  1. I know a dude called Fergal. Does he own a business forum?EDIT: I know this guy. I'll send him a PM to see if he can help you out.
  2. I personally like sendspace better than most of these because the uploads and downloads are fast, and you can earn points for premium. The files are up for 30 days from the last download, so I redownload every 30 days to make sure all my links are active.
  3. Well RC2 was released to charter members a few days ago, so in less than a month we should see a release to the general public. Depending on the number of bugs (there's a whole new default theme) the release could be as early as January 2010, or much later if there are more bugs.
  4. .tk is almost as bad as .co.nr. The only thing that makes .tk better is it is a top level domain. It doesn't have DNS, but it's still top level.
  5. I agree. I'd actually rather see a site on a subdomain than a co.cc. But I'd rather see somebody on a co.cc than a co.nr or a uni.cc. co.cc to me makes it look like you are trying to hide the fact that you don't have a domain, and are using something as close to a top level domain as you can get. I used to do that, but I just got a domain (and later another). No search engines will rank you high with a .co.nr or .co.cc site, and I've seen very few sites that have a pagerank with these "domains".I have seen quite a few sites that are on free forum hosts or even Xisto or Xisto that are ranked high in google.
  6. Google is great when it comes to services online, such as Analytics, Webmaster Tools, Mail and Maps. But I don't think Google will be successful when it comes to operating systems, or even the Google Chrome browser.
  7. Those get indexed and placed as well. It doesn't matter how legal the site is, google will place it.
  8. Not bad for a first template. I can see that you wanted to make it a not so graphics heavy template. Next time I'd suggest using some more advanced graphics (Photoshop can make some great ones if you can get a good tutorial) especially for buttons. For a fast website, that template is great!
  9. mahesh2k, I'm not completely sure if I understand you, but as long as the domain has a folder in public_html, it will show up as a domain name to users and to you, rather than a subdomain name. Just add it as an addon domain, it will work
  10. You can have as many CMS' that will fit, as long as they don't use the same DB prefix.
  11. As long as you install it on the domain's directory, the CMS will be on the domain. When you make an addon domain it creates a directory in the public_html folder for your domain. (ex public_html/yoursite.com)I have 2 addon domains and both show the real domain, not the subdomain of Xisto.
  12. I was talking about meta keywords. Meta description is still quite important, as mine shows up right in my Google result. And for all you wondering, it doesn't matter very much if your site gets indexed in 3 hours or 3 days. It matters when they get shown in results.
  13. I thought that they check to make sure that their affiliate button is still there every once and a while. I know of a few places that got shut down because of that.
  14. What exactly do you mean when you say "beat Google"? And by the way, meta keywords are next to useless, CONTENT is what will get you higher in Google.
  15. The only videos that I upload that aren't mine (which are nearly all of my videos) are interviews, music videos or concert footage. Most of the time the people that record such things don't even have the copyright for it (the band owns any video of them live), so unless the band doesn't allow it, I can upload it.
  16. I completely agree with you. That's one of the things that frustrate me about public computers with Internet Explorer. The default search is Bing, so if I need a stock quote, math problems solved or even a density of something (who knows why), it won't give a result for that. If you type any of these into Google you'll get an answer right away.
  17. I do that a lot as well. Though a buunch of the bands I listen to haven't hit it big yet, so I'd have to order thier music online and have it shipped to me, I still like buying physical CDs. Over the years I've come across some rare and very rare CDs, which you can't really find online
  18. I just went back to Xisto and earned $2. Took a little time, but I had nothing else to do. It is like another whole community over there. It seems like they are more into SEO and marketing of websites, while I think that this forum is more about news and website design.
  19. Limewire has had a BitTorrent client for a while, but I never use it. Limewire takes up a bunch of space as well as memory, so it is hard to surf the web while downloading files or running a torrent.
  20. I can't agree more with that last post. Because if we were to call out the people that are non-white for saying those things, they would play the race card and we would be the racists. Funny how these things work.
  21. Upgrading isn't that expensive. You can upgrade to 5GB space and 50GB bandwidth for $1.98, which will make a month cost $4. It still isn't that much, and at your current posting rate, you'll be able to afford it.I'd doubt you'll need more than the logic plan for a while. I have a site that gets 80-100 unique visitors a day and about 4000 hits a day. I only use 500MB of space and 3GB of bandwidth per month.
  22. If you need more MyCENTs you can post at Xisto.com as well. A bit smaller than Xisto, buit you can earn there as well.
  23. The only problem is the few torrents that only exist on Demonoid. But the vast majority are on other sites as well.
  24. I still have my (now ancient) Walkman. iPods dominated the music market because it was a completely new way to listen to music and you don't have to worry about cassettes or CDs. You can walk around with the equlivelant of 1,000 CDs in your pocket. It helped to bring the MP3 to be popular, as MP3 is one of the few formats that can be played on an iPod.
  25. I like the newer Final Fantasy XII. While I like the older Final Fantasys as well, the new battle system and the 3D in it makes the game much more fun. I have almost managed to beat it, though I haven't played it in a while. A nice thing is since there is an auto attack system on it, you can auto level-thus I have 4 level 99 characters.I haven't tried VII, but I know there is much hype over that game and it sells for a lot of money. Has anybody here played it, and if you have, what is it like?
