If you want sites to learn how to modify CnC Generals, I reccomend you visiting Generals Development Tools, or also known as GenDev. Proclone.NET is also a very helpful site when it comes to unit creation. I think it's run by an ex-westwood employee or something... DeeZire Online has a wealth of information on modding. The webmaster is very well known in the Command and Conquer-modding world. The people on the forums are helpful, and there is also an encyclopedia on modding.

I use SmartFTP also. It's simplistic, user-friendly, and works great. Makes it easy to chmod stuff too...

Google's Beta Services Recent Google Beta Services
Phyre replied to hars53's topic in Search Engines
This is one of the main reasons why I love google. They keep on offering new free services. Kind of off-topic but I think it deserves to be mentioned: There's another Google Beta, but it's really internet or computer related. It's called Google Gulp, and it's an energy drink [though I don't know how they can have a 'Beta' for a drink...]. The only way to get a Google Gulp is to get a cap from a friend who has already drank a gulp. It comes in 4 flavors! More information about it here: https://www.google.com/googlegulp/ -
Tattoos and piercings? Me? No way. I know a few people that have gone out to get tattoos and piercings, but ended up regretting it later on...the thing is, it's a bit hard [and as cammy said, expensive] to remove a tattoo. So I've heard a lot of little horror stories and such, and I'm sure i won't be getting one anytime soon...or at all...I say thing it over a couple of times before you get one...cause you most likely will be stuck with it...

I think Google is the best. Hands down. What I like best about it is the built in features such as Weather, Calculator, Dictionary, Movies, File types, and many others. I find these to be useful and time saving.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but here goes...I've seen some custom Photoshop loading screens around and was wondering if anyone knew how to get them to work or had a site that has them. I heard that you need a program called reshack or something, but I'm not completely sure...anyone have a clue?

I have to agree with the others that say that RuneScape sucks. I've played it and got bored in a few minutes. The graphics are horrid as well. I really have no clue why so many people play and like it. Darkmeca left a link for KalOnline, http://www.gameagit.com/kalonline/ , and all I can say is that game IS awesome. There's also a few MMORPGs that have an anime-like appearance. I know of two, Maple Story and Rose Online. Here's an MMORPG that's quite different from the other free ones. Instead of a hack-and-slash type of game set in a fantasy world, Face Of Mankind is a Science Fiction MMORPG. I have only had the time to play it for a little while, but it seems awesome so far...

Nintendo will always be the best for handhelds, in my opinion anyways.

New Hosting Package For Those of Us Who Need Space/Bandwidth
Phyre replied to wariorpk's topic in Web Hosting Support
All that webspace would be useless if you didn't have enough bandwith to run the site... -
Whoa, that's pretty interesting. It managed to answer every question I asked...kinda freaky.... There's also a mirrored version of Google, elgooG http://www.rb-hosting.de/elgoog-403.html

I own a GC, and I see the gamecube as more of a party station then anything else. Most serious gamers usually go for the PS2, while the Gamecube is more of a 'fun' system. My friend threw a party once, and everyone brought their consoles and games, but we didn't even touch them. The main thing we played was my GC with my other friend's games. Some of the games available on the GC seems to be made strictly for parties [such as Mario Party, Donkey Konga, WarioWare] while other games weren't so party-oriented but was still fun [super Smash Bro's Melee and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles].I also have a friend that has both a DS and a PSP, and from what he's told me, the PSP surpasses the DS in graphics, but thats about it. It's a pain to take care of and the batteries die out like crazy. I've stuck with Nintendo ever since I bought my SNES system, and I don't think that we'll be dissapointed by the Revolution. It would be nice if we could get some solid facts and statistics though....

What Is...the Better Shipping Company UPS, DHL, or Fedex?
Phyre replied to C2C's topic in General Discussion
Well, I've never heard of DHL, and I've had some bad experiences with missing and delayed packages with UPS, so I would say go with Fedex. Thats where I usually go to send stuff. -
I currently have DSL. I started off using Verizon's DSL service, but it was simply horrible. I've just recently changed to DSLExtreme and I'm very happy with it. It's an 1.5 megabyte connection for only $25 a month! You also get 10 free webhost/e-mail accounts, though they are only 25 megabytes each and are not very featured. I think that if I ever have to go back to dial-up, I would go crazy.

The Best Content Management On Cpanel
Phyre replied to lil_chris's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I am currently using the Zentri Portal System, which can be found at http://www.kenetix.net/ It's one of the newer portals. I've tried PHP-Nuke and Post-Nuke, but I found them to be too messy for my liking. I find Zentri to be a bit neater, with a cleaner appearance. It's pretty simple, and quick, to get a Zentri portal up and running. It is also very easy to manage. There are numerous great features, and you can always download more modules and blocks [in other words, add-ons...] to install. But since it IS a fairly new portal, there are not very many modules or blocks. At least not as much as php-nuke and post-nuke has. Another downside is that even though it does have integrated forums, they are a bit....different from most other forums, and can be a bit difficult to get accustomed to especially if you have been using phpbb or ipb for a while. Unfortunately, the main sites [Dev-Zentri.com and TechZentri.com] are down, but there are a few very helpful websites out there. Here's a few: http://www.kenetix.net/ http://unit-21.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ [seems to be dead but there is still some helpful information] -
Whoa, now there's a lot of games... When I'm bored, I usually just browse random news sites like Yahoo News or Slashdot. Every once in a while, I also stop by http://bash.org/ and read some of the quotes, which are almost always entertaining. I also frequent quite a few forums and mod sites.

Send Earnings Basically, you can make a new e-mail account [you will be getting a LOT of e-mail, so you shouldn't use an e-mail address where you receive important letters and such] and sign up on this site, entering in the new e-mail and information. They will then send you a couple of e-mails a day from various advertising companies. All you need to do is open up the e-mail, click on the link inside of it, and read the page. You receive 1-10 cent's for every link you click/e-mail you read, and receive $5 for every friend you introduce to the site, with your recruiting link. You can supposedly earn hundreds of dollars per month. Another bonus, is that they are currently having a little special. if you sign up now, you automatically get $3 for free. In some e-mails, you even get deals and discounts for online shopping, and links to surveys you can take for additional money.

Though a high-paying job would be nice, I would rather having an average paying job where I could have fun. I would go crazy if I had to work at some place I hate just to make lots of money. In my opinion, mediocrity rocks . 1) Graphics Artist [i enjoy messing around in Photoshop and creating things, and I've gotten pretty good at it over the years...well, better then the majority of people my age anyways.] 2) Something in medical [Eh, it runs in the family....] 3) An author [i hate writing essays and such, but I've always enjoyed creative writing.]

Yeah, the original Need For Speed Underground was addicting as well . I've been wanting to play the second one, but I happen to be a bit short on cash . Is there any major differences in game play and features from the original? From the pictures, it looks quite similar.
-
I've played and enjoyed the original Need For Speed Underground, as well as Midnight Club. As for Grand Turismo, no clue. I would reccomend Need For Speed Underground though.

It would be easier to just call though, there is no need to ask your sister to take you. Either that, or go online and check the website of the company that made the modem and ask for support there.
