Pdf images and text show up huge on screen Did You Face Problem Opening Pdf With Firefox? I have a Tiger iBook (Mac OS X 10.4.11 Power PC G3). In the last couple days pdfs I download no longer show up as normal on the screen. The pdf page is huge, so huge that only a corner shows and when I scroll, the type (when I find it) is huge too. Preview doesn't kick in even though it's set as the default. I downloaded Adobe Reader 9 in the hope it would solve the problem, but no luck. I've tried using all browsers--Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Anyone else familiar with this problem? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks. Kerry M. -Kerry MacKenzie

Tried to install New Hard drive in Old lap top, but isnRunning Bios Setup On A Dell Inspiron 8000 LaptopI have a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop that is about 8yrs old, yikes; but it has hardly been used and has been in storage. It works fine right now but the hard drive is extremely low on memory as the original Hard Drive only has 20GB hard drive. I bought a new hard drive that is suppose to be compatible but when I remove the old hard drive and install the new one, press F1 for setup, it takes me to bios but then freezes up. I can't change anything. After about 5mins it just shuts down. I originally tried one from western digital, but didn't work and then I called dell and they told me not to exceed 100GB so I bought one from Seagate, still doesn't work. I replace the hard drive in my Dell Latitude with no problems. Is the comp just too old? Any advice would be great. This is the second time I have tried to replace the hard drive. I gave a systems scan and voila! it caught 7 viruses and 2 trojans out of the system. I wondered what Kaspersky was doing in the background then? It was doing nothing to catch the thieves. But as per price goes kaspersky is cheaper in our place than norton, so that what makes people opt more of kaspersky than norton. Many users of norton even complain that it loads the machine and puts burden on the RAM. Well I would tell them to use the new norton internet security 2009, if it suits, then buy it. It is costly than kaspersky but it is worth buying it. There is another aspect to analyze. Kaspersky gives opportunity to clean infected PC using boot cleaner CDs or DVDs. Norton does not allow to create emergency disks, but then again those emergency disks did havoc to my another laptop and erased all the system files causing me to reinstall windows. I was lucky since I had a back up of my datas. Plus the kaspersky 2010 has an update problem. It breaks the updates and then the product fails to update. This is not found with norton items. The kaspersky 2009 is a good one over 2010 version even if it uses traditional methods. Norton has no such problems. The new Norton product is really cool in every respect. APACHE not working in xampp in windows 7Xampp And Wampp Questions this is some weird problem I am facing. I am using windows 7 and I installed oracle 10g enterprise edition. Then I installed the xampp 1.72 ,but when I try to make the apache service start,it shows the apache service ON for 1 second and it again stops. But mySql is working fine and the service shows as 'STARTED' in the xampp control panel. and I cannot run the xampp using the localhost server in my browser(IE and Chrome). I can't afford to uninstall any of the two(oracle or xampp). All my ports for apache are free(port 80,81,443) when I check the 'port-check' option in the xampp control panel.
