  1. You could also resize with the "Free Transform" just hold down shift
  2. I'd say that the image of anime was ruined in the U.S. by the distribution companies who had to butcher anime to fit with the american culture. Sub-titled anime you can get on the internet is a whole lot better then anime you can watch on T.V.My favorites are: Trigun, Get Backers, Naruto, Samurai 7, and Vandread [1st and 2nd Stages]. Appleseed is also very cool, but I don't really classify it as anime. What I'm currently watching is Mai HiME and Naruto, which seems to go on forever.
  3. They look cool. I don't happen to know how to use nor do I have Cinema 4D, so I wouldnt be able to tell you if its good or not or give you any advice...=/
  4. Master Chief looks kind of mis-proportioned there...a bit stretched out. You may want to hit [i'm assuming you are using Photoshop...] Cntrl + T and play with the shape and size until you get something that looks good. The text "Master Chief" is VERY hard to read. As for the background, you may want to make a more interesting one with better brushes [you can get some at http://www.deviantart.com/]
  5. I think following tutorials and playing with filters is a stage that everyone goes through when they just start using Photoshop. At least, I know a few people, including me, that did. What Johnny said was good advice. Read tutorials, but build on top of them to receive a unique result. I'd say, if you're going to use plastic wrap, lower the intensity a bit Also try to blend in the text and I think you would have a decent sig to show off.
  6. Off-Topic//Legally, photoshop is not free, and by calling people idiots, you might spark up a flame war.\\Off-TopicI'm mainly just gonna reiterate what most others have said. Color the text to a color that matches [bluish-Purple, blue to match the background or purple to match the render] and try different methods of blending in the render. It looks like you went around the edges with a grunge eraser. Try setting a higher opacity for the eraser, or using the feathered-lasso technique.
  7. I say that blue one's animation is too rapid....I say slow it down a little...and it does seem to cause a little distortion on the whole sig itself...
  8. Oooh...if you find that link...pm me too! i havent finished the series
  9. Take a look at Zentri, one of the newer portal/CMS's out there. It's what I'm using now, and I think its great. Check it out at https://www.zentri.com/ [if that doesn't work, try http://www.kenetix.net/ ]
  10. I think Tom and Jerry is my favorite, hands down. I even watch it today, whenever I see it on. It always makes me crack up.
  11. This is tough...i have the grunge background all ready, but I'm having problems with finding a render...what's your definition of scary? What scares you?
  12. Looks cool . I especially like the all the little designs on the side. Very abstract, but it seems to fit with the theme. 8.5/10
  13. Now THAT looks cool. I like how the grid overlay contrasts over the light and dark areas of the sig. The brushing's pretty good too. Only suggestions I can make is change the color of that circle thing in the corner to a color that matches better, and pick a different font. 8.5/10
  14. Gah..so red o_O I don't really know if I like that white cursive on the background...looks kind of strange. And I think thats the perfect font for that sig. Over all, 7/10 from me...this isn't anything special compared to your other sigs =/
  15. I'll give it a shot...and of course, it'll be grunge How about Bloodrayne for the "vampire tpye or something scary"?
  16. I used the quick mask feature in Photoshop to extract the image. I then created two other layers and used the marquee outline of the tiger and filled it in with two different shades of purple on two different layers, then I used the smudge tool to try and imitate the aura
  17. Thank you, thank you! ::takes a bow:: I'm not very good with the smudge tool though :/
  18. My apologies for double posting...I hate how Xisto doesn't have an edit button >< Here's the best I could do...the purple aura was basically impossible to extract, due to the fact that it was translucent and you could see the Chinese stuff underneath it. So I did the next best thing- I tried to imitate the aura. I extracted it using a Quick Mask rather then the extract, polygonal lasso, and eraser tools like I usually do. Well, here it is:
  19. Wow, big improvement...well done. But there are still a few minor flaws with the renders. You can still see part of the white box of the render. You were supposed to delete that before you dragged the render onto the sig. And it still looks like you are dragging your brushes. You should try clicking here and there instead. And a border is a must have. Look for a tutorial on pixel borders
  20. Wow...thats a very complicated picture....well, no guarantees, but I'll give it a shot
  21. If you are unable to find a suitable render, find a pic and pass it along to me....I'll probably be able to make a render out if it for ya....
  22. I think it may be your comp....All I see is dark blues and purples o_O
  23. I'm guessing that thing in the middle is a glare? Though it looks cool, its an odd shape Nothing for me to complain about, so i'd say it looks good... And of course......YAY FOR BLUE!
  24. I prefer PNG > GIF, theyre better in quality. I say the render is a bit rough and jagged around the edges. You may want to blur it or something. Other then that, looks good
