I tried opening and viewing the page you recommended but I got a 404 error page. I kept on retrying but the same thing still kept on happening. I have BootVis for as long as I can think but I have never really bothered to use it before. Maybe I will give it a trial this time.

Making A Fuzzy Graphic with PS7 or higher
odomike replied to mzwebfreak's topic in General Discussion
Great tutorial man but i think that it would really lok much better if you backed it up with images of the different steps it takes to get the tut done. Thanks anyways for that nice tut. -
And one other thing more bro. try to be more elaborate on subsequent tuts. Assume your targeted audience doesnt know anything about your subject of tutorial. For someone who doesnt know how to use Adobe PS or ImageReady, you will be confusing the person the more 'cos he might not really know how to make a layer and all that stuff. I will be posting a tut on HOW TO OPTIMIZE YOUR COMPUTER'S PERFORMANCE so that you guys can really see what a tut should look like. I should have done it right away but I dont have the images I require for it. I will have to a lot of screen captures of several parts of my computer in other to make people believe what I am saying. Well, thanks for the tuts. I like the result of your animation.

1st if all, you didnt make an elaborate description of the nmethods by which someone can make bootable CDs. I have been making bootable CDs as long as I can remember and I have never had to go through the somewhat cumbersome processes and commands you listed above. You should try to make any tutorial you write to be as user friendly and easy for anyone who will want to use them. Always assume that your audience has 0% knowledge of the thing your are giving the tut on. Here is what I do..... 1. I have a list of all the programs that can make a bootable CD for Win 95 down to WinXP Pro and also for the Manddrake and RedHat Linux. 2. Simply launch the program and instruct it to either write the bootable CD image (.img format) to a specified folder in your HD and then you can consequently copy/move to an empty 1.44MB floppy or (to make the work much more easier for you, insert an empty 1.44MB floppy disk into your Floppy drive and instruct it to write into the floppy. Click on the write button for the image to be written. 3. Insert an empty CD into your CD R/RW (CD burner drive) or DVD R/RW drive and launch your burning software (I use Nero v6.0 Ultra Edition) and click on the bootable CD icon in the pre-launch window. Nero (Iam more conversant with that soft) automatically queries your floppy drive for the bootable image file and if found, displays the flopy drive as t he source drive for the image file, but if there is no image file in the flopy, you can manually type in the folder/directory in which you have the image file saved (this process is meant for Administrators and people who are very conversant with the bootable image creation. So, if you dont know what to do here, simply use the floppy disk). 4 The next thing you will have to do will be to click on new to make a new burning compilation from your HDD and after that, start the burning process. Note: Please do not remove the floppy containing the bootable image file from your floppy drive during the burning process. Your burner caches and creates the bootable image which it writes into the CD from the floppy (That is, if your bootable image is in the floppy). After that you are done, go ahead and burn. Your CD is 100% guaranteed to be bootable. If anyone is interested in getting the bootable image creators, please send an email to odomike@odowebdesigns.uni.cc or odomike@gmail.com. They are all freewares I downloaded from microsoft and therefore are not Warez. Enjoy!!

Wow.......thanks hulunes for that info. You know, this kinda thing has happened to my comp before and I thought that it has contacted a virus. After running my antivirus (I am using AVG Pro) a number of times and the thing asnt able to detect the problem, I has to copy all my important files and folders to another partition inmy harddrive and then format the the C:\ drive. It can be quite frustrating and irritating when something like this happens to you.

I just installed the Photoshop CS2 which I bought yesterday. Come to think of it that I wasx thinking that CS2 will be much more optimized for system performance and speed but I was very much mistaken about that. Ok, this was what happened while I was trying to save an image I created with CS2.1st of all, my computer config. is thus.....Intel Celeron processor (1.0 GHz overclocked to 1.35 GHz)256MB SDRAMUsing an EliteGroup Mainboard70 Gig (30 + 40) western digital HDDswhile I was trying to save, I found out that the system was almost freezing and I launched the task manager. I was damn surprised to find out that CS2 was utilizing more than half the whole of my RAM......165 (aprox). That was really frightening cos I never thought that only one program could utilize somuch of RAM at once.I was also playing music with Media Player. I dont think that was a problem cos I always do that with CS and I never had a problem at all.I am beginning to consider uninstalling the CS2 and replacing it again with CS cos it is really dealing a very heavy and nasty blow on my processor and RAM.Or maybe I will upgrade the RAM to 512MB or more.Still contemlating though.

if you aare interested in web designing at a very cheap and considerable price, please contact me by writing to odomike@gmail.com or odomike@odowebdesigns.uni.cc -
well, one thing i dnt like about your board is the large image (page banner) in the homepage. tryto reduce the size of that image and also work on improving thr quality of the graphics in your website too.And again, do something about the large image you placedin the middle of your homepage. i dont see anysense in placing such a large image in there. it wont do your bandwidth any good at all.either you optimize it or you reduce the image size. it took quite some time to load on my comp.

Poll Here:how Long Do You Use The Computer? How long?
odomike replied to lud@m@n's topic in General Discussion
U know, I am into web programing and more or less trying to get into programing as a whole and that surely takes a hell lot of time per day.You have to be glued to your computer per day to be able to make it as a programer and thats what I am trying to form the habit of doing. -
Well, if I am asked, I will say that you should go for nVIDIA. For now, I am using what I will call a rather old nVIDIA card (nVIDIA Riva M64/Model 64 Pro) with only 32MB of shared memory and I have never had a problem with it. It hasnt had any instability problems and I can assure you that it is doing fine. Only problem I am havng with it isthat it doesnt support hardware transform and lighting which most of the modern VGA cards do support. But anyways, you should go for nVIDIA. I prefer it for its stability.

Gfx Card Problems! It just uninstalled itself
odomike replied to Amezis's topic in Hardware Workshop
You know what? This exact thing has happened to me in the past and mine was so bad that it ended up corrupting my system.ini file. And that definitely led to the reinstallation of WIN XP PRO which I am using. I was lucky that a friend of mine gave me an option whereby I can reinstall WIN XP without having to format the HDDs and that helped me to get my files and documents back in one piece into another partition in my HDDs (have 2 HDDs) before I did a reformating of the HDDs. You know, that can be quite painful and I never knew that that it was a VGA card problem untill after the reformatting and windows then told me that I am having a VGA problem. I hadto change the VGA I was using. I was formally using nVIDIA RIVA TNT2 M64 PRO/Model 64 PRO and I also got another of the same VGA card which I had and installed in the system. Thats the one I am curently using and it is doing fine. I never bothered to check out th other one as I gave it out to a friend. -
I opened my email the other day and guess what I saw in there? A fruad mail requesting me to call someone in order to verify my authenticity about some lottery or something I have won. I know that I never entered for any such lottery but I was kinda really surprised at the mail. Below is the said mail. Now, what do you guys say to something like this? That someone will just wakr up some day and start thinking of how to dupe others of their hard earned money. They aint gonna get me. That I can assure them. Notice from serverph: added quote tags where needed.

My Website Isn't Online But i have 10 credits.
odomike replied to Lyon's topic in Web Hosting Support
Try to post more in order to have enough hosting credits to host your site.Apart from that, it seems that something is definitely wrong with this hosting credits thing cos there was a time when my website/account was suspended when I had more than 12 days of hosting credits. I had to send a PM to OpaQue and explained everything to him and he rectified the problem. I suggest that you talk to OpaQue. He should be able to do something about your problem. That is, if you are sure that you dont have any questionable content in your website and that you werent posting any spam. -
