Yes, suspension is as the word goes.. All your account's features are locked and you are suspended from using any of them. That means you cannot use Cpanel & FTP.

Believe me, the only time there are delays are times when OpaQue is fixing it or updating it. Or else, there is no reason why the mycent script should be halted. Remember, the point of the patches / updates is to ensure no one is underpaid for their efforts... Besides you don't have to worry about bugs except for the amount you receive, it helps to keep a track of your mycent info using the emails you get and what your profile shows you. Bugs are generally caught and fixed by OpaQue BUT to ensure that there is no difference between the results when the script is run during testing & real time, we need the members' confirmation. You might feel the gap because you either post a lot once in a while OR posts are generally 3-4 lines which would mean, it would take longer to reach $1. As you all noticed, Mycents were recently not being deposited into your accounts. OpaQue was busy updating it and since the MyCent script has to be updated with each IPB update, it really does take time :(A formal apology on behalf of OpaQue about this lag, it really was not expected but with each update comes the nauseating task of checking & rechecking the code to ensure no member is underpaid OR overpaid his due.*** Now, this new update does nothing radical BUT OpaQue has changed the way MyCent is calculated PER post. There isn't really concrete information I can give about the new method of calculation BUT it is a fact that it is more quality oriented thereby making it much more difficult for spammers and illegitimate members to earn.*** Another important update is that if any member has an old post edited by a moderator / admin (Members cannot edit posts older than 15 minutes). That post(s) / Topic(s) WILL BE recalculated as per the new system. So, this is fair warning to all **Edit at your own risk** .. It won't do cataclysmic damage but chances are, you would get a small deduction since the new system deemed its quality lesser than expected.Of course, this thread is open to all members with any questions they might have about the mycent system. The Mycent script will be run regularly as before and members are requested to keep their "MYCENT UPDATE" Emails handy at all time.Those of you who feel that there is something wrong MUST report to Xisto - Support OR in this topic WITH the Mycent earning info (latest email & one before that).

Oooh students! How lucky, I think.. My Christmas was so wacky, I was supposed to complete a coding project and even though everything was right on paper, I got no love from the program except for syntax errors.. It was horrible.. I had earlier planned on celebrating Christmas with a drink or two but ended up with a tall glass of Iced tea. I was tempted to make a good / bad behavior joke since Christmas is around the corner but in reality it is because OpaQue is tweaking the mycent script along with a lot of other things.I will be making a topic about the mycents and a few other things in a bit.. Give it a day or two, everyone should get their credit.. Opaque decided to tweak the script so that it gives out a more accurate amount of mycent.. Just some testing going on to make sure that people are not over compensated or under compensated

We are always happy to see you as top post sheepdog! The thing is that I have very often come to the forum only to have enough time for moderation or having a quick read. I hardly get the time or peace to post at the forums and out of sheer luck, I got the time to post after months of lurking around. Many of the major posters at trap were youngsters who have now grown into their own adult lives... And youngsters of this age are too busy trying to figure out an adult life to grow into My young cousins who should be enjoying fresh air are spending time getting grades and scholarships. Maybe some day, we'll again have lots of people to talk and discuss with. But genuinely, I feel that the people nowadays are too busy or too stressed to take a minute out to write a post..

Don't worry Mrdee, that host was probably for using his services or something. Window Live Mail is exactly like google apps right from the sign up down to the way it behaves. You can ask someone from Xisto - Support to help set it up but in case other members are curious, the link to the sign up is at :- https://domains.live.com/default.aspx It requires only 1 thing, a hotmail / live id which you can create for free. So if you have a hotmail id, sign up directly OR first create the live id and then do the sign up so that you don't have to do the verification and sign in process once more **rolls eyes** Another important note, unlike google apps where the administrator can change the password for his users.. Windows Live does not have that option.. Really insane I know. But in a bid to keep services "secure" they allow password resets only through the reset link where an email is sent to the live id you create OR a correctly answered security question... So please do not take this part lightly or else you will be left with no choice but to "delete" the entire email account and recreate it. Delete = bye bye emails. Once you finish the sign up, you need to add the DNS records for it. You can copy/paste these to Xisto - Support who can add it for you or if you are experienced enough, add it through the "Advanced DNS editor" in your Cpanel

Hi Mrdee,It is very important that you update your wordpress installation to its latest whenever an update is ready. The server your accounts are hosted on are SU_php based so you are quite lucky since all you need to do is click on the cute little button called "update"the hostname would be ftp.domain namethe username would be your cpanel usernamethe password would be your cpanel passwordIt goes without a hitch :)The only warning I will give you is that if you need to make sure your plugins have also been updated so that they work with 3.5. Many wordpress developers nowadays make sure to keep themes and plugins updated for a few versions ahead. It is best NOT to use an outdated plugin but it is required to keep your wordpress installation updated.Lastly If you are using a custom theme, when I say custom, I mean a theme whose source code you have modifed including .css , .php and any other files that come along. Keep a backup since sometimes a wordpress installation breaks a theme.But, trust me.. Almost every single time, it works without a hitch.

The best way to have your account cancelled is as yordan suggested, by contacting Xisto - Support.But chances are, that if you send a ticket first support will ask you to login to your client area and submit a cancellation request through there. Since typically, only a website owner has access to his client area(where you check invoices and mycent). So login to your account at Xisto - Support.com and add the cancellation request.In the cancellation request, specify 3 things :-1. Immediate / End of billing period - Immediate cancellation means that your account will be terminated once cancellation request has been confirmed by the user. End of the billing period would mean that your account would be cancelled on its next due date.2. Backup - Yes / No - Cancellation = termination of data so mention clearly whether you need a backup generated or not. Backups can be generated by you or by a support person. 3. Refunds - In the same cancellation request, specify your invoice id and ask for a refund. If one mail account were to get hacked, and used for spam, it would mean that every other cpanel mail user on the server would get blocked by other mail providers since the ip address would be the same. There are also cases where out of a lack of understanding or maybe intentionally, people would send scores of emails / newsletters / subscriptions / email blasts. And since recipient mail servers / filters play the number game, it would not matter how genuine your email is if you are sending a massive amount of them. The filters are configured to automatically block such senders, you cannot hire a bunch of people to sit and scan through mail queues 24x7... **Shudders** And imagine the performance of the server if 100s / 1000s of emails are being sent through it at any given point, people would feel the difference, worst when spamming occurs since it has the capacity to overload a server. The fact that even a major mail provider like Google limits a person from sending more than 200 emails says a lot about the potential damage spammers can cause. Along with the user related cons, you also have the performance related cons since cpanel is not as refined as seasoned mail providers like Gmail. So many nuts and bolts are involved in setting up a proper mail service xisto made the decision to remove cpanel email from its default list of mail providers keeping in mind the overall performance required for a happy experience Google won't bother the free users since their main target are now companies looking for large number of email accounts. I believe that google wanted to be both humanitarian & businessman by throttling users with the "10 users" limit hoping that conversion would happen and people would still be allowed to keep their free accounts, I am guessing things did not work out as planned. The alternative to Google Apps is their direct competitor Microsoft. They give you 500 emails with 5 GB space each which should be good enough considering the fact that you get 500 accounts. With this, you also get additional storage space on their own cloud network AND since it is microsoft, you get a much better versions of "Google Docs" Maybe sometime in the future, xisto will start once more offering Cpanel email once all the free services out there are filled with the abusive users HA HA HAHA

With Mycents, you can :- Buy Webhosting for as many accounts as you want Register / Buy a new domain from xisto Transfer your web hosting / domain registration from your current provider to xisto Buy other services like VPS, Designing, dedicated ips , ssl certificates, remote email hosting . If xisto sells it, you can buy it using your mycent Mycent is a type of payment option so the prices are same whether you pay using real currency or your Mycent points. If at any point, you cannot pay using Mycent, you can always use real currency to pay the invoice. However the opposite also holds true, if you cannot clear an invoice using real currency, you can post, earn and use the Mycents to pay the invoice. The only special instruction is that when you order something new, make sure to do it through your client area like JlHaslip mentions. Upon reaching the payment page, select mycent and it will give you the option to use your credit

All I can suggest is that you disable email notifications / subscriptions since you are a frequent poster at the forum You can always catch up with the new stuff by using the "View New content" button. Hi,In a perfect hosting environment, what you say about yearly php upgrades is a reality but since you are using a shared hosting service xisto has to keep in mind accounts that are still using really old scripts; Compatibility for all is the first thing that has to be kept in mind since we don't want accounts to suddenly stop working due to an upgrade :)Ideally, you should be inquiring about a vps for you.. xisto has some really cheap custom vps packages, I think there is one for $10 that you should ask about. There are unlimited advantages of having a vps starting with custom php / mysql , configuration, custom php.ini values, root access and dedicated resources for your account.

But you see, clients who are sent a password are expected to change it immediately, the passwords module is a feature primarily for you to retrieve your details.However, your point is genuine and I will forward it to Opa, see what he thinks.
