  1. Wow looks like you both like to stay on topic. Are we all really dumb or do we just ramble on and on to try and get measly hosting credits? Do you honestly believe you would get UNLIMITED space to use for FREE!? Why even raise an eyebrow when you see that in cpanel. If it were to happen, I'm sure there would be an announcement, and further, this community would gain about 1,000 members/hour as people would flock for such a *fairy tale* kind of possibility. This topic should be closed.
  2. Wow...5. We don't know you!...How do you expect us to trust you if we don't know you. Come on, you've made just over 50 posts...6. Just because you are basically new here and have relatively limited posts, that does not mean newer members that haven't made a ton of posts don't get moderator positions. In my knowledge I think Kubi and BuffaloHelp climbed the ranks quickly...7. Please subtract illdevilinc from being applicable from statement #6.8. If you want the title of moderator, you must act similar to that of a moderator. As stated in previous posts in this thread, report posts, acting mature and professional, making QUALITY posts on a consistent basis...9. Read the TOS I'm sure you'll learn a lot more about how one should act at Xisto.10. Thanks Kubi for helping me with this I couldn't have written all ten by myself...
  3. Hmm, not too bad, there's always room for improvement but you're getting a good start at things...nice job and keep it up the more images you make the more experience you gain and the better you get!
  4. Only when I was younger were pranks pulled, nowadays it doesn't ever happen ...shameful, but no time for jokes and pranks...ah wish I was a youngster again...
  5. 1. Don't act like a joke. 2. Ever hear of patience? 3. People like to mess around with stuff, sometimes its a member who causes the trouble, not OpaQue's fault. 4. Improve your reputation while you can you're now at a low point.
  6. Abortion should be illegal in every state period. Good job SD. A baby SHOULD NEVER "BE TAKEN OUT OF ITS MISERY". So we're just not even going to give that baby a chance. Lucky for all of us then eh?, that we were granted the "chance" to live.God is supposed to make these decisions on whether a child lives or not, not us...it's totally ridiculous.
  7. Both of them are excellent, thank you both for your help.I am going to use banners for a new site based around, yes, elevenmil. When I use yours I'll give credit where it is due :lol:Thanks again, I may have one more adjustment for your image T.F. but other than that its excellent...if I were to use it on my webpage I'd like to have a 'saying' on it...Excellent work from the both of you and thanks for your time spent on these images
  8. I've known of hybernation feature but rarely use it. Firstly I don't even shut off my computer. Secondly I hear hybernation hurts the computer, using hybernation over a long period of time shortens the lifespan of your computer. Then again my statement regarding not using hybernation to protect lifespan can be voided as I'm sure leaving computer on isn't too healthy either......or maybe I'm just stupid altogether.
  9. wild20, My site is run by "Joomla!" http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ To add new templates, modules, and components, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The default template will make your site look like a blog, but you don't even have to edit index and css files to reorder the content. You can reformat module positions simply by editing the modules themselves. There you can position where you want each selected module to go. If you need more specific help you can contact me PM or AIM (elevenmil). I've been using this program for almost a month now and I know just about everything you need to know to get things started.
  10. Looks very nice :huh:One suggestion...could you make "elevenmil" a little larger, and maybe lettering a little thicker...It looks awesome, just wondering if you could tweak it just a bit ;)Thanks!
  11. Take the advice from those who've posted above, but here is how I prepare for the slopes :huh:1. Take food and drink, put in a backpack. If you're low on cash, do this. Food and drinks are extremely expensive. I'm a skiier in PA, I go to Seven Springs. EVERYTHING you look at is overpriced.2. Overdress. It never hurts to wear more than what you need. If it's a warm day, which it's been frequent this winter in PA, don't overlook the fact that when it starts to get dark the winds will pick up and it will get cold.3. Goggles.Get ski goggles. Not only will they protect you from a blinding sun reflecting off of the snow, but it'll protect you from nature's elements and, if your resort has them, the snow makers.4. Practice on a local hill.If you have a small hill around your home, put on your ski's and give it a shot. You'll get the feel of things. Also try on your boots and walk around in them. Ski boots are weird and it makes you lean forward, you have to adjust. Walking up and down stairs as a newbie will lead to frustration .5. Start out slow on the hills.Go on some flat trails or bunny slopes. The ski resort should have a "training" area with a rope tow that you should practice on for a while. Then shoot down a mountain and see how you do, remember to use the plow method.6. DON'T BE AFRAIDThe most important thing to note is the fact that you can't be afraid on the hill. If you're going to fall, don't fight it, just fall! First of all, just falling will most likely prevent injury (if you fight it you may land awkwardly and injure yourself)Hope you have a good time on the slopes
  12. Everyone goes through rejection, heck even you will, probably more than once, it's just the way things go.Tell her how you feel, but don't be ignorant. Basically I'd use the "I'm not looking for a relationship right now" excuse, and go on from there. I think she'll fall for that :huh:I'm sure since time has passed since the initial thread that you've already done some work on this situation, but you can still use this and other posts as "future reference"
  13. Size: between 650 and 750 x150Theme: Up to authorRender: Up to author...Render Theme: games, soldier, whatever floats your boat...Color: blue, yellow, red, black, or green (NO SPECIFIC COLOR, YOU CAN CHOOSE , I would like an overall darker theme )Text: elevenmilOther effects: I'd like overall image to be darker, not a light image...Basically I've created a subdomain for my Xisto - Web Hosting site which will be the home of my personal site (I miss my old personal site ). So I need a header image for the elevenmil that is me. There's no specifics here, so be creative if you want I'll adjust layout colors in accordance to the theme of the image ;)Thanks
  14. I have the Samsung a950, it's pretty cool with the MP3 players and the picture quality is awesome. I can also take video and record almost an hour of descent quality video. Basically I have no need for a digital camera any more
  15. I would like to know who built the building and how old the building is...pretty interesting find but I wouldn't be surprised if other building formations resembeled a similar shape. I wouldn't think it was intentional, but hey, who knows...
  16. I have Verizon DSL and am very happy with it Yes, it was rather lengthy to install (add on to that some telephone line issues) but since those problems were resolved the service has been excellent. Previously I used AOL, but, um, yeah, had to drop that whole gig.
  17. Nope, nope, I've yet to experience any downtimes in quite some time. Take BuffaloHELP's advice when you experience problems because what he says is right. Compared to a few months ago when mysql downtimes were frequent, Trap has rocked of late service wise. I present no complaints
  18. Oh boy, and the celebration is under way :)Good job admin's, if this works out it'll definitely be one of the finest forum enhancements that's been made
  19. I just tried out Opera after using IE for a long long time and I have to admit I'm not really impressed with Opera. It takes up enormous space while I run the program and it slows down other programs that are running at the same time. On the other hand, I haven't experienced the same problems when using IE, and in addition, having multiple IE browsers open at the same time while running additional programs. I haven't tried Firefox or Mozilla but will test them out soon since I just haven't found Opera to be so good . Many say IE is lower tier to other browswers, but to date, I like it
  20. In addition to be hosted here at Xisto, I opened up an account with Xisto - Web Hosting and for the most part my new Joomla! powered website is up and running, all I need to do is fill up some content and readjust table colors and positions. But for now tell me what you think, the positives and negatives, what you like and what I can do to improve the look and feel of my site.Pay special attention to the image header, it was made by BuffaloHELP
  21. Now I hope we're all aware here that SM will most likely not read these replies, but I guess it is nice to send him off with a farewell to one of the most active members here ever. Only the ones who have been here for a long time can truely realize his contributions and ability to keep the forum lively, although new members can acknowledge he was probably the first name you saw when you signed up.SM was a great contributor but like many times change and people move on. It's great to be a part of this community but we all know there's just a point in time where priorities take over and certain things aren't as important as they once were. Despite my desire to stay here for a long, long time, I have seen many active members fizzle away since I started here, and SM is just the latest of the many to leave, and his exit is considered a major one here at Xisto. If you are having troubles in life like SM, please, get some help. His emotions are quite disturbing and, for real, I do hope his life straightens out. We can all act so nice and pleasant in the forums, but you just never know who exactly you're talking to in real life.So now we move on, Xisto members, this forum has progressed so much since I came here, and despite his departure, I don't doubt new active members can replace what we'll miss from him.
  22. Sorry to see you go Daman, despite some bad behavior from you it's always a pleasure to see long term members around...but alas, time moves on and priority's and free time change. Hope to see you back if your will desires.
  23. All is good for now sir! Your images are exceptionally nice, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you sir
  24. The larger homepage image looks nice! One comment that I didn't make on my last post...the "FORUM" cards overlap the final word "destination". But I think you put that there for the phrase "Western PA's ultimate texas hold'em forum." (This after delay of mental awareness)Looking good Buffalo thanks again!
  25. Wow buddy it looks great Very nice job. Of course you will get credit where credit is due Notice from jlhaslip: *edit* Ignore this request, elevenmil has it done already *edit*One more tiny little thingy...could you possibly stretch homepage header to 735x150? The forum image is great and only make changes if you want to Thanks Buffalo I'll make sure you are recognized.
