Norton 2009My experience with Norton 2009I've noticed the ccSvcHst.Exe processes occassionally spiking to 96% of the CPU for 20 to 30 minutes in mid afternoon. It makes my system unusable. Norton support simply sends me the same old "remove temp files, etc." advice and seems to ignore the fact that their process takes over the computer. There is no excuse for a product like Norton to ever completley take over the CPU. If it takes a while to scan something, have the decency to allow other processes to make progress as well. I've used Norton for years. I dropped McAfee back when our company was infected because McAfee missed a virus that Norton caught. Looks like paying for commercial software only gets you poor service that makes no real attempt to resolve your problem. I have just added linux (ubuntu) to my computer to try and get away from my super slow vista. I have the gnome desk top and want to switch to the kde. The kde is working mostly well, but I can not get my network manager to load up. I have loaded and reloaded all of the dependent programs, and the synaptic package manager as well as the add delete package manager in the kde show that it is intalled. I still can not get it to show up under the internet files or even to load from the file itself. I do not know a lot about computers, can someone please help me. After all it is your site, and you may bloody well do it the way you want it. If you have the "stuff" that people want, come hell may, they will lap it up. Eg. TWITTER. So go on, build your great website, because each one is unique, and with a purpose.
