Please try again using cPanel to change your password. There's a session control when attempting to change it within X amount of time.Your main FTP account has the same password as your cPanel account. Unless you want to change other sub-account FTP password, it is not possible unless you change the cPanel password. You can only change sub-accounts password.

I don't have ADSL modem with 4 port router but I can access my ADSL since my modem is single port with configurable router.Unless your ADSL provider or the ADSL manufacture says otherwise, you can access your ADSL modem/router by simply going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. You will need administrator's username and password. It varies by brands but the default is admin/password, respectively. But if the router feature does not provide port forwarding, like mine, you will need to add another router/hub to make it happen.ADSL modem -> configure to select IP -> router/hub -> port trigger

Overload #2 How to stop or fix it?
BuffaloHelp replied to MaineFishing45's topic in Web Hosting Support
I don't know the exact reason but in very rare few occasions the SQL will perform a quick check or halted and experiencing a hiccup. This is when you'll see that error message. OpaQue will be able to answer better than I, but this problem resolves itself--as you noticed. -
I really had tough time deciding which one would get my vote. I was so conflicted that it took me over 3 days to decide on my vote. But at then end it came down to what I have not seen in the past--Avalon's unique way of presenting his signature. I liked Avalon's decision to make his font vertical yet, when flipped, it goes left to right. For some reason this appealed to me the most. I originally wanted to pick Saint Michael's but Avalon's uniqueness took me by surprise. I really enjoyed everyone's submission. And I truly have to say that I thought long and hard for my vote--if that matters anyway. I'm glad to see that we are getting better at presenting our GFX works and acquiring other members to participate! Go GFX Trap and long live our participants!

A Good News Update From a liberal perspective
BuffaloHelp replied to gaea's topic in General Discussion
Hot News FIR was not meant for you to copy and paste articles from another source. http://ww31.gnn.tv/articles/2152/The_Good_News_Roundup to start showing you copied. The rest I'm not going to even search since I can see that you made your copies. And do not double post. You can edit and add contents. However it may have been, do not copy! -
Political Art Work? Does it violate the TOS?
BuffaloHelp replied to gaea's topic in Web Hosting Support
As long as you have the proper copyright privileges, your image should be alright. However, when you want to share your website or images with Xisto forum, I sugges you post a fair and responsible warning before entering your site. We have minors present in our forum. It is everyone's responsibility to not to promote graphic natures. -

My Forum Registration Problem? Hmmmmmmmmm....
BuffaloHelp replied to savge17's topic in Web Hosting Support
I used my Yahoo account and received the activation letter without a problem. However, it landed in my bulk folder because your FROM contains no data--meaning there's no return address. This is easily flagged as spam for many major email servers. Perhaps that's why AOL rejected right away. -
You may not find any additional support beyond what Invisionize provides since this is the exact reason Invision Board 2.0.x was retired and no longer provided by Invision for even a trial download. You could find security patches by searching but since Invision Power Board no longer supports that version, it will be on your own.

My Forum Registration Problem? Hmmmmmmmmm....
BuffaloHelp replied to savge17's topic in Web Hosting Support
Be specific starting from the title. When you say "Forum Problem" do you mean yours or ours? Make sure you specify exactly in the title what your question/issue is.Secondly, unless you tell us what your forum is running (Invision, phpBB etc) and if you have made any modification to the board we cannot even start to discuss what may be causing your forum software not to register new members. Thirdly, are you saying that people cannot see the registration page or cannot continue and receive registeration information after the registration process? Last caution on manner of making a post. -
cPanel login is what you requested or entered during the hosting activation process. The password is also chosen during that process. Check back to you application for review. If you forgot your cPanel password, use the Process page to reset your password. Do not use any caps for cPanel user name. And looks like you signed up subdomain name with .tk. This is not a real domain name but a redirect service. If you entered yourSite.tk during the activation process you must change it using the Process page back to yourSite.trap17.com. Otherwise your site URL will not work.Remember, a redirect service domain name is not a real subdomain or domain name.

There is something you should know about Invision Board. If you don't have a license to have one, Xisto and other hosting services--both free and paid--will no longer provide Invision board these days. Therefore, even if you can request Invisionfree to backup your database and download it, you will not be running a forum service using the backup unless you have Invision Power Board to install.

A person might create a folder/file under public_html only if that person might want to access the information using a browser. If one would to use FTP or cPanel from a remote machine one can place a file anywhere in his/her hosting space--under the directory before public_html.However, with keyloggers and spyware age, I would think twice about using cPanel login or FTP program from a machine that is not your own or from a public computer. You may choose to modify a folder with password protect (a builtin feature in cPanel for your hosting) that requires login without a script. This is still the best secure way to access your information from a remote/public computer.

I am understanding the question as:after submit ==> see new page (with different jpg)is this right? If so, you can do <form method="POST" action="run your script to submit" name="myform" ><input type="hidden" name="name of another function that redirects" value="the secondary file"> And on "the secondary file" you can do <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="1"> This will refresh the secondary file's instruction in 1 second. This is useful if you enabled cookies and it needs to be forced refresh. You can adjust the seconds or not include it at all.

About Ipb Trial 2.0 Legality, Registering, etc
BuffaloHelp replied to htdefiant's topic in Websites and Web Designing
In regards to my questions to IPS, this is an email response back from the head sales department: The question comes down to the underlined part of the answer: is it still legal to use a trial version if I downloaded from IPS directly back in the days? The official answer is YES. However, the answer continues to say that if you had it for few months you should purchase a license. This means that it wasn't meant for to be used after the trial period or the limitation has reached. So what defines a trial period? Is it from the day you downloaded, let's say May 2005 till July 2005? Is it from the time of the installation until the limitation or from the version release date and few months thereafter? The definition I found from the web is a time when an item can be tested but did not specify when the actual time measure begins--the time of obtain and ownership or the time of actual usage. Therefore, I am going with the popular acceptance of "from the time of installation." However, this is with a condition. As the reply from IPS states that if you have it for few months or so, you should purchase it. This will be the only condition which I will not suspend any hosting account with a trial version installed. But, if OpaQue receives one little comment about your forum's validity at a first sight your hosting will be terminated. I'm not about to lose my hosting and the rest of Xisto because of another's disregard for the copyright law. Okay? Everyone happy? PS. My apologies go out to MaineFishing45 for his inconveniences during this deposition. -

I think the first step is to be creative with thoughts. You can use the Invision default logo but why not be creative by using your signature name, Freeman? And so I give you FM logo You can start with a simple idea and just add little more at a time. A simple text manipulation. I started with a white square and turn it 45 degreeds. Then I added the FM text and cut away the text part. I then return to original degreeds and then added the drop shadow. Finally, filled the background with nice shade of blue family.
