  1. Firstly, make sure your PC, or whichever by wire, is connected to ethernet port 1 or the router. Only after port 1 of the router is used, port 2 will then be valid for use, followed by port 3 and so on. So make sure the port number usage is in sequence.Another possibility could be that your software firewall on the wired computer is blocking access to certain websites. These settings could be of accidental, so do check to confirm it is not the cause of the problem. Also, if you are using Norton firewall products, make sure the settings are saved to the correct profiles. Remember to allow full access to your router's/gateway's IP address, usually 192.168.1.1A tip to check if software firewall is the problem, disable auto-protect, and disable the firewall totally before trying to connect to the sites that you couldn't access to.Otherwise, if a wireless computer is able to surf the internet without any problems, a wired computer will definately also able to do so. The wired computer has, in fact, better quality of service as compared to the wireless connected computers. If it still fails, I suggest asking your friends for their brand of routers, borrow them to try out for your computers. If even this still doesn't work, most probably it would be something blocking access to the internet on the wired computer.
  2. Oh and also.. I would prefer more at least 256x256 for avatar and more details and doesn't look so simple and complicated.. Sorry for the late infomation..Good sig though..

  10. If you all the computer components technically, and wanted to have your style of specification, you definately will prefer custom-built computers. Because they can suit exactly what you need.. Builders should also know the electronic pins and plugs to all components, the various voltages and also know the different types of motherboards and their compatible processors.. I suggest to do this if you are a geek..Else, call up a company to build your own style of PC. Dell is a good brand for its quality and after-sales services and their products are always among the latest of all other computer makers. You can also customise to your needs at Dell, or order their standard sets of computers. For me, I'll go for branded PC because it gives me support and warranty to faulty devices, and they are sure to work. Self-customised PC might risk failure of working and does not have enough support. Everything is self-troubleshoot and self-maintained. As what I've said earlier, probably a geek can handle it...
  11. By then technology will be so very advanced... Probably human race could have "moved house" to another further planet, or even build their on planet in space. They may even rule the space universe, having their houses built just in space, float in space or rather..Travelling at speed of light, against time or back in time could be possible already. Anyway if this super-nova thing is true, then God bless our 10^7 grandchildren then.. LoL
  12. I think RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) is kindda standard database architecture.. It's just providing a standard way to retrieving, storing, deleting and arranging data in the database that many databases recognise this standard so as to run anywhere.. Here's what I've found about RDBMS... http://linuxfinances.info/info/rdbms.html And also, you had definately started this topic is the wrong forum. This forum is to let people to request for new webhosting account, hence other topics shouldn't be here..

  15. You can change the caption, or the title, of any messagebox. The only thing you cannot change is the text of the buttons in a messagebox. However if you want to have a customised button text, you can make another form that opens as a dialog, to imitate the effects of a messagebox. This way, not even you can customise the button text of the messagebox, you can also add background pictures, sound effects, colors, and even add a customised icon.Basically just treat the form as a messagebox and customise it..

  18. guangdian, he's trying to say that method of installing drivers first then inserting wireless adapter, if you have the drivers in setup exe format. If you doesn't have them, or your drivers are just *.inf or some config text files, then you will have to insert your wireless adapter first, then install the drivers when Windows prompted a new device found...
  19. Razor, these "ghosting effects" and "screen embossment" only affect the older versions of flat screen monitors, LCD screens and plasma screens. The latest screens have improved and these problems were already eliminated. You can already buy these monitors with peace..

  24. Another method that sure works is to boot up your computer to DOS mode. And delete the file(s) like working on a command prompt.Loading Windows makes alot of system files undeletable.Otherwise, use HijackThis program.
  25. If you just want to run your application on startup, an alternative is to place it's shortcut in "C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup".The application will simply start when you login to Windows.
