The "use hardware default" setting means u have no display driver for your video card installed. You need to install a driver for it. When you're on the tab that you're seeing "use hardware default", towards the top it will show you what your video card is (usually something like "Intel GMA...", nVidia GeForce..." or ATi Radeon ...". Something similar to that. You should go to the manufacturer's web site to download the latest driver for that card. Perform a search from their main page and type "[whatever it says your video card is] driver". You should see a list of drivers come up. Download and install the driver. Your screen will probably flicker a few times, may take a few minutes, and you may have to restart your computer. After a restart you should be able to change your refresh rate, plus you should have more options to adjust your display settings, and you will have better graphics performance.

ThatPokemon Heart Gold And Soul Silver (remakes) Confirmed!It would be awesome if they did that. So far, the basic formula for the games has been to take the previous one, add a hundred or so new Pokemon, change the name of Team Rocket, and rename the map. It's practically the same exact thing over and over but with different cut-and-paste elements. Nintendo needs to take Pokemon in a new direction, with real-time fighting or a less watery storyline (which are so transparent that you don't even need to pay attention to what you're doing to complete the game...). I loved that Pikachu followed you around in Yellow, so it'll be awesome to see that again. And the nw Pokewalker thingy should be real neat, depending on how fast the experience comes... (if it's like ten real-world steps for a point or something dumb like that it won't really be worth it...). I was looking @ my bank statement today (1/8/2010) and noticed a 10.00 charge from Reservation rewards? I called and they told me that my husband signed up for this after buying movie tickets back in June of (2007)***. So needless to say I'm mad. Since 6/2007 until now they have got $310.00 from me and I never noticed until it finally caught up with me cause my check book was off and I nsf on a few card purchases. Ooopppsss. We have never even used the account and my husband would never sign up for something that comes directly out of the bank acct. I called the company and they told me that he hand to enter his email in 2xs to confirm the transaction(***) yeah the transaction to buy the tickets not some other bs that I will never use. The lady on the phone told me that she would issue 6 refunds and taht is all she was auth to do. WHATEVER. I told her I wanted all $ back so she is sending me some "special" refund form via email to see if I can get all $ back. Thats another thing my husband or I have never rec emails from this company even advertising whatever it is that the do. FRAUD IS WHAT THEY DO! AMANDA

But it seems it didn't do a good job at preventing viruses like Malware Defense from getting into my computer. I lost my Internet connection as a result. After removing the the viruses using MalwareBytes, I was able to connect to the Internet again. But when I reinstalled Norton Internet Security, I lost my Internet connection again. After being put on the "queue" for at least an hour I was finally able to talk to a Norton support engineer/technician. He asked me to uninstall the Internet Security to let him get to my computer remotely through the Internet. He worked for sometime on my computer and then reinstalled Internet Security. Sure enough, the Internet connection was lost again. Then he transferred me to another engineer/technician for removing viruses. This time she didn't even bother to remotely connect to my computer. She just asked me to pay a premium sum of money to solve the problem. With that much money I could have bought a brand new computer! I trusted Norton before but not any more.

Games where the internet is compulary are pushing people away from PC games to the fools gold of consoles which is sad to see.I live in the sticks away from any towns and can't even get internet at home, yet I have a beast of a PC which as a result won't play steam games.It's too late now but when steam started we all should've boycotted it, unfortunately people were too desperate to play and have left those without broadband out on the street.
