Worst Game Of All Time wats the baddest game of all time
lacking_imagination replied to chief91's topic in Computer Gaming
I played runescape one time. It was the suck.I personally liked red/blue/green(japan) pokemon games, but that was it. Beyond that got rediculous. It was nintendo's last ditch effort to regain their lost final fantasy fanbase.Worst games ever?Prisoner Of War (PC)... Looks like a WWII third person shooter where you're escaping from a prison camp and everything, but its not. You're just escaping. The closest thing you ever have to a weapon is rocks you can throw to distract the guards. And worst AI ever! A guard could watch you crawl under a truck and then just give up!Republic: enter the revolution (PC) I hate that game. It looks so pretty, but its less fun than waiting on your sim to get home from work. Most movie based games. You either know what's going to happen (if you've seen it) or you're going to spoil the movie. Plus, production times are low to beat/meet the movie release.Revolution X, the Aerosmith game someone else mentioned...Destroy all humans... Interesting design. Funny at times. Way too short (less than 6 hours for a $50 game)Then there's shaq-fu... Qbert... Halo... Triggerman... Any anime based game... I didn't like doom 3 either, too predictable... That's about it for meAnd Pump It Up. Worst dancing game ever. -

Ups Vs Fedex A vent concerning postal shipping.
lacking_imagination replied to Cerebral Stasis's topic in The Vent
FedEx policy is that they won't leave a package, it has to be signed for to complete it in the tracking system. They'll leave a note and come back. Now, UPS, as far as I know, will just leave a package (they left my $300 replacement cell phone on my porch, in a clearly marked t-mobile box, in the worst part of town.)As for the damaged goods... I work in a fedex shipping/distribution hub. What people don't realize is the shipping companies are very, very high voulme daily (our hub handles 23,000+ packages daily). Even if a packages is labeled fragile, it isn't always given the best treatment. Honestly, shippers need to pack better. Don't blame the courier, though, as it's 99% of the time not their fault. A lot of damaged goods are either that way when they are sent, or they are dropped accidentally in the hub, and not packed well enough to prevent damage. Also, late packages can be due to multiple problems... It can be because the shipper got it out late, and it didn't make it in time for the flight to the next distrobution center. It can be due to mislabeling or their label printer being dirty and the label not printing correctly. There are many reasons why packages can be late, but those are the main ones. Or there not being a person to receive the package. While the shipping industry is not perfect, a lot of the issues are from shippers using old/bad boxes and not packing correctly. -
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I didn't see anywhere else for it...Ok, my girlfriend got a 4 GB iPod Nano about a month ago. She had about 100 songs on it and one day they just disappeared. Her normal PC won't recognize that she has the iPod plugged in, and her stepdad's laptop will recognize it... But after she transfers all the songs, and she unplugs the iPod from the laptop, she loses all of her songs again...She talked to an apple guy, but they said she needed to do a system restore on it, but they didn't tell her how... And she can't return it because she got it engraved... Anyone got any suggestions?

Call Of Duty 2 Vs. World Of Warcraft nathankang0
lacking_imagination replied to nathankang0's topic in Computer Gaming
i would say comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges. two completely different objects here. WoW is a MMORPG, where CoD2 is just a FPS. CoD2 is very fun and realistic, and i would say it's one of the best wartime first person shooters out there. I haven't played WoW, but from what I hear, it is a really great MMORPG, in fact, I've heard it's one of the best. -
Google Adsense And Getting Banned....
lacking_imagination replied to Compute's topic in Search Engines
I see a problem with their ip tracking. I use a t-mobile sidekick 2, and our ip is only stored on the device. We are all routed through the Danger proxy servers (reparse the pages for us, since we have smaller screens.) and we all share one central ip (think wifi through a router with the seperate ids for each device). I've checked ip tracking websites, and it never matches the one on my device. So my point is, all sidekicks/hiptops are routed through the same ip. If a bunch of us go to a site, and <- snipped -> will they count us as spam?}} -
What Electronic Device Would You Take To Desert Island
lacking_imagination replied to cumar11's topic in General Discussion
My Sidekick2. I keep this thing with me constantly. Its a cell phone and it has full internet access (I'm on it now ).This would be my only device -
While I do hate metal gear solid's camera with a passion, they did explain why they kept it the way it was. The creator said that he wanted to complete the trilogy with it the way it was. Also, he stated that 3D cams give him motion sickness, but they were working on one and will be in MGS3: substinance as well as mgs4.I played the first splinter cell... I got to the mission where you rappel through a window and have to kill a guy and hide his body. Well, that's all the further I got. I kept losing for about 3 hours until I took it back to the movie store. Complete waste of money. I never tried the others because the first was such a turn off.Overall, I prefer MGS to SC.Splinter Cell: 5Metal Gear Solid: 8

Stem Cell Research Bush
lacking_imagination replied to Fred Hatamian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Extremely unlikely indeed. In fact, its against the law for him to get reelected XD But to the topic at hand... Cloning is not needed to get stem cells. Stem cells were recently discovered in hair follicles(sp?). I can't remember where I saw the article, I believe it was a popular science. The "destruction of new life" is a very touchy subject, as people often have different ideas as to where life begins(IIRC, some politician a while back said its not a baby until it leaves the hospital O.O). That's usually a tough argument, as people also have different opinions as to what it is to be alive. I see no problem with using stem cells from hair folicles, as it is truly the only non-controversial way to do it, as it doesn't disturb human life. Who knows where this will go in time, though. -
If we're talking gams that are crappy, and they're hard because of that, then look to Swagman or Steel Harbinger for ps1. Those games sucked to much and they were essentially impossible to play due to sloppy control schemes.I personally can't finish FFX, as there's no world map, and therefore, not a Final Fantasy game XDHardest game, as in challenging?Resident Evil series. 4 is really tough on Normal, and I probably couldn't feel my way through it without a guide from gamefaqs...Other games that stick out:Dragon Warrior(Quest in japan) for the NES. The remake was easier. :)Star Ocean(Super Famicom) and Star Ocean: The Second Story(PS1). The first is hard due to the fact I can't read japanese, and the second is just plain tough when you get to the end. Best action RPG ever, as levels don't stop at 100 (250 is max, I believe.)The Suffering on ps2. Mainly because it was just so creepy.Driver for ps1. It was just hard without codes

What a lot of people fail to realize is that video games ARE rated. And the highest rating that most stores sell is "Mature". While I'm not saying that 17 is a definable maturity level, its a start. By then, people should know the difference between right and wrong.Personally, even as an avid gamer, I don't mind the laws in delaware stating you have to be carded for mature rated games or the store gets majorly fined. They've been doing it for R rated movies forever. Its about time that the laws start supporting the established rating system (ESRB).Which brings me to another point. Games are rated for a reason, just like movies. In fact, games are much more violent than movies. And yes, you do have direct control over it. But the games are rated so people shouldn't play them until they're MATURE enough. Nobody is exempt from reading. Strong Sexual Content and Strong Language mean that it probably isn't good for a young impressionable mind. Hence the rating system.I'm not saying that video games make people violent. The violence comes from irresponsible adults selling violent materials to minors. Never have I wanted to walk into a room full of people, whip out a BFG and clear out the room. Resident Evil 4 doesn't make me want to blow peoples heads off to see if they're infeted with a parasite so I can kill it too. GTA has never made me want to steal a car.Because I am "mature" and understand the difference between right and wrong, fantasy and reality. And why is GTA always blamed? You don't learn how to shoot a gun when a game has lock on targeting. Time Crisis is the game we should be blaming, if any.

*sigh* fanboys galore. Both systems are good for what they do. The DS is innovative, but most games don't take full advantage of it, and the selling point is an over-glorified tamagatchi. The psp is good for console quality games, yet most of them are exactly like their console counterparts.Pros for the DS:-touchscreen-microphone-wifi-tons of gamesCons for DS:-most games suck-clamshell design is known to break -touchscreen is unresponsivePros for PSP:-movies, movies, movies-most games are at least decent-has the ability to run homebrew-music player-katamari damacy (japan release: dec 22, 2005)Cons for PSP:-cant see the screen in any kind of light-speakers suck-not many games-battery life while watching movies sucks-analog "nub" is so-so-sony makes firmware to block homebrew -dead pixels-Smart BombOver all, I think the good far outweighs the bad when it comes to the psp, but I can't see more than $200 for it (I got it used )The Gamepark GPX2 looks sweet, its a linux based handheld with loads of emulators, doom, and quake right off the start, also has tv-out. Not bad for ~ $180. It seems like the best handheld so far.

I think y'all were slightly missing the point of the article. It was showing similarities between the Dreamcast and the 360, not comparing them. They both do have a lot of things in common.I personally thought it was hilarious. But, meh, I'm more of a Sony person...

Why I Chose Trap17 as my free web host
lacking_imagination replied to Professor Kirby's topic in General Discussion
I came here because I'm not geeky enough for Xisto XDBut really, the site is the best free web host around, I have yet to see any free host with this much uptime... Plus it's ad free. It doesn't get any better than that (unless they offered domains too ) -

Ok, we got a new device update.Time to change my review of the sidekick.AMAZING. We now have javascript support, the web is so much faster. We now have colored text and backgrounds...But still, some flaws are the same, no java or flash support, we can't save our own ringtones (because T-Mobile locked that feature... )... Xisto looks beautiful now, but I'm not sure if I can log into cpanel (I'm not hosted yet). And we still can't download apps and games that aren't in the catalog. All in all, the device is great now, and I'd give it a 8/10. Definetly a good device. And firestorm, I doubt that you have it with another company, as you can't use data service unless you're on the original provider's service (t-mo, suncom, fido, starhub... Etc...)

Ok, my brother was playing a game (muppet treasure island) on my dad's pc.The pc is older, pentium 2 333 mhz, 2.6 gig hdd... in other words, expendable crap.Well, there are a bunch of notes he kept on the hard drive, and we currently have no way to retrieve them...The computer will go to the windows 98 loading screen, the light for the hdd will light up constantly on the case, and then it reverts to the startup mode list... It took me a while, but I got it to boot to command prompt (safe mode), but I can't do anything from there. The computer was never online, so there is no chance for a virus on it...I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what's wrong? The first time it gave me the "continue, abort, retry, cancel" message, and others it has said either "cannot access drive c" or "drive c is not readable"If anyone has any ideas, either reply to this or message me on aim @ acousticemoboy or on yahoo @ abc223_86Thank you very much,Aaron

I actually wrote about this a while back in the "other game types" subforum. It is an amazing game, and one of my top 5. Not sure which one, but its there... Heh, anyways, katamari damacy 2, or as the japanese title is, everyone loves katamari damacy... (Please ignore the subliminal messages)... Is due out, I believe, in september or november... I can't remember exactly...I just know I can't wait. This is definately a buyable game. Lots of replay value here

Blu-ray Disc Anyone heard of it?
lacking_imagination replied to Xacrosancxion's topic in Science and Technology
I don't know about this... I read some stuff about it with the PS3 possibly using it, and the website claimed it wouldn't read PS1 discs or something, and that these new discs would bring the infamous disc read error to the ps3... Eh, not sure if I trust it. It sounds too good to work... -
Ps2 Vs. Xbox Vs. Pc
lacking_imagination replied to Glockmeister1405241492's topic in Computer Gaming
My vote is going for the gamecube... Wait... That's not a choice. I like the gc best. The graphics (which you must understand, is about 90% the designers and programmers fault) are extremely smooth. You could argue that they have no 3rd party support, but in my opinion, the first party games (except kirby's air ride... Why must they torture us?) are very well made. And using only 1st party games is great quality control. Sure, the game selection is limited, but with the exception of kirby's air ride, all the gc games have been really good. I'm hard pressed to think of 5 bad gamecube games, but I could probably think of 50 ps2 games right off the top of my head. Also, you may say "what about ps2's selection?"... Play all three ratchet and clank games. Its all just a rehash of the first one. Sure sony has final fantasy, but that's all that comes to mind as "exclusive" but they're going back to nintendo (or so it seems)... And pc... The computers are always obsolete.. Heh... -
I ddr.. I'm not bad. I just haven't gotten around to posting about it hahaha...
