  4. Thanks for all the replies... I've just tried Linspire 4.5 on VMWare... It took me sometime to install VMware, and also installing Linspire on the emulated harddrive by VMware... After installing, the startup of Linspire just hang there and the scroll-lock and number-lock key LEDs on my keyboard kept flashing... I removed the emulated drive and redo the whole procedure thinking it might be something foreign that disturbs the installation, but the same thing happens... The startup of Linspire stops when a message states : Kernel Panic : Attempt to kill init Any dudes know what's happening? Here's a video of it that I've captured : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  5. I did a clean install of Windows XP some time ago..It returned to the fast speed and all animations were sleek...Only after I installed Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security, my computer became slower then before...Startup now takes longer time and the computer seems to process something even the computer just boot into the desktop...Task Manager shows a jump of additional processes in the background...I understand that it's all normal to have Norton AntiVirus to run applications in the background to track virus every micro-second.. so does Norton Internet Security...I am trying to ask if there are other AntiVirus & Firewall softwares which loads like it will never have to load, and the amount of memory and processes running is far lesser, say maybe just 1 additional process...?

  15. Oh... Since the flying cars are so advance, it may be using solar power instead to gas or patrol to run the vehical..Best still, it may be all just using air cushion so its noiseless and environmental free...If that's the case, I'm okay with it...

  17. Windows Media Player will be able to play OGG files and any other file formats when its codec is installed...This is same for the rest of the players out there... My Windows Media Player was unable to play DVD initially until I installed WinDVD which also installs the DVD decoder codec.. Until then, my Windows Media Player is able to play DVD.. Likewise for OGG file formats and any other file formats... So it's like, just download and install the codec and play! That's it... No additional players required. You stated the best PC music player is WinAMP but did not really specify the reason. If the only reason is that WinAMP is taking lesser CPU resources then Windows Media Player, then I will still stick to Windows Media Player... Basically bacause I can't listen to other music while gaming.. You don't listen to your MP3 music while you are holding a gun in your game or commanding your troops, don't you?
  18. Oh I didnt reliased I quoted the wrong person... Apologies...As for the playlist, all are texted-based, just open then in a Text Editor and you can see all the codes...I agree Windows Media Player cannot export as XML, but what's so special in XML since WinAmp is also able to save playlist as m3u likewise Windows Media Player...
  19. If it does, I think flying cars will adopt rules and regulations like those planes does...And it's far more dangerous to see cars speeding in the air.. Don't you think so?
  20. Windows Media Player is also able to save Playlist in several formats... Simply by clicking File and point to "Save Now Playing List As..."
  21. Still also for Windows Media Player, it's able to edit a lot of information about each track...

    Dvd Decoders

I think I get what you meant... You meant that you wanted a player that can play DVD movies which then all your current players on your computer couldn't play and they only play MP3, WMA, WAV etc.. If that is so, you need a DVD player because with a DVD player installed, a DVD codec is also installed.. With that, you can play DVD on Window Media Player, Real Player etc. as well... Heres some DVD players you can consider... Cliprex DVD Player http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (Freeware) Ogle DVD Player OpenSource http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (Freeware) DVD-X-Player http://www.dvd-x-player.com/ (Trial) WinDVD http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (Trial) If you are trying to copy DVDs, refer to the previous few posts... Copying DVDs requires some programs to be installed to bypass security checks and decrypts DVD data, which can be illegal if it's not for personal purposes like what BuffaloHELP has said... There are legal softwares like DVDIdle ( http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ) if you really want to copy it for your personal backup etc. Note that DVDIdle only bypass security checks, DVD region as well as decrypts DVD data but it does not do copying.. You will need another software to do copying with DVDs.. You may like to try these DVD copying softwares... 123CopyDVD https://www.123copydvd.com/ FastDVDCopy http://www.fastdvdcopy.com/ DVD-X-Copy http://ww4.dvd-x-copy.net/ Remember: It's against the law to make illegal copies of copyrighted material! You are on your own in regard to any legal issues.
  23. But Windows Media Player can just do all that as well...A few more clicks doesn't really matter as long as it still works and the user still gets the same effects..
  24. Hey guys..Here something I wanna find out...I know alot of peopl out there are using WinAMP..For me, I'm using Windows Media Player, since it's already included with Windows, why bother to download another player which does the same thing...So I wanna ask people out there which player you are using, and why...I wanna know what's so good about WinAMP over Windows Media Player...
  25. Hey I had the same problem with another computer like this but it's not on Counter Strike..I relised when I was benchmarking with 3DMark..Here's how I solve it...I installed all video drivers, directx and other multimedia stuffs but still the fps was lower then before formatting...I read through the documentation from DELL (it was a Dell computer) and I relised that I need to install motherboard drivers...I was in the package of installation files...Filename, somehow, the same as the name of my motherboard..After installing, I was forced to restart the computer...After which, my fps came back.. and the fps became faster..!So you might need to check your documentation of your computer...If its a DELL, I suggest you will need to install your motherboard driver package...Hope that helps...
