questionDVD-Rom Doesn't Read DVDsI have a dell inspiron 1545 pentium daul core dvd+-RW AD-7640A ATA Device that ejcects every disk I insert or when it does read(rarely) itsee the disks as blank then ejects and ask to insert disk. Rebel CameraAnyone Use A Canon Rebel?I hve recently purchased a canon eos rebel t1i. This dslr camera is Awsome in my opinion. It has 15mp. A 3" lcd screen and can shoot video in 720 or 1080p HD. It has alot of modes to select from such as auto, portait, macro, scenery, action, shutter priority, Full Manual etc. It has pro feature for less than a pro price. this camera cost me $800.00 with one lens included. 18-55mm 4-5.6 I strongly recommend this camera. To me it is comparable to the canon 40d. The only differences are the size of the camera body, amount of Mpxls, and the D40 has a dial on the back instead of arrow buttons, and finally the D40 has a small lcd screen on top that shows ths camera info. Setting up an auto-update webpage for security IP-camImage RefreshHi all! I have bought an IP camera to use as a remote security camera e.G. To check on our home when we are away on holidays. To reduce the bandwidth usage, I intend to not have live video, but to use still frames (I.E. Photos every X seconds). The aim is to make it possible to log onto the website from anywhere to see what's happening in semi-real time (I.E. The automatically updated photos). I have managed to get the camera to automatically take photos every X seconds and upload them as JPG files via FTP to my own website, BUT ... How can I get the webpage to automatically show the most recently uploaded image (they all have unique file names when does include a date/time stamp embeded in the middle of a string such as ###100129212745_379.Jpg where ### is short for a long string which is apparently static, the yellow part is the date, the green part is the time, and the blue part is a sequence number starting from zero. I cannot see how to change the format of the numbering scheme. And how do I get it to automatically delete the old image files, e.G. After so many images, or Mbytes, or days? AiM-Hacked - its happend to me as wellAim HackingHell no the cops don't even care I have this stalker guy hacking into my aim and myspace...He hacked into my aim and I never even gave him the screen name...I went to sign on and it wasnt going thru then he imed me from one of MY other sn's and gave me the password to the other aim & I NEVER give out my passwords to anyone not even my mother or anyone...I don't trust anyone...I was soo shocked I went to the cops bcuz he was threatenin me and all they said was they cant "prove" it was him bcuz it was through a computer..He can easily lie & say it was like his brother or something...I found out who it was & I have all his info ( address-number-1st and last name ) but yet the Cops did nothing for the situation - the only thing we can do to not get hacked is to not use aim anymore lol.. -reply by Sassy

I've a good friend of mine who made a terrible mistake. During a long and very nasty divorce, he one evening visiting a porn site that offered free downloads of images. He (stupidly) did this without checking the contents of the 3000+ images. His wife, however, did look. In amongst these 3000+ images were about 30 images of what individuals of "questionable age." Not children, but probably young teenage girls. His wife called the police and the FBI and reported him. They grabbed his laptop and a couple of hours came and arrested him at work. He's now facing possibly a life sentence (10 years for each image, so up to 300+ years total.) The the, who is apparently wanting to make a name for himself, refuses to do a pretrial meeting with my friend's lawyer, and insists that he's going to go for the maximum punishment possible. My friend is a good man, and actually very religious (the porn thing was in a low, weak moment.) He would absolutely never touch anyone that was under age. We don't have a trial date yet (thanks to the the) and it won't be with a jury- just a judge (and it's an election year- talk about every bad break you can get.) But I'm concerned about if he doesn't get life- say 5 years- what is he going to do when he gets out? He's lost everything- all his retirement has gone to pay his lawyer. No job, no future, nothing. And being a sex offender, every door will be slammed in his face, even though all he is really guilty of is a "failure to sort and delete." Before this incident, I used to look on sex offenders probably like everyone one else does- I didn't want one near me or my family. Now I'm seeing things from a whole different perspective in regards to felons.
