I discovered that I hate Steam the very first time I was ever forced to use it. I bought Dawn of War II and, despite having a DVD with the game data on it, I was forced to download the entire product from Steam. Wait, what? Then why did I just go and buy a physical product for the game? But yes, I had no choice but to download it from Steam...the DVD was irrelevant. Oh, and that's when it entered me into a download queue that had a projected 27 hour wait time. WHAT? Then after numerous reboots I finally managed to get Steam to start downloading the game (again, why did I buy a physical DVD if i'm not going to use it?). So a few days later the internet goes down so that the ISP can do work in the area...but...oh...now I can't play Dawn of War II, because I'm not connected to the internet. Are you kidding me? I can't play a friggin' product that I bought with my money and installed on my computer because I'm not online feeding all my usage data to Steam? And no, "Offline Mode" didn't work. Steam, Valve and the M$ machine can go to Hell. Steam is the worst thing to come about in years. There is officially no more privacy or actual ownership of the product you get. You're basically just paying a usage fee for a product you can only use a few times.

Fixed my DLINK issue with a comcast modemProblems With ComcastI was banging my head for 2 days with about 35 different configurations and finally tried the following and it worked just fine. Also, tried connecting 3 computers and they all connected with “NO” issues. Even connected wireless with “NO” issues. Now I am at 20mb download speed…J compared to AT&T 1.5mb download speed. This is my DLINK model -> (DIR-601 Wireless and 150 Home Router Wireless router) 1. Reset your Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem by unplugging it for 5 minutes. 2. Then reset your DLINK Router to the manufactures default settings. Then Unplug DLINK Router for 1 minute then plug it back in (Just plug your cat5 cable into port 1 and connect it to your computer) there should not be anything else plugged into the DLINK Router at the time you make the changes. Just 1 computer can be connected. 3. Went into the DLINK configuration 192.168.0.1 and changed the PPPOE setting that I was using for my AT&T Modem to Dynamic IP (DHCP). Once you make the changes save them and then unplug your DLINK Router it’s off. 4. Turn on Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem and wait until all lights are on. Now plug in a cat5 cable from the Surfboard Comcast modem (NOT A CROSSOVER CABLE LIKE THE CD INDICATES) to the INTERNET port of your DLINK Router. Now turn on your DLINK router. 5. lan software not working on hamachiHamachi - Your Next Best Friend hey people, I m using hamachi to connect my pcs. I have a paid software which is based on dot net and runs though internet explorer. On my pc in which it is installed it runs as local host. When I tried to open it on other pc through hamachi its welcome screen opens. But it does not work further. It says "your software is not registered for this type of network". I could not understand the problem because this software is running through lan and wifi. It problems only through hamachi. Win 7 Media Center - Delete video file causes video list to jump way backWindows 7 Media Center IssuesI've just started using Window 7 and media center (was using XP) and found a few weird issues. I often download tv shows and then watch them via MC. When I delete a show I have watched, I'm returned to the listing of videos but MC shoots me back to the beginning of this list. This really sucks when I had to advance over 4 or 5 times to get to my show. Is this by design or can it be hacked or what? I got this working on Ubuntu 10.04 with a Sprint BlackBerry 8330m. The only things I had to change were: Chatscript: use the sprint-blackberry chatscript here: http://forums.crackberry.com/general-blackberry-discussion-f2/sprint-curve-bluetooth-modem-ubuntu-8-04-a-147514/ The package bluez-pin no longer exists and is not needed. The command /etc/init.D/bluez-utils restart is now /etc/init.D/bluetooth restart. I had to manually create rfcomm0 and manually bind the device to it (now sure why rfcomm.Conf wasn't doing that -- probably something I messed up). To manually create the device I did sudo cd /dev && mknod rfcomm0 c 216 (found here), and to bind it, sudo rfcomm bind <MAC ADDRESS> <CHANNEL>. I ended up adding that last command to rc.Local so it would just bind every time I login. Firefox has an annoying bug that causes it to go into offline mode when PPP is used. The fix for that is to set toolkit.Networkmanager.Disable to true in FF's about:config. Thanks again! So nice to have Bluetooth connectivity with my Ubuntu laptop. I can't even do that in Windows -- the Sprint software requires a USB cable! So nice to have a good OS and some smart people on the internet. Cheers, Jeremy

If you look at Heisenberg's uncertainty principle,you notice that not only can electrons exist at more than one location at a time,but it's actually necessary. So the sub-atomic particles(a soul) if you will,would be able to transcend the earthly concepts like physics,which is where quantum physics comes into play. So as electrons would we not be able to exist after a shedding of our physical being? It seems logical too me,that our actions impact the sub-atomic particles,thus making them our own. Since the sub-atomic isn't bounded by earthly physics,our "soul" would be able to exist by "itself" without a physical manifestation.
