  1. It's nice a simple. I like the blending with the renders, but the red border does not go with it at all. Make the border 1 px black would be much better. Otherwise, it's good.
  2. Instead of saying "it does not work," you could give us a more detailed explanation of why it does not work and what you have done. Can you not upload the new index file? Does it give you an error when uploading the new index? Do you know how to upload the new index file? What is the name of the file that you are trying to replace? Is it index.php? index.htm? More information is needed to help you. As of now, it looks like you have successfully replace the index file with a blank page: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Normally, it would give you a message on how to start your new webhosting account if you have not replace the index file. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  3. He jus said he doesn't like it because it's too "geeky": I think the reason why he thinks that is because of the color choices. I don't think the theme is too geeky at all although there are some areas where it could improve....
  4. Your new template looks good. I see the shiny part on the top of the template. Nice! You could try to spice it up by making the borders more exciting instead of a black line. Here is an example of an wickedly good border: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Maybe the colors could be different? You don't have to change this because it's mainly one's personal preference. Try staring at your template for 5 minutes. If your eyes hurt, then the colors need to be darker. If your eyes don't hurt, leave them the way they are.
  5. What you need is a PHP style switcher. I searched for that yesterday, and I'm planning to implement it for my site. http://alistapart.com/article/phpswitch. A List Apart is a great site for tutorials on web development. Have fun! http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  6. Oooh! It looks nice. I like the sparly lightning. By the way, who's the dude in the picture? I alway seem to be clueless when it comes to the characters you place on sigs....
  7. Simple Red Template: Nice simple layout. You can replace the red background with a red gradient background to make it more exciting. Also, replace the black font with another color. Black on red doesn't look good because of the contrast issue.Mario Circuit Layout: It's a bit simple, but I think it'll look good on a page. Perhaps making the background colors (white, green, and red) glossier would have a much better effect.Complete Sony Layout: This one is good. I like it's overall professional-feel. I can definately imagine this being used on a real site.Revolution Layout: This is a bit on the simple side. I like the graphics on the banner and the gradient for the dividers, but you need to fill it up with more graphics. Perhaps adding something in between Zelda and the robot (don't know its name :lol), or you can change the gray background to something more exciting all together.
  8. I know hot girls use the internet. That's why I said "generally". Some of the girls who go to my school are hot, and I've talked to them online. It's just those girls don't know what we want, and your post is only going to help a very little amount of girls realize it. Well, to be fair, you had to understand the age part when he was refusing to give his age...which is 23. You are 23, right Michael? 'Cause if you aren't, then you lied about your age when signing up for Xisto, and that's a big no-no. Just so you know, quotes are done with square brackets "[" and "]". The ending quote-thing has a slash "/" just like in HTML. I just realized that until now. Thank you for the statement.
  9. True dat. Domains are very cheap nowadays, and just about anyone can buy them. If you don't have a credit card, you can always convince your parents that you will pay them back after all funds are transacted. Also, domainsite is a very good place to buy domain names because that's where I got my .info domain...for free. GoDaddy.com is also another good domain seller.
  10. There are a bunch of rounded corner generators out there that you can use. I don't have one on hand right now, but I'm sure Google does. Ask it. As for where to learn CSS, w3schools is a good place: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp
  11. Looks good. Try a border.Instead of listing stuff like "MySQL (unlimited...)", you can list "Unlimited ... / Unlimited ..." (where the "/" is a line break) for a stronger effect on the visitor.Besides that, it looks very good and professional. Kudos.
  12. Google Adsense has been discussed in this forum. Please use the search function before making a thread.Thread closed.
  13. This is sort of spam. Two of anything does not count of "loads." Also, Google Maps has been out for months now and so has Google Videos.Thread closed.
  14. Johnny came to your house, and you both worked on it???Wait. Or did you come to Johnny's house, and you both worked on it? Because you're using the first person plural "us"....
  15. That's because it's a fact of life. Girls, or at least good-looking ones, generally don't want anything to do with internet for some weird reason. Maybe they think it's a geek world, and they don't think geeks can please them. Who knows. And as for Johnny's advice...girls definately need to follow that, but too bad Xisto is not well known for dating, and not a lot of girls visit Xisto, so it's pretty much useless now. And Michael, how old are you?
  16. Damn. Based on your 4 characters on whether or not a girl likes you, girls actually liked me. Too bad I never took the chance.
  17. If you're hosted on Xisto, then modify the Xisto - Web Hosting banner so that it does not say "Hosted by Xisto - Web Hosting". Right now, it looks like you're hosted on two sites, and that's sort of impossible.
  18. I beg to differ. About a year ago, domainsite ( http://www.domainsite.com/ ) offered free domain names for people who are registering .info. It was truly free, and I can testify on their behalf because I got my domain name from there for free: http://sangnguyen.info/.
  19. I'm like you. I found out about HTML and web design through neopets because they had this little mini-forum where members could make their own threads and dress it up with HTML anyway they wish. Well, it was actually CSS, but I learned basic tags such as <b>, <i>, and <u> through that. Then, I became fascinated, so I looked at different sites' sources, and trying out different effects with notepad. After that, I decided to make a sub-profile thing on AIM. That needed a host, so I used Thirdage. It worked pretty well until my content grew, so I had to make a real site. The design was really basic, but everyone loved it. That site lasted a few years until someone told me that my layout sucked, so I made another one. I just kept changing layouts, and I'm still changing them. My current one is the one you see on my site. I'm still using notepad to edit my pages. It's fun because I don't have to be one of those "I use dreamweaver" crowds. I thought of some more that I wanted to say, and I didn't feel like double posting. sunkist, was your question answered about the form mail thing? You never left a reply on your thread. Second, Michael, this thread is not in the wrong place. She is asking all hosted members where they learned HTML. It could go in the HTML forum, but this forum is legitimate as well. Edit: Edded the last paragraph
  20. I was going to suggest my email tutorial. :rolleyes:Anyway, if you're set on using your script, please tell us what's happening so we can figure it out. Also, you can try to edit your script after reading my tutorial, so that it's similar to mine.I do have one thing to say when I was scanning your script...change all the "$_REQUEST"s to "$_POST".
  21. Haha, the news article actually has no nudity. No wonder imran was angry.
  22. Well, that's the thing. Nothing in the world is free, so you're going to have to either live with it, or buy a domain. Usually on holidays, godaddy sells its domains for as little as 3 bucks a pop with no quantity limit, so I'd buy my domains during that time. Also, did you write everything in your site because I think you got it from http://www.paypalwarning.com/. That site won't be very happy once it finds out you plagiarized from it. If I may ask, what are you using your site for? It better not be scamming people because one member got his name reported to the FBI...
  23. How do you know Michael is not 30-40 years old? Eh? By the way, this is more of a heath situation than "hot news" since not everyone in the world knows/cares who you are. It's the truth. Not everyone cares or knows who I am, too, so I'm not flaming anyone. Thread moved.
  24. I used to play Gunbound until all my friends quit, so I quit too because no one would play with me. Now, they're all starting again because it's the summer, and they all want me back. The thing is, Gunbound just released a new version, so I'll have to download the new one which is 107 MB. I guess can probably crunch that out overnight...My screenname on Gunbound is...of course...snlildude87, if you wanna add me.
