Linksys Befw11s4 Wireless Router Issue it is usual??
BuffaloHelp replied to contor's topic in Computer Networks
Most likely you are not connected to your own wireless router. This is #1 mistake users make when using wireless router out of the box.See if you can enter your router admin control... usually 192.168.1.1 Change your SSID to something unique, like your street name spelled backwards. Once that is changed see if your wireless connection shows the same SSID. If not, the reason you're not connecting is because you're not connected to the correct router--and not your router not sending packets. When you know you're connected to correct SSID, use your wireless connection control to set that SSID as preferred. This is the time to install WEP for your wireless. Refer to your manufacture's instruction. To avoid further hacking attempt from free loaders from outside trying to hop onto your wifi, disable broadcast of your SSID *optional.Try this first and see if you're having further issue. -
Actually, using javascript is worse... what if a user diabled java with the browser? Then javascript is useless. Well anyway, topic was answered and now closed. If you would like to continue this discussion please PM a moderator.Thank you.

Linksys Befw11s4 Wireless Router Issue it is usual??
BuffaloHelp replied to contor's topic in Computer Networks
Topic moving to Computer > Hardware (remember this section next time). No it's not normal to "freeze" something that cannot be frozen. So describe how it freezes. Is it cold? Does it stop working like a router? Are you unplugging the power to make it work again? How did you set your router, as a router or a gateway? Do you have your DHCP enabled? If so is your router IP address conflicting with your modem? What kind of broadband service do you have, i.e. PPPoE, Auto-dynamic or Static? These are the important information you should provide when you are requesting for a hardware support. Otherwise, your initial post is meaningless and empty. -
Honestly, this is the second time in this month that members have asked ASP question... are we not searhing? Are we not reading the Xisto.com home page? This is ridiculous folks. Please *SEARCH* the forum, read at least two pages of topics listed, refer to Xisto.com index page and Xisto Readme and *THEN* post a topic.Closed.

What was the last thing you did before this happened? Have you tried clearning your FileZilla's queue window? -
Try reading this topic http://forums.xisto.com/topic/39934-dns-hijack-searchathandcom-browser-result-removal-this-is-a-browser-hijack-and-method-of-removing/ and see if your DNS has been hijacked. Do the spyware scan and clear out all your cache, downloaded files and look through your installed software for any abnormality.

Robots.txt is very easy to understand and you can write it with notepad. Visit http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ for more information. Basically it tells which bot agent to view or not to view (a.k.a. indexing) certain directories and files. This is useful when you hold files/filenames that may change or deleted in the future. You don't want bots to report back as "broken link." This will cause search engines to flag your site/content as "unreliable."

My Site Cannot Display A Web Page Help
BuffaloHelp replied to Robbie Rotten's topic in Web Hosting Support
Robbie Rotten, You really need to learn our forum rules. I have no choice but to draw your attention by issuing you a warning. Checking your account, your domain is actually "lazytown.trap17.com" instead of what you gave us. And someone, perhaps you, deleted all key folders that are needed for your web hosting account to function correctly. Only folders and files I see are: .cpanel-datastore .trash .lastlogin .rvlastlogin Where are /public_html/, cgi-bin etc?? If you have deleted them you will need to terminate your hosting and reapply to initialize new hosting setup. Your account cannot be restored any other way. You can terminate your hosting using our automated process page. https://support.xisto.com/ Thank you. -
Is There Any Ways To Take More Disk Spaces ?
BuffaloHelp replied to ProtoMan's topic in Web Hosting Support
Trap17 only offers two hosting plans for free web hosting, no ads members.Xisto - Web Hosting.com offers 2.1GB with 33.3GB bandwidth per month for only $3.33 per month. That's not that hard to pay if you need more space. -
It depends on what you are looking for. When asking a such general question, I suggest you list the qualities of hardware you're expecting. As well as state what you are planning to do.For example, are you looking for a computer that will do just email and internet surfing? If so you can pick one up for $200 US dollars. But do you need a monitor? Do you need a sound card. ETC.Xisto asks you to post quality posts and detailed description and information.

I will look into why OpaQue's topic has been broken. It's listed here in Xisto Readme How Hosting Credit Works Listed under Pre-Signup FAQ Everyone shoul at least read EVERY link that was compiled by admins and mods under Xisto Readme. Everyone should refresh with Xisto Readme frequently.

Mobile Games On My Wap Site Allowed? Downloadable?
BuffaloHelp replied to Chatz's topic in Web Hosting Support
I would strongly suggest that you obtain somekind of written permission to host it in your account. If not you can provide a link to the original downloading place. -
I like this thread. Excellent discussions pouring out here.Ultimately our vision for this forum is that Xisto becomes a community rather than some forum place. Like everyone who posted here, you know that each of us should really take care and cultivate our forum. This will encourage experiencing "ownership" of this forum. This means, if someone starts to place disruptive posts in our forum each of us will guide and help that member to post in accordance to our forum rules.Going back to the topic, quality can only be defined by you. Obviously Xisto forum rules states general definition of what quality contribution should each post be like. But at the end my definition of "quality" is different from yours. There are two definitions of "quality" when it comes to Xisto, in my opinion.1) The actual contribution - grammar, spelling and structure that offers clear and precise straight-to-the-point of view2) The flow of a thread discussion. Are you creating a topic that many people are participating with so many different point of views? Or, are you creating a topic that hardly anyone replies...but you do it anyway to earn hosting credits?Credit script calculates hosting credits earned. Quality contribution is calculated by those who read it. Thus, the more quality post you supply the more discussion it will attract. This equals more replies to the topic and more hosting credits earn.
