Vector Sigs Rate and Comment - 56k Warning :)
Reaver replied to Reaver's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Rocktoons is great isnt it ebbinger, and i think we have great taste ebbinger because that soad image you are using for a t-shirt is my fav aswell. Remember that not all of the images i used in my sigs are my choices ^^. Point away ebbinger everyone always has something valuable to add, and dont feel you are a noob because i have only been at this for 3 nearing 4 weeks now Making the sig takes no time at all once you have the design and chosen the colour scheme i would say 10 mins, but as you can see i have added filters to the renders so they do look different from rt, and the longest part i would say is the rendering of the images -

Two Of My Latest Sigs ebbinger_413
Reaver replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
The Monika Sig is Awesome ebbinger just the text totally kills it the drop shadow effect works smoothly with the bg but i suggest maybe a totaly different shade of red or another colour altogether, the font type is ok i guess For the 1st sig maybe putting a layer mask on the render which will blend her in a bit more ( the left render that is ) Maybe try setting the text to softlight and duplicating it then working with the duplicate -

Hey guys i have certainly taken a liking to vector style sigs and have combined a few of my other sig techniques to move away from the traditional full vector renders (the pics usually people) and use just the vector backgrounds. I would like you to comment and rate them please. As you can see they are mostly to my taste(bands and movies) and then gifts. The right Neo in the Matrix sig is a full vector

Two Of My Latest Sigs ebbinger_413

Haha im you man ebbinger go to http://www.deviantart.com/ and in the search bar at the top right type japanese brush and you will find atleast three brush sets with japanese kanji unfortunately you will need Niko to tell you which one is for cat becuase they are just the kanji with no english translation, otherwise if that still doesnt help (assuming you have XP) get out your installation cd and install the east asian language packs on your computer one of which is japanses and you can use keyboard hotkeys to swap to them. The Perfect Circle sig is cool i would recommend a brightness and contrast layer on the background though just to get it brighter. Definitely change the font colour and choice for the omni-present sig and then i think you will have a decent sig. The green looks good for the Niko sig but i think you shud not go so low on the opacity of the name.Good Luck. -

Two Of My Latest Sigs ebbinger_413
Reaver replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Heheh ok now i think you have gone in totaly the other directions and these are more of a banner than a sig i think you should stick to the max size atleast that is used in a sig contest which is 450x150 and more than that and its really becoming a banner and dont go below 175x75 otherwise then its going into link banner size,,,so anyting in that range is cool, as for the sigs im really digging the first audioslave sig the blending option in the second one just doesnt work for me and the eagle looks great in the first...and dont forget your borders. -
So true plot there is no way i think that internet explorer will be able to come back from this battle because all they are doing is playing the catch up game and being second means you will always be secound....as soon as internet explorer 7 is out for proper use im sure firefox will be onto the next best thing from tabbed browsing whatever that may be, leaving microsoft to catch up again and again

Two Of My Latest Sigs ebbinger_413
Reaver replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Nice sigs there ebbinger, for the cs sig i think you should blend in the text for the counter strike a bit more and maybe try some other text effects, a bit of brushing wouldnt hurt either and even though you are using background pics maybe manipulate them by duplicating them and adding overlay blend modes or soft light , darken is a good 1 to give a cartoon or dreamy effect. The car sig is nice also work on the text blending and i agree with the others about lens flares maybe a shine of the bonnet or something but where it is now is spoiling the car.Keep it Up -

Need Help On HTML Matrix my html coded matrix seems to not work
Reaver replied to rbf1787's topic in Programming
Hi rbf1787 i cant help you with your problem but i am going to help you fix a bigger problem you might come across and that is spam in a post which with a post like yours above can get you banned, so since i see you are new please use the code tags to place your screen dumps into because this is an inappropriate way to acquire hosting credits. As you may have noticed after posting there is not a edit button for the first post so i will report this too a moderator to place in tages for you and in future if you do make a mistake that cant be edited i suggest you do the same so moderators dont come across it unexpectedly and ban you.Welcome and Good Luck -
Brad Pitt !!! How can you go Wrong .............Hehe j/k its looking good but the render you chose is choppy or maybe the blending you used on it is causing that especially round his front shoulder the bg is also looking ok but i see you tried to balance it out on the left but thats now looking a bit empty.Goof Job

Another thing is that im not sure if they have this mentioned it at the site but i ha a quick browse anyway and maple, walnut, mahogany, cherry and oak are not just any kind of wood they are tough so in essence this is a g-shock or g-force (however u want to say ) anti shock proof case. Or as i would put it an anti-dropmyipodonthegroundandbreakit case.Simple genius nature meets technology and cradles it aaaww

Also if you are going as far as getting dreamweaver romford or you already have it the all you need to do to make this even easier is use a "hotspot" it is a shape ( usually a rectagle ) that u can create on any image in dreamweaver and resize it to any size( for you the size of the button) and place it anywhere on the image itself (for u on the button). The tool button for hotspot can be found in the properties area on the bottom left hand side if im not mistaken. If in doubt use the dreamweaver help F1.The hotspot can then be hyperlinked and wen sum1 moves a mouse over the image it will only become a link if the mouse pointer is ver the spot where the hotspot is (which is invisible ofcourse) ;)Good Luck

Need A Little Feedback On My Newest Sig
Reaver replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
ebbinger i certainly must commend you on the progress you have made from your first sig, the one you have here to the half life one you are currently using, always keep the psds cos you can always go back to the project and work on it like this one for instance can be made into a semi professional sig maybe sumthing to advertise you are a member of Xisto perhaps. Just a few changes like removing the excess flares and maybe sum text effects can go a long way. -
You get a zero post count if you post in areas that have a "no post count" subheading which also means you wont recieve any credits for posting in that ares, there are a few places here at Xisto all you hav to do is read the subheading to find out if it has a count or not.

You can always dull it down abit instead of scraping the whole thing because it doesnt hav to be exactly the splash page and maybe have the bg with a punk pic on low opacity and just the buttons on the home bar or maybe even just the header with snippets of the splash page, but if you are already set on doing a new work over im sure it will only get better....i only deal with gameing websites and i have about 6 or 8 currently active so i cant help u out with any punk dezine but i u put up all ur various ideas im sure we can vote on the best ;)Good Luck -

Hahahah excellent theory clagnol F* the System..But i think that you should stick to the same theme becos in any web design even tho u are targeting the punk audience u want to attract even more people to ur site and maybe if u are lucky convert them to punk ;)So a smooth website can also be a punk website...you know the whole organised chaos deal ..Good Luck
