If it is 0 degrees Celsius one day and double the temperature the next, simply convert the number of Celsius to kelvins to get the temperature of 273.15 K, then multiply that by two which would give you 546.3 K. Subtracting 273.15 from that would give you the answer of 273.2 degrees Celsius. So therefore the double temperature would be 273.2 degrees Celsius. To find how cold it would be simply divide by two instead of multiplying following the same rules.

Unfortunately, removing rape scenes from mainstream media will only have a detrimental effect overall. True, rape has been around forever, and true, we all know it happens. However, what we young people do not realize is that it is only in the last 40 or 50 years that society has widely acknowledged the occurrence of rape and been willing to confront the issue openly. Historically, rape was something women dealt with secretly (and with much personal shame). It was a subject that was simply not discussed. Rapists went largely unpunished. I shudder to think of all the helpless young women who were "encouraged" to marry their rapists because of the resulting pregnancies. We would rather have our women suffer with repressed memories and post-traumatic stress disorders than confront the dirty evils right before us. It is no coincidence that our willingness to confront this issue correlates with the appearance of rape in media. It brings it to our attention and makes us more comfortable talking about it. We routinely label TV shows as "entertainment." Granted, most of TV is designed to entertain, but on the periphery, TV also functions as art--art that peels back the veil and lends us a glimpse at our own ills and perversions. Removing rape from the media will only serve to push the subject back underground where it has festered and consumed for thousands of years. I have the utmost sympathy for rape victims and I completely understand not wanting to see something like that depicted on the screen. However, to make the case that rape should be banned from media, you have to make the case that those depictions harm society as a whole--not just a small segment of it. I would argue that, overall, it actually benefits us because of everything I just mentioned above. If you don't believe me, we need only look at a contrasting society--a society where you would never witness a rape scene on TV or in a movie. I'm thinking of places like Taliban controlled Afghanistan where rape victims are routinely murdered so as to maintain family "honor." That is the sort of society you get when discussions of rape are not permissible. For better or worse, the media defines the subjects our society is willing to discuss. You cannot separate our modern-day, progressive, "don't blame the victim"-attitude towards rape from the media depictions of these terrible crimes. One final point: If you look up discussion forums of people whose families or friends have been murdered, you will find them saying the same things about murder depictions on TV and in movies--how they should be banned and removed because it is too much for them to watch. The same goes for people who have had cancer or lost someone to the disease. My sister lost her best friend to cancer. She simply refuses to watch anything cancer-related. People who have almost drowned cannot sit through an episode of Baywatch. The point being, there is no end to the list of possible traumas people suffer in life and virtually every depiction in media parallels someone's trauma. Rape is certainly one of the worst, but I do not see how media restrictions could be justified here unless we are willing to cater to everyone. If we did, there simply would not be anything we could put on TV. I hate to sound so callous, but people who would be offended or traumatized by a particular show or movie should not watch that movie. It really is that simple.

Con,COM, etc.Can You Create A Folder Name "con"The reason these filenames are reserved is because devices are just special files, and are treated as such. This is true in EVERY OS. However, in *nix based OS's these special files have a special path called /dev which then allows other folders, etc with the same name as long as they don't exist in the /dev path. Windows problem is that the devices are just "GLOBAL" handles that don't require a path to access them, hence the seemingly more restrictive filenaming conventions. And as others point out, you can get around this with UNC naming conventions. Which is to state, you are pointing out the "FULL" path to the file when accessing it, as opposed to using a GLOBAL namespace filename. -reply by WangDeFu

This is just sad other than the few who actually use BOTH software appliances, you really can't have an opinion. iGuest gave the best response. I personally have access to both and with out a doubt Corel Draw is Better for ANYTHING with layouts, page construction and vectors. Photopaint (PP)can do everything Photoshop (PS)can simpler and easier. Just not as good. For a simple example take the masks, PP has an actual button that allows you to select and objects boundaries and copy to another layer ... one button. PS has an intricate weaving of drop down menus you have to navigate, in addition you have to convert objects to manipulate where as PP you work directly on the layer. What PS does well is the feathering and gradients ... its a lot smoother and exports wonderfully, not so much with PP. In the end I prefer to stick with Corel as its cheaper, and you are limited by your capacity to learn a new interface, which is a lot more intuitive if you were not trained to do 10 steps for a simple effect or a first time user... the button menus just make sense. Everything in PS requires you to study a tutorial first, unlike PP and Corel Draw where you see a button for drop shadow and boom instant shadow ... with handles on the graphic for depth, angle, perspective and feather.If you have never used Corel ... try it ... A LOT of the simple work can be done FASTER and SIMPLER. Until you actually do ... please dont just comment for commenting sake!!

ac adapter turning hotHelp, My Laptop Charger Is Not Working ProperlyI repaired a hp pavillion Laptop by following the guidelines in you tube. First it wont start for long cause it will turn off automatically.I dismantle the laptop and solder the terminals of the DC in. Then it starts normally. My problem is when the laptop had turn on for an hour, the adapter is too hot. My suspect is maybe the cpu fan I will clean it tomorrow. Another is maybe if the battery is fully charge the current will go back to adapter. I will try tomorow to turn on without battery. If it is still hot (the adapter) then maybe its normal. I am a Petroleum Engineer on a training mission. I am deputed in Our Company's HR training Division for training freshly recruited gradutes for oil field training that includes active class room sessions and intimate on-the-job field training under my direct supervision. I shopped around but found some ready made modules which are off the subjects and very expensive and they need an exorbitant licensing fee for each trainee that uses it. Makeing a MMO3d Mmorpg Maker Softwere?!OK, lets start here, You don't need a huge team to make a MMO, While it does help it's not required. The first thing you need to when makeing a MMO is know what kinda game it's going to be and what story. Have that done before you go any further. After that it's time to assemble a small team or large if you have the assests. As for game engines go Realm Crafter is a easy one to get you start and get your concept layed down but being a RC own you'll find that RCS (RealmCrafter Standard) Won't get you all to far in the MMO creation. If you chose RC I would go with the pro but you must know or have someone on your team to program if you really want to make a MMO, Theres not much you can do to get around that other then paying someone else to do it. RCS would be a good choice for all you younger people wanting to make a MMO, mainly dew to cost/ease of use. It don't take much to get a RCS project going and the scripting is pretty easy so it's a good intro to programming. Also you can purchase the source for RCS to mod you client to your needs. Have to buy Blitz3d to get source as well. But thats something that can come when you game is at a more serious point.So you might not have a engine picked out as of yet so you feel you can't get started. That is a lie, you can get started with the story, writing quests, planning NPC's, Concept Art, 3d models, Class Planning, Race Planning. Pretty much lots of planing some you can get started on your 3d art.. Not to Nah say you all but most indie MMO's do fail, Take the time with yours, Take the steps to create it right cause if you just dive into a MMO engine and are like there. I made a mmo.. It's going to most likey ****. About the cost of the engines. Well RC seems to be the cheapist. Replying to (G)(Hell, at least WoW players are regularly interacting with real people, which is much better than spending hours playing a single player game) -G-Theres a major difference though humans can't always be interacting with one another there are lots of times we want to do hobbys, activites and so on on our own. Playing a single player game falls into this category and doesn't fill the social factor. Playing a mmo such as wow quite often does instead of having a social life or socialising the game replacing this part of living and none of that takes into account that mmo's are designed to be played longer then single player games. Single player games can be completed in small time frames and played for small intervals, Where mmo's like wow have near infinite time frames for completion and are difficult to play for small ammounts of time based on design length of in game mechanics. I myself have played wow and unlike some people was never under the illusion of it being a social area of my life I played it as much like a single player game as possible. Always aware that reading text from some guy half way around the world with every word having nothing but capitals and every second world TROLL or QQ is not socialising only my conversations with individuals I knew in real life could be considered at all social and after I had got bored with the stimulai the game provided I quit.I read this thread to see if there was any interesting posts why wow will never end I find yours which looks promising then per ussual you put all this negitive emotion in it towards other peoples posts who feel that wow will end. Next time avoid showing you take it personally that other people have opinions about a topic or least you seam to be nothing but a wow fanboy.

Roblox itself is a great concept, a player built world with almost limitless potential. However, there have been a few updates that the robloxians have not liked at all. Now if you just joined you wouldn't know the difference between old Roblox and new Roblox, since you've never seen what it looked like before. Some updates, like the gear and (much needed) graphics update were awesome and made the game a lot more fun. However, since then it has gone downhill. I took a year and a half or so break from Roblox and decided to get back in at the beginning of 2011. A lot of things had changed since I had left. The first thing I noticed was Builder's Club only places which I thought defied the basic purpose of the game (a free world for users to explore and play. You have to pay for Builder's Club.)Next I noticed how few things cost Tix and how many more cost Robux (Tix you earn as a free user, Robux you earn as a Builder's Club user.)This did annoy me because I had over 3000 tix and there was literally 15 hats out of hundreds of other that cost tix, the rest were robux. Something I just learned now is that there are different levels of Builder's Club. Really, guys... Many people have left because of this, if you want proof of the amount of complaints, go to Shedletsky's Channel on YouTube. That's Telamon in Roblox he's one of the admins. Be sure to go through a few pages and be warned some contain language unsuitable for children. However, I am not leaving, in fact I'm thinking of coming back. I miss the days where I bloxxed (word for killed in Roblox) 20 people without dying. If you are going to join, keep in mind that Roblox is starting to favor Builder's Club over normal free users. I have a 10.1" Acer Emachine laptop running RealTek High Definition audio drivers. I am computer musician that for the time being exclusively uses a ejay.Com music creation program called Dance 6.What happens during playback is I get this horrible popping,scratchy and hissing sound feedback when I touch the playback button. Installing new RealTek audio drivers does not seem to fix the audio problems I am having here.I am sure that it is Windows 7 starter 32 bit related somehow in conflict with the music creation software.
