Back like 13 or so years ago I used to play this game on the nes, I'm pretty sure the nes, and you were this guy with a sword I believe, it was a side scroller, and I remember that there were different levels in the beginning, and you would get to the end of them and kill like a dragon, or a rock golem guy, and after you killed them, you could transform into each of them for the rest of the game, the dragon was a little blue one, I remember hardly anything I just want to find this game again. Once they're done trying to recreate all the past great movies, since they can't find anything within their own heads- they're now moving onto great books. Face it, Cirque Du Freak really sucked- they took books 1-7 and literally squished them into one crappy movie with all the marrow sucked out.I mean, come on, who wants to listen to a guy in monotone talking when he's about to get a very close haircut with an ax? That's exactly how it is in that movie- he had not emotion or energy and it sucked. Also, they let the main point of the book elude them- His friend was supposed to be a secret- it was supposed to climax the whole movie, but it became a SLUG on SET. It was terrible, and they've thrown out all the good material. What was Darren Shan's Author THINKING handing over his books to be RAPED like that?!

TwilightBooks Into MoviesYes, I'll admit that the series was good. Some parts... Like the end- iffy, but anyhow...The movies really upset me. You have more freedom when writing a book, though, so I wasn't expecting too too much, but enough. I didn't even get enough. I mean, come ON! She was bitten on the hand, not the wrist, jeez! And also, The guy that plays Edward is not even the right TYPE OF GUY- and he doesn't even mesh with the character. I mean, Edward is supposed to be an "outside time" kind of guy with a flowing walk, not a jaunt and more subtle features. Also, his body type in the movie was all wrong- he was just too big and bulked to fit in with the book Edward- his wording and facial features just not sitting right. Let's face it, major parts weren't even put into the movie, and on of the main characters just didn't fit. This was not even close to being as good a reproduction as Harry Potter, because at least they got the right person to PLAY THE PART. And it was amazing, the first Harry Potter Movie- The first Twilight movie? Let's just say, I had some female teachers and counsilors as well as friends that felt the same way, we would rant about this for HOURS.I think if they put more effort into finding people that match the people written in the book and really forming the diamonds of the story rather than using just "seasoned" actors and actresses and caring more for the story than the boxoffice- they'd get a real seller that people for decades and centuries can still look back on with wonderment. I'm talking about those movies that we no longer see anymore... And era swallowed by the once X-rated movies that are now PG-13 and the simple eloquence reduced to barbaric gutteral references.What has happened to the real stars of the sets? What's happened to the truly infamous movies holding their own rather than relying on an "already" popularity as a crutch for its debut? We've lost something- something irreplacable, and we need it back. "People have to get used to vim" WHY??? Because you like it? Because "real programmers" use it? Because (insert dumb excuse here)... I've used editors including vi, edlin and even CP/M ed. You know what? They are dinosaurs. If you like them fine. Give me a GUI any day. That is the biggest problem with Linux. The people that really love it think that everyone should spend hours/weeks/years learning text based syntax because that is what they like to do. Reminds me of the story of the mother who would not buy more than one pair of shoes for her kids because she only had one. vi is great. It is really powerful and does anything you can think of. It also has a large learning curve. Notepad++ is also great. Not quite as powerful but it will do almost as much as vi. It takes less than 1/2 a second to learn and not much more to master. Enough soapboxing... Notepad++ "uses pure Win32 API ". It is based on the open source Scintilla. SciTE is a cross platform app also based on Scintilla. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Wireless quirk with scanningHp Officejet 6500 Wireless Printer ReviewThis is an excellent review of this product. I am a huge all-in-one fan, and this is the second I've purchased--my previous one still works great (but is not Vista compatible). I've been very happy with my 6500--love the wireless printing, but encountered a problem I've had to work around. I can't quite get it to scan wirelessly, then send info to my laptop, even though I do fine sending info from the laptop to the computer. Twice I had to end up plugging in the USB for the scanning job, but both times it forgot how to print wirelessly immediately afterward. It even forgot the USB--recognizing the printer USB plug as a "USB storage device". Weird. All printer settings including ISP addresses, permissions to share printing, etc. Are still there--it simply won't print. I had to uninstall the printer software, then reinstall it again to resume printer functions. It doesn't take long to do tha,t but is a nuisance considering that once a week I want to do a ton of scanning. Have you encountered this problem, and if so, what did you do to get around it?
