Email Assistance Help with Hosting Emails
BuffaloHelp replied to Zaccid's topic in Web Hosting Support
You do not need to give out your cPanel to access the webmail. For example, you gave one email account to your client, client1@yoursite.host, your client can access your set webmail program, i.e. Horde, at 69.50.188.18:2082/horde/ and log in with desired or the ID you set for that client. cPanel ideally should be access by only you. -
4 New Fractal Sigs No, really, theyre awesome.
BuffaloHelp replied to Johnny's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
ACK! I didn't realize you gave titles to each sigs. I'm getting old...small fonts are my adversaries! -
No. None of us can edit the member's title (the one just below the avatar) even our own. We, mods, were able to in the past but I think OpaQue did not install for the new forum version. It was an idea since anyone can just swipe the logo or logo link and place it in the signature. Any time. Any discussion is a healthy one and there should be one who directs the discussion to the final goal. Otherwise it'll just be a random thoughts posting, ya know? You're not bossy....yet. HA~!

Why Do These Things Happen? Ill Explain ...
BuffaloHelp replied to Zaccid's topic in General Discussion
I am neither psychologist nor here to judge you any way. But when you say you are not hurting anyone by turning your anger inward and put smiley on your arm, you are actually hurting someone--you. Perhaps maybe you're not comfortable or even dare to say that you don't love yourself. Perhaps maybe the core reason you feel that you seem to have relationship issues is that you cannot have the one relationship that is most important--acceptance of yourself. And maybe, just maybe this uneasiness with yourself comes from your traumatized childhood. That may be. Sometime in life, you have to kiss butt before you can start kicking it. Before you can free yourself from these unhealthy chains you should really reach out and talk to someone who can really give you the guidance. You have to start trusting someone at some point, right? Let your guard down and seek professional help. It's better to live to tell at 80's than leaving a young corps at 20's, am I right? Forget about this girl named Sam. Forget about your father's abusive ways. Focus on you. After all, when everything is stripped away the only one who's standing with you IS you. Don't make their problem become yours. When you take on other's problem intermingle with yours it only make you self-destructive. I have reading suggestion for you. It helped me greatly when I was struggling with the meaning of life and death. It's Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I hope this literature brings a new perspective to your ordeal. And remember, it's easier to talk to strangers without faces. Thanks for sharing. -

Thank you for the question. However you divide the usage or dedicate your space, your total cannot exceed the given package's hosting space. So, if you have the package 1 you cannot exceed 20MB of total storage. That means when you have the entire website at 5MB, the total mail storage is 15MB. -
Excellent suggestion!A while ago someone made a post to volunteer to create a logo to be tailored for a user. Why not make the first collaborated project to be creating user tailored avatar? I see some members were creative on their avatars but some were using default ones. While there's nothing wrong with using what you'd like, I think the easiest request and project to start would be a simple 64x64 avatar (either animated or non-animated). Getting back to the topic, will you (Johnny) create a similar requesting form to Free Web Hosting Form? An automated form generator would certainly make your life easier.Edit: Ohhh, just had an epiphany. I wonder if OpaQue will ever install a module to edit member's title. Then, you wouldn't need to police TRAP 17 GraFX Crew logo as part of the signature since only high members and moderators can edit them. Or perhaps request to OpaQue (if he's not going to install the module) to edit a particular member's title. That way only admins have the control over who is a genuine GraFX Crew. I'm trying to coin that phrase, "TRAP 17 GraFX Crew"

No, your computer does not slowdown if you install loads of fonts. But, your program MIGHT start up slow and perhaps operate slower if you have 1000 fonts to be loaded for your Photoshop (for example). The entire system will not slow down unless those fonts are needed to be associated.

Well, I cleaned a computer that was invaded by Ceres but it was no way near 30. That computer had 3 but it was pain in the butt! This is what I did. I downloaded any spyware detector (spybot search & destroy was a good one) and I wrote down what was triggering and the path it was residing. Then, I started to a safe mode and manually deleted those files according to their locations. I also ran regedit and searched for CERES and made sure that they are not residing anywhere near the run= or path= area. Basically I deleted every value that contained CERES.And I restarted the computer and ran the Spybot again. It was free from that point on. I also protected the web access by downloading SpywareBlaster to keep my browser accidentally going to those "dangerous" places.

At this point, I'm going with WMA format. The reason is simple: my current interest is revolving around DVD creation for my work and home. And instead of creating a real DVD player format, most of the times I am saving directly as a file. With Windows Media Player 9 Encoder, I can add Dolby 5.1 surround sounds to my mpeg4 video. And the best of all, it's free. Now, you can't tell me that's not good enough. Hee hee. The compression ratio of WAM to DIVX is almost comparable. There's been many tries to make DIVX Dolby 5.1 capable but with so many add-ons you have to do, I think WMA Encoder is simple enough that anyone can just click and add.

The first one reminds me of electronic microscope looking at 1000x magnification of something organic. Perhaps something like a virus. And the electronic microscope is zeroing on a target... I've spent too many hours in a lab.The third one reminds me of neurons chemically interacting with one another. In fact, it resembles brain cells lighting up to communicate with one another. Very cool! The last one may look as some kind of a virus invading but I think it resembles a solar flare. But the second one is bit bland. -
Domain Name Not Working Help please
BuffaloHelp replied to canpolitics's topic in Web Hosting Support
As of July 28th, 12:05PM (GMT-5) Your site is up and running. But it's loading really slow. Upon a ping test the average ping time is 309ms. I'd lik to take the credit for fixing it but the real answer is, I have no clue what fixed it.Keep on watching to see if it goes down again. Bytheway, nice looking site. -
Domain Name Not Working Help please
BuffaloHelp replied to canpolitics's topic in Web Hosting Support
I want to clarify that you have done the followings:You must NOT touch or change any A RECORD or CNAME RECORD. Leave it as is. I see that your A record is also set to ns2.trap17.com.I have my own domain that is hosted by Xisto and the ONLY thing I updated is the nameserver, primary: ns1.trap17.com and secondary: ns2.trap17.com. Yes, I did have an error message saying that ns2.trap17.com wasn't reachable when I updated my records, but after 24 hours it was working flawlessly. Since then my ping to my domain points to Xisto hosting server (69.50.188.18). -
Topic solved and thus thread closed. Thank you all.

It's lowered by one warning level for about 30 days. In your case, that will be back to 0%. Edit: PS, please do not PM moderators or administrators to request your warning level to be reviewed. We are all on a patrol for every post and every member.

Holy jeebus! You ARE old... perhaps as old as I am? I really, really, (have I mentioned 'really') like the font! Although I do not know you well, I know of you. The font suit your personality, I suppose I can say that. I also like the denim like crossed stitched background. The render should be the dark one compare to the lighter version you posted. But what I can't figure out is what are that dark-red spots on the face? I can sort of see the one near the eye as "blood tear" representation (although I'm not sure even if that) but what's with the chin spot? Don't get me wrong, I still like it but it looks like she had this massive spaghetti dish and the sauce got over her face. No one sees that?

I read your thread on http://forums.xisto.com/topic/8060-tell-your-view-about-moderators-are-they-doing-their-job/page-2#entry165505 and not trying to be combative but I thought I would explain the situation. This forum cannot have one rule with double standards. The administrators of this forum did not spent endless time writing the forum rules so that hosted members and non-hosted members would be under separate rules. We are all under one rule--even moderators. You have been here long enough (as you said made 70 posts) to know the pinned rules set by administrators and, sometimes, moderators. The topic you decided to place in the forum section in question clearly states AND Your post was neither. The warning system is the FIRST line of defense before it gets out of hands. The LAST way to punish a member is to ban the member altogether. When a warning is issued or when a post is moved to the spam topic section, administrators will review and take away hosting credits. I do not believe that I have used the warning system in any malice way. In fact, I have used it exactly how it was intended. It got your attention. Moderators review member's warning levels and adjust it in due timely manner. When a member is found abiding under the forum rules the warning level will reflect accordingly. Thank you for your suggestion.

Next time you should specify which program you are referring to. I am assuming that you are talking about this site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and not TRAP 17? Folks, I know there's been some confusion but this topic deals with the actual FREEBNADPROJECT.com site. Please post your comments accordingly.

It looks like this topic is worthy of a debate. Instead of remaining this post in just a general talk section, I am moving this to the debate section.

Very Anxious What is blak dot on my request envelope?
BuffaloHelp replied to Joer's topic in Web Hosting Support
Topic answered and thread closed. Thank you, come again -
No, you are assuming too much. I am not a lawyer. I'm just a working class man as same as those who pickup my garbage every week. One does not have to be a lawyer to understand what the law is required of each individual to practice and observe the said agreement. When one claims that the law is not applicable due to fear of improper understanding of set of laws is preposterous. It's like stating that the law of gravity does not apply to one because one cannot fully comprehend the physics that is involved. Therefore, as a non-physicist, the law of gravity does not apply to one. LOL that's like Elmer Fudd walking on a thin air until Bugs Bunny showed him the Laws of Physics book and fell from the sky. You don't have to abide by the law if you wish not to recognize. That's why the police department is there to protect me from those who do not adhere by the law that was design to protect me and you from lawbreakers. They are there to protect me incase someone decides to harm me. The police department is there to enforce, prevent and protect. Do you need a law degree to figure out steeling what is not yours is bad? Do you need a law degree to figure out preventing a person driving in excess speed that may cause unforeseen accidents? The contract can be both written and in verbal. When a contract is established with a verbal agreement, it is factual and concrete as any written contracts. A verbal contract may not have a stronger favor of winning in the civil law sue, but never-the-less it is recognized. Because in the court of law, the judgment is for the party that can produce as many compelling evidence as possible to make a valid case. A citizen must also provide and defend the country that he/she sworn to serve. It works in symbiosis. The State has the responsibility to protect its residents. What do you think the Medicare and Medicate are? What about the welfare program, or how about the social security program? When you pay your dues (taxes) to the county and the State you work in small portions will be reserved to these programs. Although you are paying these dues to your State, it ultimately funneled up to the Federal Level. And the Federal will funnel it down to the State level. Those programs are not there to just help out people with lackluster ambitions they are designed to care for every resident in its jurisdiction. And since the United STATES (I use it strongly) is the governing country of sums of each individual states, your citizenship is not only recognized by each States but in the country as a whole. Who says you cannot sue your local police department? There are thousands of law suits brought to the justice each day. But because the majority of law suits are frivolous it is not relinquish to the public media. Each individual citizen is NOT bound to the governing of the State. I have no idea where you got that idea. Constitution is NOT the law. It is the embodiment of the FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES which the country is conducted and constructed. It is an idea that everyone back in 1787 has agreed to build the country around this principle idea. And who told you it wasn't signed? The Constitution of the United States was signed on September 17, 1787. Have you missed your class the day you were learning about The Constitution? And if you are going to ask, "well I didn't sign it" it is the obligation of people who are citizens of this country to uphold and defend The Constitution of the United States. When you do not want to recognize the Constitution that's fine with the country. But when you are receiving the protection of the country that is based on the set of agreements that's like saying, "I don't recognize my mother as MY mother because I did not choose to be born under her family." It's ridiculous, isn't it? I'm not sure what you are trying to prove here but have you given a thought to why it was a small turn out at the voting booth? By the way, if you are going to give a factual data I suggest you site your source. Last I checked it was more than what you claim. The entire population of the United States is not only main voters but, illegal aliens, non-citizens (legal aliens), teenagers, elderly who couldn't make it out that day, over sea service men and women, and people who decided not to vote. According to 2003 census age range that cannot vote is 28% Newer data is not available until 2007. Imagine the percentage that includes people ignoring to exercise the right to vote, incorrectly voting and aliens...it adds up. You are drifting off of your original topic. But I'll answer this one, too. It's great that you are making a statement by choosing not to vote. That is your prerogative as a citizen of this great country. And furthermore, you are still protected the same extent of this country's ability compare to those who actually voted. And do you believe everything that is shown on the television and public media? I'm surprised to find that you do since you are a skeptical of the meaning behind the meaning, i.e. "What is the State?" Have you considered a thought that maybe, just maybe, it needed a boost in the ratings? If you believe that when people do not vote the politicians cannot represent the people they were elected to represent in the first place, then how come you did not vote? Interesting...

I Have Less Credits That I Should Why its that so
BuffaloHelp replied to sader's topic in Web Hosting Support
Yes. Hosting credit number means the days you can have your free hosting active (allowed to be shown to others) without showing the suspended message. Yes, each day you do not make any post you will lose 1 credit (1 day).Let me make my situation as an example to clear things up. When I applied for hosting package #1, I had 32 hosting credits. Until NilsC approved my application that 32 hosting credits never diminished. As soon as NilsC approved my application and I continued with the process of activating my hosting, my total hosting credit reverted back to 4.00 credits. The next day it drop to 3.08 and I started to make additional posts to gain hosting credits. One of the reasons that you may not be able to access your cPanel or access your hosting via FTP is possibly that you do not have enough hosting credits. For example, you had 11 hosting credits when you activated a hosting account. As soon as you activated your hosting, you lost all your credits and in this case left with 1 credit. And your hosting just went into suspension because you did not have enough credits. Remember, as snlildude87 mentioned, your hosting will go suspended if you fall below 4 credits (sometimes). This topic has been discussed and explained at the pinned topic in Hosting Members Area. Please refer to that topic for further information. -
Awesome! I like it!I don't know, ever since the movie The Matrix I like the whole green monotoned feel with anything computer related. In fact, my dos command has black background with green letters. When I was with 2600, my terminal was exactly the same way. KuBi, I truly appreciate your gift. Every gift I received in fact.
