What Is Your Favorite Zelda Game?
lacking_imagination replied to rhodesian.dragon's topic in Computer Gaming
I, personally, will always love links awakening for the gameboy. The remake sucked, because they took out the warp glitch. The story line was deep, and I've replayed it somewhere close to 20 times, completely beating everything in it, plus a 3 hearts no deaths win. Definately a keeper, and if you have something older than a DS (darn you nintendo) you can enjoy it on the road. -
I haven't used it yet, but it sounds promising... I still just use google. It loads the fastest (dial up speeds on wireless web) so I usually don't even bother with anything else. I should give this a try, though...Peace

Can't Login From Some Computers...
lacking_imagination replied to madcrow's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hmm... I actually can only log in at school. My library has it somehow blocked and also i can no longer log in from my tmobile sidekick2. i used to be able to, and could edit html from it, but now the security here is increased, so that could also be a problem for you. -
Is it possible to stream music from an account here? I would like to upload some music for my xanga, but it will take a while to try it myself, so i was just wondering if anyone else has actually tried it. Thanks!Aaron

lacking_imagination replied to saxsux's topic in Search Engines
Wow, that was an interesting SE... i kinda like the cluster thing... something Google will probably notice and completely rip off sometime in the next few weeks. I like it, but i'll probably just stick with Google. It is an interesting design, though -
Ps3 And Xbox Coming Out Soon
lacking_imagination replied to darkool's topic in Websites and Web Designing
*sigh* when does the Nintendo Revolution come out? i saw a screen shot for it on another forum(yes, there are others than Xisto ) and the screen shots for Xbox2/next/360/crap don't even touch it's awesomeness. it was photorealistic. Plus the ps3 is supposed to have 4 built in wireless controllers. rechargable, even.Disc Read Error. Please insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disk. Those are two things i want fixed on the PS3.Also, I thought they were both due out for christmas 2006? -
Adobe Acquired Macromedia!
lacking_imagination replied to jedipi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah, i hope they dont screw up Fireworks by putting Photoshop tools in it.. hahaha... I use both Equally, so a photoworks would rock. it would save me from hopping back and forth resaving every 10 minutes. if they can put the filter effects in photoshop from fireworks, while leaving the rest of photoshop untouched i would be in photo editing heaven. -
Super Mario Bros. The Platforming Classics
lacking_imagination replied to X-Wes's topic in Computer Gaming
There are still 2d platform-esque games, but for the most part they are all shooters. Check out Alien Hominid at http://www.alienhominid.com/ It is the console version of the flash game from http://www.newgrounds.com/ and is much easier, seeing as you can start from whatever level you lost on. Also, another sidescrolling shooter, while not as good, in my opinion, is Neo Contra. It just didn't have the cartoony feel of AH. Also, Alien Hominid is 100% hand drawn and animated. Not bad for a $30 independant company game. Along the lines of mario-esque platformers? Buy a super nintendo ... most of the major companies have long forsaken 2D as a usable viewpoint. -
Best Browser? Which one do you like the best?
lacking_imagination replied to Twistie's topic in Software
*sigh* I use a Mozilla 5.0 compatible browser unless im at the school, where i use I.E. The Mozilla compatible browser is the Hiptop2/Sidekick2 Built in web browser. But it has the features of I.E. 1.0. no java(script), no backgrounds, very little HTML formatting. no flash or animated gif's. *sigh* it sucks. -
w00t for the Aquabats. But seriously, they are excellent musicians, and their old drummer is Travis Barker of Blink 182. They have (i think) 3 cd's and one DVD out. The official site for the band is http://www.theaquabats.com/ and their new album comes out June 7th. their first 2 cd's are currently out of print (Amazing Adventures Vol. 1 and Myths, legends Vol. 2), but the fury of the aquabats is still in print. They are definately worth picking up if you like any ska or punk at all. It's a good listen, and very funny.

Well, I'm a guitarist, so I have rhythm experience, but I suck @ drums. The game is amazing. The DDR experience I have probably helps out too, but I can do most of the songs at the hardest level and I only play it once a week at the most. Its one of the best rhythm games and non musicians can enjoy the music. I still want to play taiko drum master for ps2, though...PeaceAaron

Microsoft Comic Chat
lacking_imagination replied to lacking_imagination's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I'm not sure... I haven't seen it since 3.1/95... I'd have to check, but since my computer doesn't have the internet I wouldn't know. It was an amazing program, though. I'll look for the program today and post my findings later -
Well, its nothing new, but does anyone remember comic chat from windows 95? I've been trying to find an xp version, but I'm 99% positive ms did away with it after 95. Its a pity. This chat program was amazing. You picked a character, and the setting for the room, and then you entered and it looked like a comic strip. You had a emotion wheel and each character had something like 8 emotions. You could select the emotion, type your message in and it would show up in the strip. Also, we banned people for this, but you could tie up a whole room by pressing enter a whole bunch of times. Every time you pressed enter, the character would scroll through the emotions. Since everyone only had dialup back then, that would freeze entire rooms. Fun meomories... Does anyone else remember this amazing program?

What Keeps You Occupied On The Internet?
lacking_imagination replied to harriko's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well, while I'm on my t-mobile sidekick, where we don't have java, javascript, animated gifs, flash, different fonts, font colors, background colors, background images or multiple browsers, my choices are limited. I tend to stay here, my xanga, and a few graffiti sites:http://www.woostercollective.com/ and http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ are other forums I visit but I usually tend to stick to comedy sites such as http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I am on a *real* computer, I tend to stay on http://www.gprime.net/ and watch movies and play flash games there. -
Crappy Games Pt. 2. Prisoner Of War
lacking_imagination replied to lacking_imagination's topic in Computer Gaming
I forgot... Expect to hear "perhaps this will teach you some respect" all the time, because you will always be in jail. Also, hold ctrl to sneak past anything. This has to be the worst $6 I've ever spent -
Well, I did it again. I bought another extremely crappy computer game. The first was Republic: join the revolution, which I reviewed on the "other" section. But this game, in my opinion, takes the cake for the worst game I've ever played. In POW, you are an american pilot shot down in germany circa WWII. You are captured and thrown, still in uniform, into the pow camp. You start off by having a guy walk up to you, while you are being held by guards, and start talking to you about escaping. Side note... All the guards are identical... Ok, well the guards don't seem to care that you are going to sneak around stealing stuff to escape. Most of the "action" should be done at night, so the guards can't see you as well. The game has a metal gear solid type radar that shows where the guards are looking. I still am a little confused as to how a WWII pilot acquired this technology from snake, but I'll overlook it for now. Anyways, you have to sneak by the guards, which is not a problem seeing as the goombas in super mario have more intelligence. You can avoid a guard by climbing under a car. They just look around and leave. Also, the german guards all have french accents. Don't ask why. They just do.The music is decent. Could have been much better, though. Sound effects were good, but not great.annoyances in this game: all the guards look the same. No matter what camp you are in. Also, the camps look the same. The maps do not tell you anything. Sometimes when you click the game minimizes. Right in the middle of climbing a fence or opening a door. Controls are sketchy at best. Camera is not fixed, but its attached to the mouse, so sneaking gets awkward. There is no combat in this game. The worst that happens is you throw a rock. And you get shot.Summary: this game is probably the worst game I have ever made. Except maybe republic.... Don't buy either.

Well, the idea is promising. I think if it would be used in computers, the speed possibility would be endless. One quick point to note would be their heat output. I'm only assuming this, but being a superconductor for electricty, wouldn't they superheat as well? That would require high end coolant, most definately liquid. I don't see these in the near future for casual computer user, but the uses for a server computer or a uber fast gaming machine would be spectacular. More uses, not only microchips/processors could be graphics cards, sound cards and other pc cards. I see a definate market to the gaming industry here for whichever console company gets to it the fastest.

This is an interesting game I found randomly online... In the game, all the cards are made up, either just prior to playing or in the middle of playing. This is the best rule set I've seen for it, and if you google it, you can find a random card server. Have fun! I forgot... Credit goes to http://ww2.chessthecat.com/?folio=9POR7JU99 -------------------------------------------- Merged. Sorry this forum is only for some new fact that you've learnt. Moved to Gaming forum.

Well, after a few more weeks of use, I have found yet more flaws. The internet/email/im data services were out for 4 days straight. Tmobile, as a company, sucks. They have locked the SK2 to be unable to save ringtones from email and also it is locked from outside ringtone websites. Another thing that is locked is multimedia messaging. The phone is not for ubergeeks, such as myself. The security on it is 64 bit at best. CPanel through Xisto (I don't have a site here yet) is completely inaccessable. While the sidekick seems like a nice gadget, that's all it is.

Religion Vs Faith (belief) Faith is often blinded by religion
lacking_imagination replied to spawn_syxx9's topic in The Vent
Well, religion is not so much a group of people with the same beliefs. Religion is a ritualistic term, i.e. to bate religiously would mean every day. Religion in christianity comes from certain denominations always structuring their services the same and nothing ever changing so it becomes a ritual. also, about the woman. she was stupid. A christian would have helped, assuming they were not just using christian as a title. a true christian would do anything for humanity, just as Christ did. People are just too caught up in the world of me to help their fellow man nowadays, so helpful people are never seen anymore. But i do understand your points, and this is one christian's view on the issue
