The mayans never predicted deaths or any such matters as those they predicted sighting of planets and eclipses and so far they have been right about those predictions. I am not saying that the Mayans predicted the world will end on December 21, 2012 but this date actually does have some significane dealing with the solar system.

Good Music:Suggestions For Good Fight MusicI'd just like to point out a few things. Speed isn't a factor in giving adrenaline. And if it is; it's a rare case. Most common case is Rhythm. Listen to Meshuggah- Bleed at 1:40 (the actual song, not the video, the video is a good ten seconds off I think) it has a awesome rhythm that drives and has random up and down points. Korn has good rhythms in their music, they got rhythms which you could call Jungle like. ive seen people mention alot of songs which have an uncommon high point, where the majority of the song is absolute terrible; like Down with the Sickness. Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja is good despite the random low points in it. Transmigration Macabre (new version- on the root of all evil album)- Arch Enemy (has downpoints in it htough) Voodoo People (pendulum mix)- Prodigy; is pretty good its got a nice driving rhythm with a power feel instrumental. I'm not a big fan of their new stuff but old slipknot had a nice jump and kill about rhythm to their music although they too had down points in the music. The music doesn't have to be of a certain style to sound powerful, try for e.G. X gon give it to ya by DMX, its got a power and dominance feel, although it has thin texture so if this is used be sure to have a good input in the mix with the song and the sound from the filming aswell. If you're interested in making your own music all I can say is draw inspiration and don't stick to certain types of instruments. Because its not so much the instruments, its the composition. a good place to draw inspiration is film and games; try a game called The Darkness on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Can do more than you thinkGame MakerActually game maker can be used to do 3D games with low quality, kinda like the early Quake or Doom games; you don't have to use C++ or C# to do a good game, it's not about the way the game looks, its about the game play that is important. Of course doing more complicated things like 3D games in game maker requires learning to use GML (game maker language) its not hard to figure out, sure if your going to go that far to make a 3D game then you might as well use a more useful language though (personally I say C++.) A lot of the 2D games done in game maker are quick and easy to do as currently I am working on a RTS in GM and almost finished with it and only started with it about 2 weeks ago. Glad that a lot of people assume that a program to make games is so limited automatically without learning the full depth of how it works.

Do Not Trust Them!Alex, Yes, I have had much problems with Dish Network and who they contract through to install the boxes which is a company named Titan. I 1st signed up in October 2009. First of all, I spoke to the representative Justin, who guaranteed that the installation for 3 tv's were free. I advised that there was no connection in the 3rd room, but was told by Justin, it was still free installation. Then when the installation guy arrived, I find out that the 3rd television will be a $50.00 installation fee, due to not having a connection in the 3rd room. I thought I explained this already. Next, I was informed by Justin and his supervisor, Mike, that I will receive a $25.00 gift card each month for the next 20 months to be used for gas or groceries for signing up with Dish Network. This promotion was sponsored by Titan who they contract through to do the installations. When you contact Titan, a representative by the name of Charles (who is extremely rude) will tell you that you must send in $100.00 worth of receipts each month for either gas or groceries and once they receive the receipts, they will send you a $25.00 gift card for whatever you choose. This was not what I was told by both reps from Dish Network or Titan from the beginning nor was this printed on any advertisement (no fine print anywhere on my advertisement). So basically, I was lied to again. I have left several messages with Charles to have his supervisor(s) Jeff or Mike to call me and I still haven't had a return call. I've called on 3 different occasions within the last 10 days. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be filing with the Attorney General's Office. change the scroll look on a div, not the whole browser window. Css Scrollbars In Firefox?I think changing the browser controls is not user-friendly and not W3C standard as we all know by now. But what if I have a div embedded in my page, say a box that is 400 by 300 and I fill it with some content but the content needs to be scrollable, like this box I'm typing in. Alert! Dell Dimension failed to bootHardware Changes And Now Winxp Doesn't Boot!OK! As I turned on my computer, it frozed in the middle of rebooting, so I tried that 2 more times, same thing happened. Then... The next time, this message appeared... Alert! Previous attempts at booting this system have failed at Checkpoint [uSB 1]... So I turned it off then on, next message... Alertt! Everytime that I unplug it, the last Alert message appears. Just to let you know, as soon as I turn the computer back on, the computer makes no sound, it does not go through the cycle of powering up at all, the message just comes on right away. Hopefully someone has a solution to this problem. Remember since it doesn't power up, I cannot hit F2, F8 or F12. I cannot make it start-up from the CD mode. I was trying to overtake this hassle, but I think that my next step would be is to un-hook everything from the back and then remove the memory and then re-install it? American English Needs To Be PreservedNon-english Speakers In AmericaI was laid off from my job in October 2008 and haven?t been able to locate suitable employment in my area (Central Florida) because I do not know Spanish. Nearly every job posting I have found during my job search that I qualify for based on my skills require fluent bilingual Spanish/English speaking candidates. Out of frustration while job hunting, I did a Google search ?Where can I live in the USA where I don?t have to speak Spanish?? and came upon this topic of discussion. I was born in Florida (Yes, one of the few native Floridians), but have lived in many US states in my lifetime. I too, like most Americans, took 2 years of a foreign language, but I chose German for the fun of it. I never thought I?d have use for German, Spanish or any other language within my own country; only if traveling out of my country. Boy, was I ever wrong. I left my primarily English speaking country when I joined the Air Force and lived in Japan and Guam for nearly 8 years (1991-1999). While living abroad, I learned enough Japanese to be pleasant, order meals or ask questions I needed to get around Japan, but even in Japan, the Japanese I met loved the opportunity to practice their conversational English with me so I was always able to communicate very well in Japan. I was a guest in their country so I abided by their customs. In Guam, since it was a US territory, I spoke only English. There were Chamarro (similar to Spanish) speaking locals, but they all also spoke English as well. I did learn a few phrases. When I returned to the US in 1999 (my home state of Florida), I was shocked to see so many people speaking Spanish; it was as if I came home to a foreign country. It made me wonder which country I had served all my years of military service. Even then, I had trouble finding work because of employers starting to require bilingual Spanish/English employees, but I was still able to find adequate employment through a temporary agency without too much trouble in 1999. I had Spanish/English speaking friends and even a Puerto Rican boyfriend for about 6 years, but none of them ever pushed me to learn Spanish. I learned a few phrases, but that?s about it. They all felt that if you live in America, you speak English. However, not all Spanish speaking people believe this. 10 years have passed, and now it is getting nearly impossible to find a job in Central or South Florida without knowing Spanish; even through a temporary agency. I?m still looking for work in the Central Florida area, but have moved in with my boyfriend who lives in Iceland because I have lost everything I owned in Florida. Yep, I chose to live in yet another country. Icelandic is the primary homeland language spoken in Iceland, but they also require all their citizens to learn English and Danish. I?m starting to pick up some Icelandic, but because I know English, I?m able to communicate with Icelandic and other foreign visitors to Iceland. I find it strange that English is accepted in nearly every other country as a ?universal? communication language, but it is being forced out of America by Spanish speaking people. I have met people from all over the world that have been very offended when they come to America, especially Florida, try to communicate in English and are responded to in Spanish. They expect Americans to speak English. Then you have other foreign immigrants to the US that are offended because they put an effort in to learn English and are seeing special concessions given to the Spanish language? even Creole and French languages. Is their native language any less important? No, it?s not, but it is ridiculous to expect Americans to learn every language on the planet to compensate for all the immigrants that come to America each year. Where our fore fathers went wrong was to expect that the American English language would never be threatened and therefore not declaring an official language for the USA. However, it is very apparent which language is the official language in the USA? it is the language that our Constitution and Bill of Rights are written in? it?s the language that our local, state and federal governments conduct business within the USA? it?s the language that we educate our children in before all other languages? American English. American English needs to be preserved; however, I welcome the opportunities to learn other languages? at my own discretion, not by force of a minority who believes itself to be ?better? than other minorities within America. -reply by OustedNativeFloridian

If Microsoft blocks the key of genuine OS due to many installations on the same notebook, it is rediculousas well as illegal. Who has given this right to them? Atleast they should use their common sense that the person who is spending a big amount for Genuine OS ( Despite they can use their OS without Genuine version using many ways ) will not be calling them and spending more for which he is actually irresponsible. As we know there are many reasons for which a person has to install/format the same notebook for more than once or twice. I think a strong competitor is needed against Microsoft's XP so that they may stop making fool to their customers.

Seagate SATA drives - dead all too soon.. Help For My Seagate Sata Hard Drive!I have my 2nd Seagate 500 GB SATA drive failure in less than 6 months... Guess its time to start buying only Western Digital! If anybody has worked on these, how hard is it to just replace the controller card (other than the tiny-star headed screws??? Good Or BadA Debate On Animal TestingI am for animal testing in the medical industry. The law says that all products made by the biotech. Companies have to test on animals before the product can ever be released to market. Many life saving products have been developed and released to the public because of animal testing. The medicine you take every day was first tested on animals to ensure product safety. Things that keep you alive and many other people. But the other thing is people that take the pets to the vet. Need to understand that vets learn how to take care of animals and what medicine to use because of animal testing. However I am strongly against animal testing in the cosmetic industry. That is something that is not necessary and should be outlawed there are many products out there that have no chemicals in them like that mineral makeup that works fine and is not tested on animals because it is just dirt. There is many alternatives but scientist still have to test on animals because of the law.

You may have to take the drive aut and get its Model number. Do a little research and find a newest firmware. You will need to flash the drive with a new firmware. It may or may not require you to use a flash drive or a floppy. I ran to a few of these issues with drives disappearing, sometimes but not always the firmware version on the drive needs to up to date. I've re installed windows and the drives temporarily worked, if it is to hard to find a new firmware it might be easier to but a new drive. Firmware can be found on the manufactures website such as Samsung, Toshiba Seagate etc. It can also be available on your computers manufacture's website such as HP, Toshiba, Dell etc, when searching for your laptop model drivers. If you are running Vista it may be hard to find updates that are compatible so also check to see if they are available in XP. Hope you find a solution! Luby
