Someone used HIDE code that parsed in the shoutbox early this morning.HIDE code was updated so that it will not parse in the shoutbox, personal portal page and PM message.Thank you for finding this bug. Topic resolved.

This will determine if the email is a legitimate email sent by Xisto server or a fake one.The reason it is assumed as a fake email is that your forum name is never associated (unless you set it so) with your hosting account: you should know that your Xisto cPanel name was not used right? Server administrative only sees your cPanel and domain information--they never associate with the forum information when sending an important notice like that. If the username used matches with your Xisto cPanel account name, you should make your post at Xisto; not in Xisto.If this turns out to be a fake email notice, someone is trying to phish your account information by following the link provided, perhaps.

Please specify "domain name."If you changed to a top level domain (not a sub domain) you should know that you have to wait about 24-72 hours before your domain name can be propagated. Which means, your-domain.com/cpanel will not work until your-domain becomes propagated (properly resolved). In the mean time you can access your cPanel by using IP-address/cpanel or gamma{dot}xisto{dot}com/cPanel

First, let's understand the difference between Private IP (intranet) and Public IP (internet). Private IP may change all the time and to whatever you want. Public IP is the set range IP address for your university. These will never change. It's like a mailing address--the physical address (this is internet) will not change but you can have different apartment numbers (this is intranet). When I asked for the actual IP address, I mean the public internet IP address. So no need for requesting hundreds, thousands of IP addresses to be unban--if this is the case. For example, accordinging to our records (besides using other ISP) you've only used three unique IP addresses from your university (netrange *.*.16.0 - *.*.31.255)If in fact your IP or IP range have been banned, it's probably at the Xisto - Web Hosting's end or your school's firewall end. So let's walk though few different scenarios: You could have multiple failed login attempts. There were attempt to run a script that might have deemed as "abuse." A script uploaded caused server to lag. Anything out of the ordinary that can be seen as critical to hosting server.You left your FTP connection open for a long time (upload/download/idle). This connection sends requests back and forth from your computer (university) to Xisto - Web Hosting server. Although Xisto - Web Hosting understand it as FTP connection, your school's firewall might misunderstand it as "massive ping attack" or something rather, that can cause "refuse/block connection" from and to Xisto - Web Hosting's IP. This is what I explained as internal firewall problem.Lastly, ISP backend issue (not related to your university or Xisto - Web Hosting). This is rare but unusually common these days. When you connect to a domain, you are almost never connected directly. You are connected to, sometimes referred to as, cache server. This cache server holds 'cache' of other pages/infos so that it speeds up the request time. Sometimes these cache servers would be resetted or dumped and it will require some time to resynchronize before you can "visit" again. Your friend who does not have any firewall, he is connection from off campus or within the university's internet connection? If he's in within the campus, no matter what he has installed in his compuer he is still behind the firewall of your university.One other solution that has not be mentioned is editing HOSTS file. This is basically a blind connection without the proper resolve--so to speak. I wrote a little instruction about it. You can find it by searching for HOSTS from Xisto Readme list.See what could be the common action taken from your end when your problem started to happen. And perhaps the actual answer might come up instead of these speculations

I'm thinking I have already addressed this issue... but then again, I could be referring to somewhere else.Anyway, this error is abnormal but will not hinder any function except for few minor font size. OpaQue is aware of this but cannot get to it as of yet. All subscription will function as usual and OpaQue will get to this as soon as he can.Thank you.

When a computer on a network cannot even ping a site, it's normally due to ISP's cache node resolve or due to internal firewall. Although you are convinced of this may not be the issue, using school's network which you do not have full administrative privilege can't say it isn't either.A university's ISP clears cache node to keep internet traffics free from old information. This is a some what standard practice these days--my university has a set protocol which updates and reconnects to ISP and other cache nodes every x amount of days.Besides this intranet speculation, the next likely problem could be that your IP has been listed under Xisto - Web Hosting's IP ban list. Xisto - Web Hosting has its own firewall where multiple "failed" attempts from a particular IP address flags ban script. This is to prevent your account and Xisto - Web Hosting's server from any malicious acts. To see if this is your case, please email your actual IP address to support{at}Xisto - Web Hosting{dot}com and request your IP to be released from the ban list.

Thanks, serverph! Looks like you addressed and covered all basis. I too was able to visit your forum and made two shouts as "guest." If you recently changed your nameserver to Xisto - Web Hosting, it takes 24-72 hours before it is propagated. I think that was your issue. Next time could you explain all your situation, like the date of your nameserver change? Thank you. I'll leave this topic open little bit longer.

There are other forums which supports hijackthis log files. Xisto does not provide this support. INCLUDE, unlike REQUIRE, will continue whether the file being included is correct or not. It will try to digest and if it encounters error, INCLUDE will keep on going to the next set of commands/lines etc.Because of this voracious appetite of parsing, all functions and classes segregated from the main PHP files are usually named filename.inc.php.If you want to include functions that returns some value, you should have the including file as filename.inc.php.

Forbid the thought! Each credits earned equals 1 day of free web hosting. So if you are going away for 30 days, you should at least have 30 hosting credits. When your hosting credit reaches ZERO your hosting will be suspended and your account automatically terminated with it reaches -30. Yes. Majority of your pages must be in English. If you want to provide your language of choice, at least leave a rough translation so that the server admins can understand your website. You may design a website with translation to exact, if that's what you are asking.

No one can create an accont without admin of this forum adjusting a member's account. And the status of a hosting account depends on the status of a forum account (such as hosting credits, member's group).So one cannot exist without the other (loosely said).Admins do not create shell account for any member. Knowing that, you can create an account that is completely different from the information provided with the request application. And this is okay--if an account contains duplicate name from of another, you have the freedom to change it on the spot.

Files cannot be restored if you use FTP.If files were deleted using cPanel, you can always restore them by going to the recycle bin (unless you performed empty of your recycle bin).When you "mess" with default file settings for your hosting account, admins cannot undo it for you. The only way is to terminate and request for another one.

What you mean by "ordered" as in it's not aligned with each other at all? This cannot be possible using just CSS or anything else because the character width of each letters, i.e. A, O, V, W, I, M and P. The simplest way to resolve the alignment issue is to create LETTERS in graphics with all of them having the same width and height. The method you should try is to align "Beginning with" and let LETTERS drift offBeginning with ABeginning with OBeginning with VBeginning with WBeginning with IBeginning with MBeginning with PAnd these would be enclosed within a DIV or TABLE and centered to a page...The complicated way is to use CSS to set LETTERS as the same width with same space apart. But you may end up with 26 different cases to align them all in a line, not to mention they may not look all the same (some wider than others).

Hey, I made the current one! lol. As I said, I wanted to place something default so that you guys know what I'm trying to do. And you guys can figure out which to replace with the one that I made from Brilliant Buttons site.There's no restriction to the size. I matched the one for admin/mod badge (80x15). You can decide to make it bigger but remember to keep it small in file size so that it loads fast. The only thing it cannot be at this time is animated insignia. I'm going to upload the image to the forum server (via forum gallery) so it will always come up.
