My Colleague's Notebook Exploded with pictures
Will.Allison replied to faund's topic in General Discussion
That's AWESOME. It sucks for your friend but you have to admit its pretty cool. The story is almost worth the loss. -
Oh, you used a template. I still would highly recommend learning CSS. You can customize your site exactly how you want it that way. If you don't want to put that much time in, you will not be able to change your site that much at all.
-
That is actually a very nice site for designing it in photoshop(you did that, right?). But what I would suggest is learning CSS. It's a bit more complicated than HTML but still easy to learn and way more customizable. Also, if you do make a new site in CSS, make sure you use DIVs instead of tables.

A weird turn on/turn off for me is the person's voice. If they have a very annoying voice, its like nails on a chalk board. But if she has a really nice voice, its a big turn on.

In my opinion, I think Vista is a joke. Its just a shinier version of XP with rediculous sercurity. You have to confirm to do ANYTHING including features that come with Vista. For example, you have to confirm windows to turn on the firewall. Its not that big of a deal but i find it very annoying. Another thing that is rediculous is the price and all of the versions. I'm gonna stick with XP until they come out with something bigger and better than just making it look better.

I like the overall design but I think there are a few things you can add/change. First of all, I think a shadow on the edges of the main div would make it look a lot better. Also, a different background color that gives it contrast might work better as well.Play around with the navigation a little bit. See if it looks better below the logo and maybe in a different color than black.Nice start.

Yeah, I have braces, too. They suck. I got my top and bottom on at the same time and couldn't eat solid food for a week. They cut up your mouth and are extremely painful. And after all that is said and done for a while, they give you rubber bands to put in. This brings more pain but not quite as much as the initial amount. They also try and stop you from eating a lot of things... Overall, braces are one of the worst experiences of my life. I really want them off.

I Hate My Treacher *Teacher* ??? see second post...
Will.Allison replied to SuperMonkeyMan's topic in The Vent
Here's some advice, get over it or look for alternatives. I am in high school and I very much dislike it as well. My teachers are alright this year but last year almost every one of them was pathetic. I am most likely going to go to Middle College next semester because of how much I dislike high school. (Middle College is a mix between community college and high school). So maybe talk to your parents about homeschooling, or look for other alternatives.EDIT: I was homeschooled all the way until high school; so that may have added to my dislike for public school. -
Line Rider The Automatic Time waster 3000
Will.Allison replied to TypoMage's topic in Computer Gaming
I did this a lot in class last year. Its pretty fun to do things you find out on accident. You can do some really cool things and make it really complex. There are no lame psychics malfunctions that i remember. Everyone should check it out. -
Good luck man. I have a first dan black belt in Tang-So-Do. The black belt testing was very hard but it was not as serious as you have explained your testings. My sensei(is that how you spell it?) does not invite us to testing unless he knowns you are ready. The point of his testings are to see how much effort you are willing to put in to get your new belt. But anyways, good luck with that. Hope you do well.

Sweet thanks for the update. I used spybot a few years ago and it worked pretty well. I use adaware right now and that seems to help, too. Why do you think spybot is better than adaware?

When Your Heart Runs Rampant.
Will.Allison replied to Mermaid711's topic in Dating And Relationships
That would make life a lot more fair, yes. But sexual attraction is basic human nature and it usually overrules personality (at least for the short term). Of course, personality is required for a long-term relationship, but a lot of people are not looking for that. -
Google will soon control the world!!!! Its getting a bit ridiculous but good for google.

I'm torn between super-speed-flying and being able to stop time.On second thought, being able to stop time would be better cause you could make th day last as long as you wanted, and do anything you wanted. You would have to get to a good location first, though.

Thats a tough one.I would probably just take my best friend and fly somewhere exotic and do whatever came to mind. Since money would not be a problem, you could do almost anything.

Darkfall The Revolutionary MMORPG of the century
Will.Allison replied to Punisher12's topic in Computer Gaming
That game looks AWESOME! Extremely revolutionary. One thing I question is how balanced it will be. Do you keep the weapons that you pick up after every login/logout? if so, it is pretty much based on luck to get better. But I like the fact that it is entirely skill based and you don't just click buttons. I will most likely buy it. Hopefully their wont be a monthly fee. -
I do not think I am the best or the strongest, I do not think I deserve more respect than an ordinary person. I just don't think I deserve the respect that is given to a person my age. What I mean by disrespect is that it is very hard to do anything without other people thinking its a joke, or your not trying to do something seriously. Like cangor said, how I am immediately a suspect when I walk into a store, and stuff like that. You have a very good point. But one of my reasons for wanting more respect is jobs. I tried to apply to a few, and as for being my first job, no one accepted me. I understand that they may want someone with more experience, but for a cashier or a stocker, it dosn't take that much skill. I believe a major reason they turned me down was because of the stereotype of people my age. Yes, that is a lot of what I am saying. However, it is not all. That si also a very good point. But it is hard to get close enough to earn that respect because of immediate judgment that I receive. Yes, it is possible to do that and I have with a few friends and parents of friends, but it is hard when you don't know someone.

As a 16 year old, I am very frustrated with how much I am restrained. Our society has a very negative view on youths because of their stereotypical form. I am not the "stereotypical youth". I consider myself quite, polite, responsible, and mature(judge me by the previous posts I made if you doubt me). With that said, the amount I am able to do with respect is severely limited. I know society can't give out the same amount of privileges they give to adults to the youth, that is the frustrating part. I know as a whole we should not be given equal respect as adults because their are many of the "stereotypical youths". But what about the rest of us? We just have to sit and wait until we are older before we get the same amount of respect. This same applies to almost all stereotypes. Why am I posting about this one? Because it applies to me directly and immediately. This does not mean in any way I see this problem higher than any of the other stereotypes, in fact, it is one of the lesser. But it is still very frustrating to me.What do you guys think about the respect we give the youth? What do you think should change or stay the same?

Sm Strikes A Pose With His First Built Computer BOOYAH
Will.Allison replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Art & Creativity
Nice setup. Especially the monitor, is that 21"? And also, what are the specs of teh cookie monster's machine? -
That depends on you're culture and the girl you are seeing. You most likely know what is acceptable in your culture when you meet new people. Do that. And be yourself.

Soul Calibur 3 - Ivy Wallpaper
Will.Allison replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Very nice as usual SM. The one thing I would say are the dots on the top right don't really fit. They kind of stand out and are totally different than everything else. The dots in the background are a nice touch, though. I like it.P.S Where did you learn photoshop? Did you just look at a bunch of tutorials and add everything together? I want to be able to do what you do but just can't. Nothing blends well when I try. -
Thats a little ironic, isn't it? Ok, but back on topic. We are so insignificant in this world. There are billions of stars in this galaxy and there are billions of galaxies in the universe. In our galaxy we live on a planet that is much, much smaller than one of these billions of stars. So how do we know that there HAS to be an afterlife? With so much other stuff in the universe than us, how do we know that we even matter in the bigger picture? But since we are so small and insignificant,we will not know the answer (at least for a very long time (depending on if we aren't extinct by then)). It's a very cruel world.

I start Monday and I will be a Junior as well. I am deffinatley not looking forward to it. I don't like almost all of the kids at my school and I only like a couple teachers. Not fun.
