  1. Hehe, there is a flash version here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I haven't played Maple Story, so I can't give you any critiques on the flash game. :-/
  2. Technically, you can get free photoshop programs, and if you ask me, most of the users here got it that way. However, I can't discuss that method. There is a cheap alternative though. I believe that there is a student/teacher edition which is the same photoshop, but less expensive.
  3. Excellent tutorial as always. :PI'll be sure to try this one since I have a server that supports PHP on hand - Xisto.
  4. Woo hoo! Xisto is 1 year old! Hopefully, it won't die young.
  5. That one looks good. I especially like the pinkness to it.But why are there still black areas? Looks like those need to be filled a bit....
  6. What exactly is this one though? It looks like a mix between ghouls and lava.
  7. I thought the full path is '/home/[cpanel login name]/public_html/[filename]'?
  8. People make mistakes. As long as your mistakes are not big, you will not be banned. After a couple of weeks, your warning level will go down, so you don't have to worry about that too much. We also have some members who were banned on their first day here because they spammed crazily. You weren't one of them.
  9. Your situation has been reported to an admin.
  10. Well, mods cannot do anything about the appearance of this forum other than to give suggestions to the admins, so you're gonna have to PM Nils of OpaQue for that. And if you want flash games, you can refer to my sig. However, if you want to discuss and play games at the same place, then go to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Thread close as question has been answered.
  11. If you want to get a feel of Linux but still have a taste of Windows, you can go with Ubuntu: https://www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=1&q=hB9oZ5X34563KOQw. It sends out free CDs, and you can order as much as you like.
  12. PHPNuke is all right if you're a beginner, but it's starting to become really cliche. Everyone can basically install the program, and make it seem that they know a lot of PHP. Code a site from scratch if you want to impress. :-/ That's just my two cents.
  13. Why are these threads titled "Gift Sigs" when there is only one in each topic? You can also put who the sig is for in the title of the thread so that it'll show at the bottom of each page in the forum. And am I sensing a sig race between you can Johnny?
  14. When posting cluttered desktops, save it as a PNG file in Microsoft Paint. Then, go to http://imageshack.us/ to upload it. That way, the image will be much smaller in size.
  15. HAHAHA!! This story is on my site, too: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  16. Hmm, I might use this for my style switcher on my site since I don't like cookies very much...
  17. Oooh, a glowing pill. Nice job. Make the background transparent, like Johnny said, and it'll look even better. Haha, he can use the Hue/Saturation thing in Photoshop to easily make it blue.
  18. Instead of using JavaScript to go back a step in history, you could also use PHP: <a href="<?php echo $_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"]; ?>">Go back</a>It's much easier; there are no forms; and it's always works regardless of whether the user has JavaScript enabled or not. Of course, that will only work with hosts with PHP support such as Xisto. Edit: Fixed my own BBCode
  19. Yeah, the gradient looks a bit off, and you can throw gradients in any way you choose if you have photoshop, but I don't think cmatcmextra does.I like the background a lot, but the font color that you chose does not blend in very well with it.7.5/10
  20. Haha, are you saying that since we helped liberate the people of Iraq, we should get free/cheap oil? I remember hearing Donald Rumsfeld saying that the war in Iraq will only take a couple of weeks, months tops back in 2003 (?). Now, it's two years later, and there is still a war....
  21. Then again, it might not be a sig. Who knows. You should put a border around it, and like Michael said, make the backgrounds a little darker so that it matches the render.
  22. We do not endorse that kind of stuff around here.Thread closed.
  23. I didn't know what they were either, but OpaQue (admin here) explained it pretty nicely: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/6321-cron-jobs-cron-jobs-in-cpanel-cron-jobs-cron-jobs-using-php/
  24. Haha, excellent first post! You forgot to mention usage of the blink tag. I saw this one page that used the blink tag on ALL links. I fled in horror. By the way, if you want to see nearly unreadable text, go to http://racuda.com/?id=root You can barely see anything. Make sure you tell the owner that in the shoutbox. I tried, but his friends keep saying his site rocks. Oh, and by the way, welcome to Xisto!
