Cant Even Connect To My Hosting Account
BuffaloHelp replied to tdktank59's topic in Web Hosting Support
When it seems like others can see your site, try this next time: Open your command prompt (Start > Run > type CMD and enter) type PING http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ then hit enter If you see an IP address of gamma (64.69.46.210) returning then you should be able to see your site from your browser. If you cannot see the IP address, there's a block from your computer to your site. This can be one or more of reasons: your firewall is blocking or your ISP is blocking. I am able to see both of your URL provided. How about stating the advantage of asking a question to a student instead of, let's say, an old and wise man living in the highest place in Himalayas? :lol:What sets you apart from all these gurus on TV these days? How is your answer different from self-help books and Wikipedia? Etc...A detailed introduction to your project would most likely to receive better response and replies. And furthermore, that is the standard discussion format of any forum place

Mich, congratulations! OpaQue was very impressed with your work. In fact, he was impressed with all works submitted. :lol:As you can see, the banner to Xisto has been changed to Mich's SOTW #50. And I wanted to see if members of Xisto would really participate SOTW out of free will--and not because some reward is at hand.Mich I am rewarding you with 100 hosting credits. Enjoy your reward and thank you everyone for participating Xisto - Web Hosting's challenge! Please confirm via PM.Thank you everyone. A job well done!PS, Mich there's a typo with your description. This has been asked many times. Please use the *SEARCH* topic before making a redundant question. You are allowed to have ONE Xisto.com, ONE Xisto.com and ONE Xisto.NET account.Do not make Xisto.com and Xisto.com with the same cpanel username. Otherwise you will face automatic deletion with one of your accounts.Topic answered; closed. If you would like to continue this discussion please PM a moderator.Thank you.

Can't Upload .htaccess And .mdu File... bad filenames
BuffaloHelp replied to jaemarkbox's topic in Web Hosting Support
I am little confused. Xisto - Web Hosting is paid hosting. Only free ones are Xisto.com and Xisto.netAnd seeing that you're not hosted with Xisto.com, are you refering to Xisto.NET?If so, please post it in the right section next time. I will wait for your reply. -
Updated cPanel version is transparent to those who use hosting. But for server admins and small security measures, the update was a huge improvement. Please follow this link http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and read changes from version 10.6 to 10.9 Thank you.

I regret to inform you that port designated for outgoing mail is always set to 25. It cannot be overwritten due to internal security reasons. Mail must go through port 25 otherwise it will not be delivered. Please read full thread why you might have been experiencing with outgoing mail by reading this topic http://forums.xisto.com/topic/91444-topic/?findpost= How are you trying to send your mail, via Outlook or cPanel? Have you configured your Outlook correctly?

Suggestion To Mods And Admins About your Staff Topics
BuffaloHelp replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes topics left open draws attention to that topic, whether they were for moderators or not. If moderators made a habit of checking the staff section as soon as they log in, perhaps we can close the topic only for STAFF section. But we're not robots Sometimes we digress. As for my personal experience leaving STAFF topics open helps me to check this section. Some moderators have been very clever, i.e. jlhaslip *ahem*, by creating topic title as catchy as it can without "spoofing" a member in question--let's say.I may have been swamped with PMs but as I glance over LAST TOPICS it reminds me to look over newest topics and thus, I get to see STAFF topics. But that's just me... -
When you say you "can't" log into your cpanel, are you getting an error message saying that you don't have the permission or invalid password? Please specify the details in which your steps have been processed. This will reduce wasted time trying to figure out the exact issue.Have you clicked on "YES" when a browser authentication window pops up? Are you entering your CPANEL user ID and password and *NOT* your forum ID and password? Are you using the correct URL? It's your-sub-domain.trap17.com/cpanel and not anything else.

What about exporting Excel as HTML file?Recent version of Excel will have your work as HTML during SAVE AS option. Will this work for you?If not, Google offers Spreadsheet that people can view by your choosing.

Please understand our credit system before you venture out to get hosting with Xisto. Costing 30 credits means you will have to pay 30 credits. You earn credits by posting. You don't walk away with 20 dollars you had when you enter the store and bought something for 10 dollars, right? Cost means "cost": meaning it will be subtracted from what you have. Furthermore, if you have 50 credits and cost 30 credits for hosting plan #2 do not think that you'll have 20 credits left. Xisto credit system does not work that way. It will be reset to a default number (in your case somewhere around 4) so that you remain active after receiving a free web hosting, no ads from Xisto. This is how we work to gain forum participation. Refer to Xisto Readme (located in my signature) Refer to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ for hosting tutorial Refer to Hosted Members Section for pinned topics regarding credits (regular members cannot reply) Refer to Questions and Queries section Posting in the wrong section will result in warning level adjustment as well. Please read *ALL* forum sections and their descriptions before making a topic. Moving from General Talk --> Question and Queries. Topic closed.

It is VERY hard to determine what the possible error could be without seeing your actual script file. Try attaching it in the post. But just for the fun, if you used the exact copy of the complete script, try making change to the following line: Line #2 $font_file = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']."../path/verdana.ttf"; Note the double "period" in case you didn't place the font under the folder called "path". BTW you created a folder called "path" or other and change it accordingly?
