Advice On Eliminating Audio Noise, Please?
lacking_imagination replied to banjosforpeace's topic in Hardware Workshop
Do you have a current generation cell phone (wireless web, blue tooth, etc)? I notice a ton of speaker and monitor interference when ,y cell is transferring data. turn off your phone if you have one. Also, try using an optical or ball mouse. The trackball could be the problem. Also, I would suggest checking the cables. Hope I helpedAaron -
I think its called renderware. That's what gta 3 was made with. I would just google it and see what you get. I'm not sure on the price. Plus you'll prob need a full developer team. Good luck

My Own Os Good Idea
lacking_imagination replied to givn1405241478's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well, I would say something like this:10 print "goodbye microsoft"20 goto 10That would work for me. Especially if that's all it did. It would never crash, and I would be happy. But seriously, I like the graphical interface of the linux theme for windows xp, so that would be cool, but without all the crashing 24/7 I just want reliability and compatability in an os -
In order to make more sites sidekick accessable/sidekick friendly, a theme has been designed for phpBB. All it takes is a simple download from http://hiptools.net/ (not .com) and it needs to be uploaded to the board theme folder. The sk friendly theme is almost completely text based, so there aren't as many pics to load and it makes loading faster on the sk's. I'm planning on uploading it within the next few days. PeaceAaron

full flash sites good or bad?
lacking_imagination replied to r3d1405241470's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well, for those of us in the mobile community, flash really sucks. if you have a pda phone, congrats, you are lucky, except the flash has to be formatted for each certain phone to work right. And how many templates for mobile phones are there? too many. Plus, if you don't have a pda phone, and you have, say a tmobile sidekick, flash isn't even remotely loaded. so, you miss naviagtion and sometimes full websites. Thats my opinion.peaceaaron -
The only side effect/ problems I've had with caffiene is addiction and withdrawl. Other than that, as far as I know, caffiene has no other 'problems'. I once downed a starbucks double shot espresso and 2 red bulls and felt fine- for 40 mins. Then I crashed. Another time I took 8 caffiene mints (2 equals a cup of black coffee) and still felt fine. Also, a few years ago, I used to drink a pot and a half of coffee every day before school. It all depends on your body and how well it works for you. I'm no doctor, but other than headaches, I've had no trouble with caffiene.PeaceAaron

Action Scripts Flash Animation
lacking_imagination replied to avalon1405241471's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I thought AS was only for flash programmers, but i could be wrong. I'm not sure, but i dont think they will have any use if you are not a flash programmer, anyways, check out http://www.flashkit.com/ for AS and Flash tutorials. Action Script is the coding language for flash -
Neverwinter Nights NWN Online, modules, and expansion
lacking_imagination replied to prs's topic in Computer Gaming
I played it, but I gave it up for star ocean: till the end of time on my ps2. I just don't get into nwn style rpg. That's just me, though. It is pretty cool. -
well, is gta:san andreas an rpg? its kinda like an action rpg. Well, other than that ff9 then ff7. best 2 games. ever. 9 has the best graphics on a ps1 and 7 had the best storypeace aaron

The Career? Overrated, overplayed (I listen to cd101 http://cd1025.com/ and they dont plug stuff, but U2 gets old even there)The musical evolution? what was the quote? F*** the mainstream. we're the most alternative band. Was that the quote? Alternative bands do not get best rock song grammys. they get best tv theme (they might be giants) NO MUSICAL EVOLUTION HERE, PLEASE MOVE ALONG, NOTHING TO SEE What do i think of their last album? Both singles.. yes i said both... are overplayed. I don't really like U2 at all For, me? the best album is any one they didnt have a part in. But that's just my opinion Peace Aaron

Well, i use Both sometimes. I use photoshop ONLY for the sponge tool to desaturate parts of pictures. Then go to photoshop, use the polygon select tool and cut parts out and layer them onto other pictures. I don't photoshop, i photoworks Anyways, i would suggest using both, and seeing how you like them. i started in fireworks and !found! Photoshop on my pc, but the saturate can be done if fireworks (i found it last night) but to only desaturate part of it you have to polygon select that part and find it in the Effects, i think. Well, hope i helped!Peace Aaron

I have determined why people still use windows. They are afraid of change. They can't handle a computer that works for more than 5 minutes at a time. They like having a huge new update where everything is changed and the old stuff is no longer supported, forcing you to upgrade. That's why i use windows still. if my computer actually worked right, i would poop my pants hope you found this funnypeaceaaron

We Need Tutorial
lacking_imagination replied to minnieadkins's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Instead of using PSP or photoshop, check out macromedia fireworks @ http://www.adobe.com/ I think it has an easier interface, and it is so much deeper that photoshop. I use all three, and all i use photoshop for is just the sponge tool to desaturate photos and just make certain parts black and white. It can be done in fireworks, but it takes a few more steps. It's worth checking out, though.PeaceAaron -
I believe it it illegal, under current copyright laws. But, so is p2p sharing, roms, warez, hacks and cracks, and a ton of other things that people do online, but other than napster, no one cares. Check http://www.flashkit.com/and check their tutorials for games. If you want a click to punch and do damage game (like mike tysons punch out for NES) check http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/ Peace Aaron

Best Fps Ever! what do you think is the best fps ever?
lacking_imagination replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
Ha, ha... When I saw fps, I thought frames per second... Man I'm stupid. I really like ut 2004 and goldeneye, but XIII was the most innovative with its cel shading and comic book styling. That's my opinion, anyway -
I don't see where I have a problem with that. I'm running a nvidia geforce 4. I found a website and it said its the best for overclocking. This is really weird...Peace Aaron

I think it would be nice if email accounts here were pop accessable. I surf through a tmobile sidekick 2, and believe me, its impossible to check my email through it. Pop would let my sk mail client access it. It might be worth looking at and might bring more people inpeaceAaron

I think I was overclocking my soundcard too much, but I have an abit motherboard with an AC'97 built in! I slowed it down so the increase was only to 1.98, but sound was choppy, but I had sound. Is there any way to fix this? Please help, I would like ut2004 to run a little more smoothlyThanksAaron
-
This is odd... I overclocked it and got it (p4 1.8 ghz) running @ 2.98ghz (!). Temp is stable @ about 45 celsius, and all is well, but my sound refuses to work. It says another program is using it and it just rebooted on its own. I reset the defaults and it works now, but I want it overclocked with sound. Is this a voltage problem? It was running fine with standard, save the sound problem. Please help!

Well, I downloaded a demo of it, and the next day I uninstalled it. I think ill just stick with flash. It actually lets me have 'some' control over what happens. I think ill pick up c+ again, tho. I like its usability. Thanks y'all

In my opinion, system of a down is about 85 percent metal, 5 percent rap and 10 percent rock. Its a good mix and they kinda reinvented metal, giving it a somewhat new approach/sound. If I remember correctly, they are also kinda political, but I don't remember(boom?)PeaceAaron
