Dude, I own you my life. Thanks. Also, I knew one could manage to configure boot options through there or through msconfig, but what I didn't knew is that you don't really need an OS somehow inserted in the disk to have the OS showing up in the boot options. And actually I never rly read what's inside that startup and recovery section, if I had given a little more attention to that, I'd repair it myself. I'm such a dumb.What gave me the problem was a mod version of windows called MicroXP (for instance, yes, I OWN an original version of XP, so what I did wasn't really piracy, was an alternative option for a MS customer) and that 'improved' XP has proven a total wreckage, and it failed (yes, failed) the first attempt to install windows, and I didn't notice I changed partitions the next try. So I thought: 'FORMATTING WILL KICK THE GODDAMNED GHOST OS AWAY'. Well, as you know, I was wrong. Thx to zeezRemove Sound From AviI know zeez's reply is from 2006 but is still so useful. I had a video that failed to record the audio properly and it had a quite large size, so wanted to make it smaller removing the sound and even with some video editors softwares it was always forcing me to export it with sound to keep the avi format, even when I deleted the audio track. But virtualdub did the trick, in few seconds it removed the audio and reduced its size to 1/10 with same quality. So, again, thx zeez and virtualdub creators. -reply by TFARG

i am a felonHiring Felonshi, as a convicted felon I have personal feelings on this subject. How long is long enough for the past to be the past? When I was 20 yrs old I was in a huge divorce and custody battle and was not allowed to see my daugter (which is the love of my life). Instead of doing the right thing, I did start drinking and getting into trouble. I was arrested for credit card fraud (did not steal it, but later found out the friend I was with had and since I used it too, I got in trouble). With no money to hire a good lawyer to fight, I ended up pleading guilty and accepted my punishment. I did my time and came back into society ready to live the right way. Now people can say what they want, but that conviction cost me more than you can imagine. Thanks to my own stupidity...My ex wife got to use that conviction to take my daughter and keep me from seeing her. I spent 5 years fighting just for the right to see my daughter at least 1 day a week without a hope. When she turned 6 I had to make a choice of what was the best for her and I allowed my ex's new husband to adopt her. Now at this point my record had kept me from gaining any type of decent job so I ended up in the construction field. I started my own company and spent the past 15 years running it. Since the housing market has crashed, I now find myself looking for employment. At one point about 10 years ago I did find a part time job at a convenience store to supplement my income. One night money came up missing. I was arrested for the crime...Although I hadn't even been in the store the night of the incident. I went to court and had my witnesses ready to testify, but since I had a felony record (which is why I was accused in the first place), I couldn't get a fair trial and instead of gambling on a 50/50 chance of a conviction, agreed to plea bargain it and let it go. Now I'm not happy I did it, but there aren't too many options for people with records. Now I'm back in the job market and it is almost impossible for me to find a job. I am 38 years old with great references (both personal and professional), and a clean record for the past 11 years. The felony was 18 years ago and the last thing on my record is the plea bargain I accepted. Now how long do I have to pay for past mistakes? I am an honest man. I don't steal, I work hard, I'm intelligent, and very loyal...But nobody is willing to take a risk on me due to my past. I have now finally met my daughter after 17 years and we have a great relationship, but how do I explain why I can't afford to take her to a movie or dinner because I can't find a job? she knows about my past and what I have done...And she is willing to accept me, but as a father and a human being...It is becoming extremely depressing to think that I may never be able to find a job. I am now relying on a small amount of money I get for babysitting. So before anyone tries to talk about this...Put yourself in the other persons shoes and ask what you would do. Yes I could go and start committing crimes to survive, but that isn't the person I am and will never be. Maybe if society would wake up and see that everyone makes mistakes and it's not what they have done but what they have learned from them that count, this world might actually be a better place. EVERY SINGLE PERSON HAS COMMITTED A CRIME IN ONE SHAPE OR FORM. SOME GET CAUGHT OTHERS DON'T. He liked to party and was not ready to grow up so we sold the house and I moved out on my own. Even though we were broke up we still would see eachother off and on. I want to use Game Maker for commercial games but version 7 seems to have high system demands and I get error messages like "Failed to initialize drawing surfaces" although I have installed DirectX. So not everybody may be able to play a game made with version 7.Thus I may settle for an older version like version 5 since I do not get those error messages with it. Emotionally I am DrainedReally Depressed Etc.I too have been going through some very hard times. I have always been a very giving person, but a person can only give for so long. My husband also left me after I lost my job. He said he wasn't happy anymore. He left me because I could no longer help him and his daughter financially anymore. While we were together for five years (married 1 1/2 Years), he didn't have a job for at least 1 1/2. I never abandoned him and I always told him I would always be there for him during these hard times because I would want him to be there for me. Well the coward left and moved out. I know it is for the best. He is an acoholic and a pot head. Doesn't care about having any responsbilities. He lost his medical license because of this. All he cares about his drinking, smoking, his kids and grand kids. Hang in there and pray. Hold on to that ray because it will lift you up. Jesus is with us and he will never abandon us.
