  1. Personaly, I've read a lot on this subject because I have found it interesting and a bit controversial. I have read many recent documented accounts which state events of past-life regressionj amongst younger children. In many of the cases, the child, around the age of 4-11, would demonstrate odd behaviour claiming that their family is not their family, they would talk about a loved one, or say things that a young child shouldnt know or that just don't make sense. Kinda creepy, huh? So the families would take their children to specialists, and talk to the child one on one and gather all the information the child is claiming. Then the doctor would find that family which the 'reincarnated spirit' would have allegedly come from, and they would talk to the family. The family would talk with the child about things only they knew about, and all the facts in every case we're confirmed. I found it to be very interesting, all this recorded in recent history and still happening around the world. Now, without a doubt, I am sure there are fake people claiming to be able to read into people's past lives. I suppose it would be hard to determine that sort of thing, as the validity of it. Personally, I wouldnt waste my money on it, unless for whatever reason i trusted the person and I was convinced in the validity of it. But I still find it an interesting subject...
  2. From what I have read and gathered from other people is that an ati graphics card would work best with an amd processor, and nvidia works better with pentium. I have an amd processor, and i purchased a radeon 9800 and have been very pleased with the performance. I recommend an ATI.
  3. I strongly dislike pop up advertising... I mean, how many times does one actually click on an ad (and I don't mean by accident)? With new windows updates, a lot of pop ups are blocked by default. But I have noticed still that many people's computers are being slowed down by spyware and such to the point where clicking on the IE icon would mean certain death... One method I've noticed to stopping the problem is not using internet explorer as your default browser. I downloaded Firefox, and have had no problems since. However, if you use firefox, you have to download all the plugins and such, which is a bit annoying but everytime there is a file on a webpage that requires a certain plugin, it will offer you a link to download it, so the issue can be solved. Also, it is open source. There are hundreds of pop up blockers and spyware removal tools. I use Adaware 6.0. It works OK. I found this site to be rather helpful when dealing with windows security issues. They have an extensive directory on other usefull tools, including linux security. I hope it will be of help... http://www.astalavista.com/?section=dir Please share other things that you might have found useful!
  4. I might need some help/advise with some partition issues of mine...My situation:I have at the moment 2 partitions on a computer, one is boot and the other system. I initially partitioned this drive so I could use linux and windows on the same pc, but i have since reformatted the drive. When i reformatted and installed windows xp, i was not able to recombine the 2 partitions back into one, because one of the partitions had the xp installation files on it. My question:How can I recombine the two partitions back into one? and Can I do this without having to format or erase my files, such as through any of the partitioning software mentioned above? Thanks
  5. Here is my opinion on the use of flash sites and how i feel about visiting them, for what its worth.Flash is a good program. But it does have more uses to it than the construction of a completley visual-oriented site that takes forever to load. If you have a faster internet connection, and/or a few minutes of time, it does look nice. From a viewers perspective, It is more or less impressive and professional looking. It seems every fashion designer site is using flash extensivley (http://www.robertocavalli.com/us_en/). I'd recommend an all-flash site for someone who has little content, but more pictures and sounds. But if you're trying to reach a broad audience with information, I'd advise using less flash. I find that a flash site is more annoying to update, even using macromedia. Personally, I like to combine flash with html and other scripts. It is quicker loading, it allows the presentation of more information and content than a full flash site, and still could have the professional look and feel to it.
  6. Anyone play Neverwinter nights? I'ts an RPG based on D&D rules... pretty interesting story lines and plenty of expansion material available. Also a large diversity of online servers are available for free. Most of them, in my opinion, dont seem to be too dynamic, but theyre good for a social atmosphere and group adventuring...
  7. Yes- I have to say that Morrowind III is one of the best RPG's ive played. Its incredibly rich and involved, and you can play literaly for countless hours. I cant wait till the new one comes out!
  8. Has anyone heard of Lindows? It's an interesting concept- I had it on a computer when it came out, its sorta a mix of windows and linux. I didn't like it all too much, but then again i havent tried any further developed software so i don't know what its like now. ------------------- prs: Try not make one liner posts or 2-3 consecutive posts on the same topic.. use the edit feature instead and add in to your old post. Flash Games

well... it doesnt seem to be as bad if you're only taking apart the file to look at how it was constructed, for 'educational' purposes.
