think I'm going to miss it.

Yeah... this is most definitely a NO.In replying to the first poster, I think that if a company's product isn't up for illegal downloads and all that, it just means that the people that tries to copy softwares just didn't copy it, a hint that the product might be slightly useless and quite unpopular.Piracy can never be controlled, because even when companies finds ways to stop their products from being stolen and/or sold illegally, the hackers will always find ways to get through the system. Just like someone in the above posts said, it just gets harder, but there are still loopholes in the system and hackers will eventually get through. After all, most hackers are one step ahead of society... just like strains of flus and all that. New injections have to be replaced by even newer ones because of their mutation and newly gained immune system.

I believe we try our best to type good grammar and keep our spelling right so that we can attract more visitors here.I've also noticed that you haven't have a myCENTS thing under your name. You should go to the Xisto's site and register immediately (with the same email as you've signed up here so you don't waste your posts and start earning myCENTS to get started in website building! Best of luck to you and hope you'll settle in quickly!)

The Top 14 Reasons Why Your Not Normal a list
Nameless_ replied to Beautiful1's topic in Science and Technology
Beautiful1...For some reason, I find the list full of perfectly normal things (apart from the bra strap - you can see this post is more feminine related)...But the list is perfectly normal to me, so you might be the one that's not normal.Or, seeing it in another sense, you might be implying that you aren't normal because you think that a perfectly normal list is perfectly no normal. But on the other hand, if you know that by thinking this list isn't normal, you are normal because you know that...Oh my god.. you've just lost me.Either way, I still think that you're not normal. ;)So congratulations if that's what your aim in posting this thread is all about. -
Work In Progress - Aion Legion Website
Nameless_ replied to rpgsearcherz's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I don't know what Legion or Aion is, but I must say your site is looking very good!I like the fact that the game and the forums has a mixed database, as I always find it annoying having to sign up again for the forums and so I usually don't (so by doing that you have made potential forum-contributing members that wouldn't have signed up able to contribute to the forums, and traffic is always good for sites)Everything is very good, apart your intention of making it a multi-game site... I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it doesn't sound like a good idea. I would prefer to have one game for one site, if you know what I mean. Also, if I was one of your Legion members, I don't think I would be too happy if the site shares space with another game... but that's just my two cents worth. -
Mycents Aren't Transfering Into Xisto Account?
Nameless_ replied to Alex Cicala's topic in Web Hosting Support
Warn levels? I have no warn levels at the moment... but can you tell me how to reduce your warn level? -
Well, ever since I got to this site I have discovered that the internet is more than it is.Each website (even the crappiest ones) still have work behind them, and there are many things hidden behind a website that we can't see.I think it possible to shut down the internet, if something happens. Maybe the wires and all that get severed, or maybe the satellite orbiting the Earth got somehow pushed out of orbit and cannot transmit information anymore. Nobody knows. In my opinion, EVERYTHING is possible, so if this thread was about whether it was possible to have aliens come and abduct the whole population on Earth it will still be a yes from me...And sometimes I really wonder...Does anyone OWN the internet?

Mycents Aren't Transfering Into Xisto Account?
Nameless_ replied to Alex Cicala's topic in Web Hosting Support
Every 24 hours? My gets converted more than that, maybe like, three times a day... Or maybe it's just me. Time goes fast like that. And yeah... if you have changed your email, you'll have to send in a support ticket. It usually takes a few days, so maybe you might have to wait a bit. They should have a more effective system though, you're not the only first that has this problem... -
I suppose Dreamweaver is the best, I've used it before...Frontpage is good too... but not as good as Dreamweaver, I suppose. But notebook is the best if you can code...I know very good game sites that are coded by notebook and only notebook. And it's free!I still can't believe how they do that though...The site is https://www.poxnora.com/index.do(Or just search poxnora on the internet)

Yeah? I don't know, our society must be very different then. Ever since I started becoming louder, I have become a leader, which is exactly opposite to what you said. And people talk to me more, and so it's all good for me. I'm still considered as quiet though, but my friends think now (they're quiet themselves). But I suppose I might be in the loud-quiet group. A bit on the quiet side, but one of the loudest in the quiet group.

I'm suprised at how much you know... you seem to be like a walking encyclopedia or something... And I won't be suprised to know that blood type is passed though parent to offspring... I mean, haven't you heard of the expression: "It runs in the blood." (or something like that) My whole families O, but I don't know whether we're positive or negative.

Darn it... I should've read this thread before posting in the other one. Now I sound like someone that has a dream but is just too much of a coward to do so. (Which is what I am in some ways... a sad habit I really need to change) I suppose you're right, it's fear of failure that's stopping me. And I'm stopping myself too. I've never been one of great self-esteem... nor one that finishes what I start... (Is it showing that much? Or are you just an extra sensitive and perceptive person?) And maybe going into the negatives myCENTS and getting my account suspended is something I'm scared of doing too, a thing I want to avoid at ALL costs. I will set a deadline of when I will actually start the project, which I will make it the next time I have a long period of free time, next Sunday. No exceptions, and no crappy excuses to myself, unless I really can't do it, like a lack of internet connection due to some strange reason that I don't know (which is highly unlikely). And I am willing to dedicate all my free time to it (and ignore all my other compulsory work, which is what I'm doing now at the forums anyway), so I will have all the time in the world to do this. (I really need to get on with the work I have to do though, been putting it off for ages...) AND I will have the rest of the week to procrastinate (did I say I'm famous for procrastinating?) so I can't have any excuse whatsoever... Self Talk: (Get it, Nameless? No excuses. You have to do this, because you want to, and because you've been dreaming about this dream for years and years but only go up to half the tutorial of HTML on w3schools a few years ago and then quit because you're just to afraid to learn everything and everything else) OK, thanks anwiii for the post... I really need a push to get me going... I'll mail you as soon as I need help.

To rpgsearchez: Wow... actually, Joomla is actually really quite good... I might not need to learn any coding with HTML and stuff after all (but I still am in the meantime). I have been to your bryworld (it was on your profile) and like it, apart from the "Powered by Joomla!" bit, but your gaming site (which looks even better) doesn't have that, so I'm suspected I can take it off, which is wonderful!!! (I don't know if you've heard or seen in your comment box, but I might give in an article on psychology... but I don't know very specific information on that, so it might not be as good as you might want it to be. And it'll take a long time to write as I'm pretty busy) To rvalkass: Nice... I'll definitely start with a CMS then (definitely Joomla! too) and start my site off with that. Now I just have to learn how to use it, and build a stash of myCENTS for emergencies in case I won't be online for a while, which is quite often. It sounds easy to use, just depends on what your definition of "easy" is...

I swear... I should get extra myCENTS for all that effort of writing Chinese... Anyhow, this is the translation. Hi/Hello, This is an english speaking community, I hope you can speak English. My Chinese isn't very fluent, I also hope that you will understand my Chinese. You are now at what we call in English a Xisto website, it helps you build websites. Firstly, you should go to the Xisto's "Support and Billing" site, and you the same email to that you signed up here at Xisto's Support and Billing Centre to create an account. After waiting a few hours, you will see a myCENTS thing under your name. You only have to come here and comment to get myCENTS. Every 100 myCENTS will get you one American dollar (1 USD). You use these USDs to buy the website package. I hope you understand a bit more on what this site is about. (Thank god for Babelfish... I don't even know if it's worth the effort writing in Chinese, as this person might probably just go away and lose interest... and the site might not count Chinese and characters... oh well, it's worth the practice. Plus, no one probably bothered to reply so I might do it and help this poor person. Anyhow... thank god for occasional Babelfish help! I wrote the thing myself, but used Babelfish to translate some terms that I have trouble with - copy and paste the whole passage if you don't believe me... Ah well, if that person turns out to know English... Argh! I have just humiliated myself with my crappy Chinese skills!) ...At least I tried...

Haha, emo much...But sometimes I feel the same... actually make that all the time.I don't like my life at all, and sometimes I think making a website is just a way to show the world (teachers and parents) that I'm not useless. I mean, I know I'm not useless, I go to a hard to get in school and everything, but I am useless in my own eyes.People don't understand quiet people. And I am quiet. Or was. After coming to the understanding that people listen to loud people, I have been in a self-teach mode to make myself louder. It might have worked, if I don't have my stupid accent.God...And someone I know told me that this certain person don't have a lot of opinion, but that person's wrong.I told her: Just because she's quiet doesn't mean she doesn't have an opinion of stuff that matters to her. They think that quiet people just don't speak out loud. People ignore quiet people. But I try to be sensitive and listen to everyones' opinions in the group, not just the loudest people.I know that the quiet person I was talking about a moment before DO have their own opinion, but people are just too ignorant to know.I know because I used to be as quiet as that person, maybe even more. And I know what it feels like to have your ideas beaten down and ignored just because you're quiet, and no one listens to you. That is why I do my best to listen to quiet people, because most often than not, they have a valuable contribution to put in the conversation, and most often than not, their contributions are even better than the loud people...And I think I just made up a vent of my own...I'm on a roll.

Yeah, I had this problem when I first signed up...Didn't show for 12 hours, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong until someone pointed out that I needed five good quality posts and not four (because I couldn't be bothered posting anymore if I'm not going to earn anything anyway). And then it showed up quite quick, I was suprised... I already earned like, one dollar when it showed up. (I initially thought that the one dollar was free and given to any member that signed up and got processed, but then I realised this wouldn't be the case - what kind of company gives free stuff anyway? Not counting posting as free, that is)

Yeah, well... if you really really really want something (and I mean really...) then you would be thinking about it constantly anyway.(Just like the fact that I'm constantly thinking about my website that I will hopefully have one day, if I don't draw out before I really try)People that think about getting "quick rich" from lotteries usually never get rich, because they usually think about it like once a week when they buy the ticket, or when they look at the results from the draw. Also, many people (nearly everyone, if not everyone) will be thinking the same thing as you when THEY buy the ticket, so it evens out, meaning no one will get any advantage. However, if you are very persistent with your thinking and all that, and you constantly 24/7 think about it, then you will have and advantage (don't know why people will waste their time thinking about a potential win though). But remember, this is NOT a proved science, so don't go thinking about winning 24/7 and wasting your time when you could be doing more interesting things (like building and refining your website).
