People Will Marry Robots In Future, Says Scientist!
Carson replied to Soviet's topic in Science and Technology
I actually think that there people out there who would do this. And by the time this is able to happen, i think its possible to develope a relationship with a robot. There are already robots out there that are able to learn. If they become advanced enough, a relationship is possible. As well as full access to do whatever the person likes, certain people would be attracted to that. But in theory you should be in love to get married, and i dont think too many would fall in love with it. Maybe they could be just tools. Although, think of all the things people have already tried to marry..... -
If there are people who dont agree with you and are mean to you etc. you shouldnt hang around them. They are not your friends, and you should not pay any attention to them. I am quite skinny but no one says anything to me about it. You shouldnt care what people think about you. If they are mean to you just get away from them. Not everyone is like that.

How To Prevent My Site From Being Hacked?
Carson replied to satyaparija's topic in Websites and Web Designing
You should also back up your files and database constantly. There is a feature in the CPanel that lets you back up all your files. I have a modification for my forum that stores a copy of the database in a selected directory daily, as well as daily emails of a back-up. This way the most that can possibly be lost is 1 day. But my forum is IPB. Im not sure about Joomla. -
It depends how you die if you know how it feels or not. Doctors know what people go through by dieing of diseases. But dieing from age is different. No one knows, but I think it is peaceful and painless. I havent thought of what it would be like to die. Im not worried about it to be honest. It will happen to everyone eventually, so its best no to think so much about it.

Well I use SmartFTP, and that I have never had any problems with it, and it's always been reliable for me. What kind of issues are you having? Sometimes the problem is with the host, and not the FTP Client.

Godaddy Or Yahoo Domains Help me to Choose...
Carson replied to varalu's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I hear that yahoo domains are quite popular. If I bought a domain name, i probably would have bought hosting too, so I havent actually used yahoo before. I was going to though, because that had this deal where you could buy a domain name for something like $2.99 for the first year. That was the cheapest I came accross when i was looking for a domain name service to buy a domain name from. It looks like they do not have that deal any more though. Oh well, its back to $9.95/year. -
I use imageshack to upload my images. I've never actually been to ImageFilez, i will take a look now. Although, I usually use my Xisto account. I have enough space, and its much easier to keep track of files and urls than imageshack. I think you can have accounts on imageshack, which you can keep track of your uploads, but you dont have to so no one bothers.

To be considered not a virgin, there would have to be some kind of penetration, correct? I think babies still in the mothers womb are not developed enough for this to happen.

Did anyone watch the quarter finals today? I'm a New Zealander, and quite disappointed. The first quarter final was between Australia and England. Now, Australia was at the top of their pool, and didnt lost any matches. While England was second in theirs after losing to South Africa. But today England beat Australia 12-10, knocking Australia out. The second match, four hours later, was between the All Blacks(Thats New Zealand, obviously) and France. Everyone had thought this was going to be a boring one(Even me), the All Blacks had never lost a quarter final before. But the end result was 20-18, to France! New Zealand was knocked out in a quarter final against France. A couple of months before, the All Blacks beat France easily, and France even lost to Argentina in their first game. These were two of the top teams, and were knocked out by teams second place in their pool. I dont think the All Backs want to come back home and face the media... So my pick now would have to be South Africa to win. Fortunately(for them) they will not have to face Australia or New Zealand or the semis or finals. Which i think would be a very different result if it wasnt for these two upsets today. Credit goes to England and France of course.

I dont worry about death either, so I dont fear it. I dont think about my own death, perhaps because i am too young and have a lot of other things to worry about. I know that we will all die sometime, thats life, so we must live it while we have it. Thats easier said than done. Trying to live your life without regretting anything is difficult, but its something worth trying to do. The thought of it is so far from my mind, i dont fear it.

I think that the word virgin just describes doing something, and not how a person is. If you have not had sex, then you are a virgin. Girls cannot have sex while they are growing inside their mothers, so they cannot have sex before birth. I think has to do with mutations in humans... but how is this related to girls being virgins? I suppose it depends on how you look at the word...

According to my Bio teacher, humans constantly have mutations. Most are not serious, and we dont even notice them. He says that every human has at least 46 mutations, but are so minor that you would not notice them. I heard on the news not long ago about how half the population have back molars(those are the teeth at the back of your mouth), and half the population do. This is a mutations, and according to natural selection, will continue to spread in humans, and eventually they will be gone permanently. Another example is with milk. Apparently all adults could not drink milk, but they could as babies. They were all lactose intolerant. There were a few exceptions, and some adults could drink milk. This was a mutation, and spread. And now most adults can drink milk. I think most people in Asian and Africa are still lactose intolerant? Thats what I was told. I think this is much the same with eating raw meat. It was a mutation that spread in humans. So there will be humans that can eat raw meat, and some that cannot. Although you would have to argue which is the mutation... whichever one came first, but we dont really know because it happens over such a long period of time.

I have a Dutch copy of MS Office 2003 on my computer, with no Multilingual User Interface. I study Information Management and Support, which is as good as solely computer work. Now at school, they prefer to use the English version of Office 2k3. This is a royal pain, mostly in Excel, all the functions being in Dutch on my copy. Now my question is: Can I download (or buy?) the MUI package separately and upgrade my Office copy with it, or is Bill Gates too greedy again and do I have to buy a whole new copy?I've been looking all over for an answer on this one...

Same Problem With Hosting Credits But now Iv documented it.
Carson replied to DeM0nFiRe's topic in Web Hosting Support
I have a question about this myself. Yesterday I had 2 credits, and today im down to -16. Now, yesterday I made some large topics and got 10 credits for them. One was in the tutorials section, so it was set to invisible automatically, and needed to be approved. If my topic was deleted, do I lose the credits I earned from it? Now i need to get 19 credits to un-suspend my account... people rely on my website. I'm losing members here. -
I have a logitech wireless keybaord(Got it a couple of days ago) and it works absolutely fine. I dont know if its mircosoft or not, it hasnt got the word "microsoft" printed on it anywhere. There is no lag with it. Maybe because it is new. Maybe you should check your batteries or replace them. You can goto the shop you bought it from and replace it cant you? Get one thats not microsoft and see if thats better. Or just ask a shop assistant about what you should get.

Being a huge final fantasy fanatic (and one which could never actually afford any FF games) I decided to buy the fairly new final fantasy 12 (XII). I've heard alot about the battle system such as that it is very slow, and has a kingdom hearts sort of feel. I've read heaps of reports but I need to know for sure what it's like by someone whos played it. Mainly the battle system but also the rest of it. Thanks.

I would suggest you join a sport you a interested in. You dont need to go searching the web to get a good work out, get fit, or whatever your goals are. There will be friendly sport groups you can goto, and if you get confident enough you could play competitively, and this is a great way to exercise. Or you take the easiest option, and do running. Most people enjoy running. Its simple and free, and great exercise.

I hear these sorts of stories about the US legal system all the time. How many people have successfully sued god now? You would think they would do something about this. Make it a law that you cannot sue god or something. Is it true that you can make a living off running in front of cars and sueing the drivers in America? Now thats funny.

Hopefully this topic will be helpful for those who are running low on diskspace on their Xisto account, or want to upload large files, such as media etc. // link list snipped //

Weirdest Thing In The World How could this be?
Carson replied to TypoMage's topic in General Discussion
They say if it is true or not at the end dont they? What did they say?I once found a bottle in the creek that ran through our property. On the not it had a story, and was signed by this girl, with her address. About two years later I started highschool, where we all get put into classes, and these classes become form rooms(Or home rooms), until you leave school. About half way through the year, this guy in the class was talking to this girl, and she asked her where she lived, and she said that street name. I suddenly remembered the name on the note. I found the note so long ago i couldnt remember exactly. A couple of days later I approached her and asked her about it, and it turns out that was the girl who wrote the note. And she was the same age as me, and we ended up in the same class years later. So i guess these things can happen. But with this story, i think there are too many coincidences. I don't believe it.
