Hey speedy nice job, i would only suggest that you cut back the border alot and because you are making it for a sig its good not to go past 400x150 which will solve your problem for your border and set the border to overlay and that will give it a nice effect and if thats to light duplicate the border layer and lower the opacity of the duplicate. also it will be good to match the colours of your aias to your background so they blend :)Good Luck

Hey acumentech i know of a statistical program on the same level of MATLAB that i used at university aswell it is called MINITAB and is mainly to do with statistical analysis but it has mathematical calculations procedures in it aswell give it a try.

Ok i have taken these things into account : - Improved Border - Depth (I tried ) - New Text Style - Different Blending Mode (didnt use blur at all) - Trying to Find a Universal size ( liking this 1 ) - Monotone.....Still not sure about this but this sig looks "toned" - No big animation This is wat i got : Please R & C again I would really appreciate sum feedback from the Xisto Gfx Crew also when you guys have time. Hi before we start please dont double post as we can all see the topic once it is posted. But the best thing to do if you would like to learn how to edit photos of any kind would be to acquire decent software and i have read a few posts here that recommend GIMP which is open source but if you can afford to get photoshop i suggest you do so because this is excellent for editing images and there are an endless number of tutorials teaching you stepp by step with illustrations about the ins and outs of photoshop. A few places i can recommend would be http://www.pixel2life.com/ or http://www.good-tutorials.com/ and use the search engine to narrow your choices down. so i hope this helps to get you started and if its not photoshop you are delaing with then please post your program you are using to do this editing as i am sure many others here at Xisto can assist you. Oh wow i didnt think of it that way thats so cool, heh just the thought of more detail in maps and better backgrounds with larger maps is making me drool....battlefield 2 will become a thing of the past real quick. Yea nice work gollum definitely looks sinister in that wallpaper and i agree with gamerchick maybe (i assume your program has these capabilities) add an outer glow or lay a drop shadow on it and then duplicate the text layer twice to give you the see through effect and definitely make the text bigger..not alot but just slightly and im loving the background effet too, maybe u can apply that to behind his ear.

Hmmm i think golgothurteen has a point but on the other hand i have seen much worse much much worse.....*shudders*.I also think the skirts would be hilarious for dress up parties or halloween ....only i think if you go trick or treating in that especially if you were a guy that would be hilarious to say the least....you might get a few more tricks than treats

Thanks for the quick reply truefusion, i also use a few layers when i blur my images but i dont seem to get that result of making the pixel stretch and the blur seem one. I will try out your gaussian blur method - just for reference sake my method is to pixel stretch move that layer under the render apply softlight, duplicate the render then on the bottom render add motion blur with settings 0 and 35 then duplicate that layer twice which gives me the left right blur and then ctrl a copy merged go to the top render edit paste and sice that creates a new layer on that layer i gaussian blur 4.5 and then set to soft light.

Hi TheN00b101 My first peice of serious advice would actually be to start at your local library instead of the tutorials because even at university all the set works for programing languages came from books and it would also allow you and your friend to go at your own pace because the book is there and you can read sections over again if you didnt get it the first time.

Omg whats counter-strike...hehe j/k I must admit though, i know a few people who havnt the faintest idea what counter strike is and at first i just could not for the life of me understand how anyone who plays games doesnt know of counter strike but i soon realised that not everyone is into fps games and as far as that goes cs is a major. Devildude is possibly running the first published cds of cunter strike which i think was called counter strike retail by valve around 2000- 2001 and that version had a different install system and would therefore be totally unrealated for steam. So i think jipman said it best - if u cant run it just ask and im sure all the cs enthusiasts here will be more than happy to help you out.Good Luck

Thanks for the responses guy i am making those adjustments now, or trying to atleast @Avalon - the big sigs i just tried out because i am doing all possible ways of sigs i can to get a feel of it. The sub text is a pixel font that is recommended 04b_08 or sumthing along those line with pretty much no aliasing so thats teh "pixelated" reason.@ truefusion - yep 6 days and thats about half of the sigs i made because sum are not appropriate for the forum ^^ and others are not worth it. I have also taken a liking to tech borders and can you please suggest other ways of belnding besides masking using lasso tool and motion blur..@samma - the sig sizes being different is because alot of teh nz forums hav a specific size which i try to meet the max of (400x100) but since trap and asta allow a decent size i hav tried diff ones, once i get my own "style" im sure i will find a decent size. still getting used to multicoloured sigs but i would have never thought my sigs are monotone :? the borders i tried so far as u can see are tech, black stroke and a combination of 2 strokes feel free to tell me more to spice things up and yes i will work on my brushing, cheers mate.@ Cool Freaker - the second animation sig that is 140 kbs is actually a glitch if u watch it u will notice it bugs out thats because it didnt upload properly to imageshack and i didnt realize its actuall size is 650 kbs heheh please point me in the direction of text effects as that is definitly a big area of improvement for me and maybe a few tips and hints on how to get depth cheers.Reaver

Personally i suggest makin your own and then posting them here, im sure others will appreciate it.
