SATA hell takes me back to the good ol' days of DOS 2.1 and DOS Hell. Every piece of hardware had to load a driver and IRQ conflicts were SOP. Installing SATA on a lmotherboard that has no SATA ports really sucks. Vendor and OEM support is non-existant and thanks to "pre-loaded OS's" there are no boot CDs if you buy from the biggies like HP, Dell, Acer, etc. In the end SATA is a case of Forward to the past. OK, having said all of that, what is a solution to XP not formating a SATA drive? My solution was to stick in my main system which has SATA ports galore and Vista Business. I formateda SATA drive that way then re-installed it and used Data Guard to copy files across. In a month or 2, I'll try and configure this 320GB drive as the system drive. Vista is being flogged off cheap at the moment so I may just upgrade the OS to cope with SATA. -reply by Yadnarie

Everything I purchased from the iconic Sony Walkman in the early eighties to my stereo equiptment and everything in between had to be Sony. I was like a walking PR firm for Sony. I really did believe the old saying, "Sony, the one and Only." I became very loyal to Sony over the years and that loyalty was destroyed when I started buying Sony computer products about 10 years ago. It took years to turn me from a huge Sony fan to one that will discourage consumers to buy Sony products for one reason and one reason only, poor quality. My first bad experience came in the year 2000 when I purchased a Sony Desk Top computer that lasted only one year. I had constant problems and since this was my first experience dealing with an inferior product made by Sony, I felt too many good years supporting this brand would not deter me from continuing to buy Sony Products. I continued to purchase Sony TV's as well as other products manufactored by Sony for I still believed in the company.Today, 9/9/09, I can safely say I will never purchase another Sony product again. Ask anyone that has purchased a Sony product in the past few years and I would guess to say, quality issues will be discussed, for I have yet to know anyone that has purchased a Sony product recently that did not have problems. Even the Sony Laptop batteries that were not recalled, are still the worst in the industry. One of the reasons people purchase a Laptop is so they can go places with their Laptop that they can't take their Desktop. The last Sony product I purchased and will be the last Sony product I will purchase in this lifetime, was the Laptop model number VGN-N320E. This Laptop has a battery that was not recalled, yet last only about an hour after a full charge. This makes it impossible to use the Laptop for more than 1 hour unless you are close to an electrical outlet. The Sony battery, VGP-BPS2A/S is the shortest battery life of any batter pack out there that has not been recalled. It's such a shame such a well respected, highly admired company of the past, could go down hill so quickly. I am not telling anyone to buy this product or that product, but I am saying, stay away from Sony if you want quality products that are reliable and will last. Sony went from being a status symbol in the seventies and eighties, much like a Mecedes Benz is today, to a brand that is as far from a status symbol as you can get.Brands like Samsung, the brand you purchased in the eighties when you couldn't afford Sony, has risen along with many other brands that were once considered inferior to Sony; are now brands Sony is chasing just to keep up with the quality of such brands. I believe that aliens exist. That's because the universe is vast and there are like millions-or even billions-of galaxies. The earth is but a single grain of sand in a vast desert, so to speak. Who knows if the other planets or stars in the milky way or/and in other galaxies has their own life forms. After reading this article, I noticed that many who posted their views mentioned that God gave us life to treasure and we should not waste it by any means-euthanasia or just plain suicide-and I agree, but God also gave us free will ( the power of making free choices that are unconstrained by external circumstances or by an agency such as fate or divine will, as defined by the online free dictionary). So that means that it is in our own free will whether to keep living or take our life. If one is suffering from an incurable disease and that it is causing him great pain, then it is only rightful and merciful if he is allowed to end his agony by means of euthanasia, but of course, only if he wanted to. alright I just powered up my xbox 360 with intercooler and it worked first buy a cooler then see if you still have the e 74 error then turn it off and unplug everything then hook up cooler then put everything back together but leave av cable or hdmi unpluged then if it works then plug hdmi or av in -reply by daniel

(another guy) he was always with me( we were in the same class ) it got to the point that my girl friends in my class got sick of him always being my partner for projects and sitting with us at lunch a.K.A [ we couldnt talk about anything cause he was listening ] once when we were getting into partners he came up 2 me and my other friend got fed up & yelled oh God will you get lost !? well he did,.. For about an hour. We knew each other so well I could tell when he was upset just by looking at his face or even if I wasnt looking at him hearing the tone of his voice. He knew me well too. I knew everything about him . He told me everything.I always helped him get in good with his girlfriend ( my best girl friend ) && he helped me when I was down. Like one time my best friend ( his girlfriend ) got in a fight w. Her other friends. When they were making up she left me to be with them because they didnt like me. So I was left alone, sitting by the wall. My best guy friend walked over from playing basketball & without a word sat down beside me. When we went inside and recaped what happened to our other friend he helped he get through the pain I felt from getting ditched. he was pratically glued to me the only time he wasnt was when I went to the bathroom, literally. but then my best friend dumped him. He was heartbroken & guess what had to pick up & put back together the peices of his broken heart ? ya thats right, me . Over the summer & next year we kinda grew apart, due to the fact that the next year we were put in seprate classes. But then near the end of the year he told me a 'big' secret. He still loved my best friend. Of coarse I wasnt aloud to tell anyone & I didnt. I was scammed tooDish Network - Scam Scam Scam! Do Not Trust Them!Replying to anwiiiI feel just as frustrated as you do. I signed up for the 19.99 deal good for one year. At the time they said I could have some movie channels for 1 cent for six months. My first bill came and it was 44.00. The second bill came and it was 19.99 plus tax. My third bill came and it was again 44.00. I called and was told the for six months it will be 19.99. They then said I would be paying the regular rate 39.99 at the end of six months. I said the deal was for 1 year. They said they were giving me some kind of discount which covered the whole year! I told them to cancel the movie channels. They also told me I will be charged for the DVR, which I never said I wanted. The answer was they could replace that box with another which I had to hook up myself and return the DVR in 10 days or I would be charged 400.00 for the equipment on the credit card number I had given them originally. Incidently when I signed up they said nothing would be charged to my credit card, I assumed it was to see if I had credit of any kind. This time I asked them what they used the credit card for. They said they would charge any equipment or contract charges on it. I now have to close that credit card account so they won't charge anything on it. They also told me about the phone line being connected or I will be charged 5.99 per month. I was never told anything about that in the beginning. Now, if that claim was true, the vast development in the field of medicine would have taken a different track. Nowadays, we hear about water cure as something that is new and worth thinking about. To me, since it has such a long history, and it failed, so far, to stand as a viable method of treatment, I wouldn't be impressed by it. That is one thing. Another thing is that it is not right to say that consuming that much of water is harmless. I know, for sure, that at least it is harmful for those with glaucoma. Other patients may also suffer.
