These .tmp files created by Norton Anti Virus should be temporary files of the downloaded definations and updates through the LiveUpdate program..After installation of the updates, the temp files are left there and not deleted...Regarding every 2 to 3 minutes creation time, I suppose you have enabled to check for virus for every file, which the temp file of the file that is being checked is created there...Likewise, I don't think it has auto removal feature for your case...As for mine, I don't see any temp files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs .. I've using Norton AntiVirus too...

However you can smoothen pixelated pictures.. which means put those extra big squres or pixtures onto gradients to match and fix the entire picture...It can be done easily with Microsoft Photo Editor..Just open your original picture file there and enlarge to your required size..Then check on "Smooth Edges"..You're done...

Open Office is NOT the Linux version of Microsoft Office..It's just that OpenOffice is free and Microsoft Office is a paid-to-use software...Since Linux is a free and opensourced Operating System, therefore it also using all other free sources of software that also operatable on Linux..So Linux becomes 100% free with all software included...Unlike Microsoft, you buy Windows Operating System without software included..On top of that, you still need to purchase them to use on Windows Operating System..Furethermore, Windows Operating System is a very good target for virus writers to write and destroy user data on Windows OS..So Linux is always the better choice in the case where it is free to use and still quite free of virus..However Linux is not quite good for business that does publication, because it's open-sourced so people can edit to suit their requirements and so there are alot of "standards" out there...

It seems like the GUI of your WinXP system is changing.. You have attempt to change the skin of your Windows XP? Because ntosknl.exe is the loading screen when your Windows XP boots up.. also called the Boot-Up screen... If you changed it, ntosknl.exe might be found because it's incompatibility between WinXP and WinXP with Service packs... To updo this, you have to access back to your harddrive, which you can create a bootable CD and add the original ntosknl.exe to your bootable CD, copy and overwrite the errorous version of ntosknl.exe If the above wasn't what you have done.. then it was due to an incorrect BOOT.INI To gain access to the Boot.ini, go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig. Then go to the Boot.ini Tab. Or...Right click the My Computer icon/Properties/ Advanced/Startup and Recovery/Settings/System Startup/Edit. How to Edit the BOOT.INI File in Windows XP https://support.microsoft.com/en-us As for hal.dll, here are the steps to recover from the mistakes.. Boot from your WinXP CD and follow the directions to start Recovery Console. Then type these commands : Attrib -H -R -S C:\Boot.ini DEL C:\Boot.ini BootCfg /Rebuild Fixboot The alternative way is to boot from your CD and follow the directions below to start Recovery Console. Insert the Setup compact disc (CD) and restart the computer. If prompted, select any options required to boot from the CD. When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts; choose the repair or recover option by pressing R. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access from the Recovery Console. When prompted, type the Administrator password. (if you didn't create one try pressing enter). At the system prompt, type Recovery Console commands; type help for a list of commands, or help commandname for help on a specific command. Most likely you will need to expand the file from the CD. The command would be expand d:\i386\hal.dl_ c:\windows\system32\hal.dll. Substitute d: for the drive letter of your CD. Once you have expanded the file type "exit" to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer. You can refer to some screenshots of the recovery console here http://www.windowsnetworking.com/j_helmig/wxprcons.htm

Yeah... The last time my problem was the same but it was on ftp..I was trying to upload via ftp..and all my files, although uploaded, seems to become invalid files...JPEG cannot open, webpages become junk text ... same for other files...Till then, I didn't use FTP already.. and I'm now using Webbased File Manager in cPanel..I still don't know which is the fault and where it lies...So I can easily understand your situation...

Still google...Because the accuracy is very high...Using other search engines you may not get what you want...

Is there any applications like PHPNuke which is able to post blogs to your personal website?
-
I assume you are saying that you wanna upload a picture as your avatar or something...The forum administrator indeed blocked this feature basically because to save space..Image alot of people uploading pictures to the forum space, they will have no more left for upgrades...So instead, you can link the pictures from a webhost...You can host it on your Xisto webhost if you have one too...
-
Maybe you can try some alternatives... Try using FTP instead of browser upload... There are some free FTP softwares around... https://filezilla-project.org/ https://www.smartftp.com/ http://www.coreftp.com/ http://www.ftpx.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ For your broswer uploading problem, you can try alternative browsers like Opera, IE, Firefox etc.. Firefox : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ K-Meleon : https://sourceforge.net/projects/kmeleon/files/ Opera : http://www.opera.com/computer/windows Else, I think you require a admin to help you with the problem...

I use my school's intranet mail, hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail, and my ISP mail...The most acitve is hotmail because that's where I keep all my contacts on MSN messenger...Gmail somehow became my personal online storage...Yahoo mail same too..My school's intranet mail is to keep spams from the school admins.. they just keep spamming with junk..ISP mail, it came free with my internet plan as a package.. I don't really use it...I have to say Gmail is FAST!It's just too fast... Mails are guaranteed to be delivered...That's what I like it...And still its free.. Sometimes I'm wondering why Gmail is so "stupid" to give such high quality standards for free...

You meant capturing video from a video camera device? First, set up your video capture hardware by plugging in the USB 2.0 cable to the device and connecting it to the port on your PC. Power on the capture device by plugging it into an electrical outlet. Next, turn on your PC. The capture device should be recognized by the PC. Connect the source by plugging in the source device’s video and audio out cables into the video and audio inputs on the capture device. For a VHS VCR, I am connecting the RCA video (yellow cable) output and RCA audio (white and red cables) outputs to the RCA inputs on the DVD XPress Capture device. Start your video capture software. Double click the icon on your desktop or go to Start > Programs > Pinnacle Studio Plus 9 (or the name of the program you're using) to run the software. You need to configure the capture software to tell it what format to encode the video to. If you plan on recording to CD, you would pick MPEG-1, for DVD pick MPEG-2. Click the Settings button and then click the Capture Format tab. Change the preset to MPEG and quality setting to high (for DVD). To capture your video, click the start capture button and a dialog box pops up for a file name. Enter a file name and click the Start Capture button. Once your video is captured to your hard drive it can then be imported into a video editing software application for editing or recorded to CD or DVD using CD/DVD Recording software and a CD/DVD writer. Try these if you meant others :http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/?aspxerrorpath=/TutorialptureVideo.aspx http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.capture-video.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Yagoohoogle Do You Yahoo Or Google ?
Inspiron replied to alexia's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey that's cool..! But it's kinda scripting that can be done using javascript and php.. And of course using frames... Hmm.. that gives me an idea of creating a multisearch page... From Google to Yahoo, to MSN Search to Ask Jeeves... All in 1 page... That's super cool... But in the end, the user might come thinking it as a pest.. with lots and lots of results that he/she can easy gets blurred... Anyway, it's some innovation from http://yagoohoogle.com/ And I'm going to use that often... Thanks for that... -
It would be best if you provide a screen shot...

I think its a sensitive issue to post it here...

Is Planeshift free? I've seen it before.. Guild Wars isn't free by the way...Anarchy has a very slow connection to the servers...So it's all quite disappointing...How the objective like in Planeshift?I've been trying to look for games that offers strategy and requires high level of thinking objectives.. just like Command & Conquer series...

It's not actually the Chip.. but the laser head...DVD-ROM only have the READ head...DVD-RW has the READ & WRITE head...It's physical... no drivers can "add" a write head to the drive...
-
Unfortunately, that's all crap... DVD-RW requires a special laser head that can write or "burn" data onto the disc.. On the other hand, a DVD-ROM simple just reads data off the disc... So you can never convert a plain DVD-ROM drive into a DVD-RW... If you can, let me know... Because I know it can't be done... You can only count your fingers up to 10... It doesn't make any sense for another human or an alien to teach you to count your own fingers more than 10... Only if you have more then 10 fingers then you can count them... So even with drivers installed, although such drivers would never exist, the drives will still never be able to write data to the disc.. because it simply wasn't mean't to.. You need to know how disc drives works to know more alot such stuffs... Read an article by PCTech.com here... https://www.pctechguide.com/dvd/

That's crazy...I don't think the presidents will get to stay in such expensive houses too...Too expensive to be a hotel either...Use that sum of money to rebuild the Twin Towers makes better sense..

Yeah...The next era of such extertainment is going digital. This not only saves space, but also provides the ultimate quality of sound effects, graphical illusions, all bringing a person's mind into state imagination.Good example is Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios theme parks.I'm waiting when such entertainment comes to homes. So get ready a pair for 3-D glasses, hook yourself up with a surround headphone and blast away to the world of imagination...
