  1. I would definitly call someone to check it out. No animal should be stuck in a small cage. It's not really a good shelter if the animals are not cared for properly. Even if it is a no-kill shelter, if the animals are treated cruelly then it still is not a good shelter. It would be better to be put down than to be living a trapped and horrible life. It wouldn't hurt to call someone to come out and check the place out. If they find that it is a good place then thats great, if it turns out to be a horrible shelter than you made a good call. Either way your just trying to help out the animals and that's what matters. So I would call someone to come check it out.I hope everything turns out all right.
  2. It depends on how much you want to program in C++. I used a book, but it was a very old one from my dad and I couldn't use online tutorials because I was using dial-up at the time. I would suggest starting with online tutorials. Some tutorial sites can be very helpful. I learned OpenGL mostly from an online tutorial site. If you find the right website, you can learn everything you need. I would suggest going to http://www.gamedev.net/page/index.html because they have some affiliates that are very helpful and if you get good enough you can even participate in their contests. Hope this helps
  3. I could use some of those supplements. I tend to doze off a bit in class even though I try my hardest to pay attention. I hope that they find no problems in the supplement and begin selling them cheaply.
  4. I had found Xisto originally and had a hosting account there for a month or two. While there I had seen something about Xisto and when I was having problems keeping my credits up there I decided to come here and check out the topics. The topics here were much easier to post about so I moved. :Poh, I found Xisto through google though when I was looking for a free web host.
  5. hahaha!! love it, absolutly lovely. Thanks for the laugh. I like the last one.
  6. Wow, that looks really cool, I would sign up, but I have just recently switched email already so it would be pretty useless to switch again now, though great resource, its cool to have that much space
  7. Actually, your money actually does exist, its just that some is stashed away some place safe, not at the bank, and the rest is used to give out loans to other people. I do see how worthless money is, all money does is make people think that they are trading for something useful/ important; however, I do believe money makes things easier when trying to buy/ trade.
  8. I spend 30 to 60 minutes at the most on Trap 17. I get on to make some useful posts, then I get off. I have too much homework and other projects to stay on Trap 17 all day, even though I love the community.
  9. Now, I have not used inbox.com, but I did do a little bit of research and went to their website. It says that they offer 5 gigabytes of space with other neat features. This looks like a good deal, but without actually signing up (which I won't due to recent change in my email already), I can not tell how good the deal actually is. I currently use gmail, which I must say is one of the best decisions I've made. It's space is constantly growing everyday, but is around 2.6 gigabytes right now. It also has tons of features that tie into your gmail account. Google and keep track of your search history and guide your searches with criteria from previous searches. Also with a gmail account comes the google account where you can customize the way the google home page looks with a notes block, or a block showing recent email or even your horoscope for the day. Not only does it offer great services with your email, but it is made by one of the biggest online companies there is. The features are also very light weight and load very fast, so it is still a very good choice even if you have dial-up; whereas, hotmail takes 20 seconds to load even on cable. I hope this helps you decide which email to use.
  10. I think it depends on how your feeling and how many people there are. If you want a quick game, speedball is definitly the way to go, closer area, hurts more , but definitly fast pace; however, if you want a longer game with more strategy and you have more people, It's a good idea to play woodball where you can hide or bait, longer range also tends to create more sniping which can be annoying when you get hit in the foot from half a mile away. Personally, I usually play wood ball because I play in the middle of nowhere in a giant wash. I usually play in teams too so we make our plans and then go at each other, very fun. Some other games include capture the flag and last man standing. I've only played capture the flag once, it was with one flag, that was a very painful game because when you get shot you just go to the respawn point rather than get out of the game for good. In last man standing its a complete deathmatch where everyone is independent and whoever isn't shot wins.
  11. I use the computer almost every single day, so unless March 24th lands on a day where I'm out camping it is very unlikely I will be able to stay off of it for 24 hours. My entire career lies in my computer and I could not be able to go without it for a day (I know that's the reason they want this to happen). I believe in what they are trying to do, but as for me, I already know that I rely way to much on my computer, but there really isn't anything I can do about it.
  12. yea, i'v heard about the torque engine, they used it in Tribes, or the first 1 or 2 anyways. It's pretty cool, though I have never used it. I also think its begining to be outdated due to directx. Though I believe it is a great engine, I think directx engines are more powerful.
  13. Well I read and reread the article, but I see nothing that says Norton was hit with the virus. I don't like norton, but from what the article said, it was unaffected and your computer is still safe. Just thought I would point this out
  14. I think google may come out with anti-spyware in the future, but I think it will be part of the google account and just scan email. I don't think they will ever become an ISP because they are more aimed towards online software rather than providing internet; however, like Shigajet said, anything is possible with google, so I would not bet on it, but I am pretty sure they won't become an ISP.
  15. Could you be more specific? There are hundereds, if not thousands, of driving games out there. Each game has it's pros and cons and there are several different systems to play them on. As for me I would almost never play a driving game on the PC unless I had a steering wheel to use; however, I love the need for speed: carbon game for the nintendo Wii even though it is very hard to get use to. As for the other consoles, such as the Xbox and Playstation, I don't like playing driving games on them anymore because I have been introduced to the Nintendo Wii and could never go back to a regular controller. So if your going to say that "Driving Game is the best" you need to tell us which one, on what console, and why.
  16. hahaha, this is one of the funniest things I have ever seen, I am definitly sending this to my friends. Thank you very much for showing us this, it made my day. I hope you bring us more some time
  17. Well, in our day and age i strongly disagree with robot rights (seeing as there are no humanoid robots); however, in the future when they begin making robots more and more human the issue may come up. I do not believe robots that are just programmed to do jobs should be given rights. Robots that can be sorted under the "living" category should be able to have some rights though. For reference, to be "living" one must be able to think or process information, be able to learn, and have a fear of death. If a robot has these three qualities I do believe that it should have some rights to protect it; though, I don't think I would have the murder of such a robot a capital offense as if it were the murder of a human, but you would still have to pay for the damages of course.
  18. I really like the theme. The colors go together splendidly and you have plenty of categories to post in. I don't see anything wrong with the site except that there is only one member, but I'm sure that will change soon, very good job.
  19. I have just recently registered a new gmail account. So far I like it alot, I like the ease of reading the email conversations and the tools you can have. The only thing I have a problem with is that it seems to be less user friendly. I just came from hotmail and hotmail makes the email real easy to use, but with gmail I have a hard time changing contact names and stuff, I know it's still in beta and it may still be me, but I feel it must be said it is harder to use than hotmail; however, I still am not returning to hotmail, I definitly like the space it gives you and how that space is still expanding.
  20. very interesting, even if you are not aiming for runescape membership it is a great way to make some extra cash on the side, I never knew about this, I was thinking of making a website that would make some money off of ads, but this looks much easier, thank you very much for this.
  21. The current game on the runescape website is Runescape 2. They made runescape 2 the official runescape game a couple years ago and turned the old runescape into runescape classic which you can no longer create accounts for due to cheating and stuff like that, but old players of runescape classic can still play. There is only one version of runescape these days and it's runescape 2, there is no special runescape to play anymore.
  22. awesome, I've been looking for a simple shoutbox I could host myself. Thank you very much for this tutorials. There is one suggestion I would make though, a little more explination of the code would help for those who are unfamiliar with the code and would like to learn what each line does. Either way, thanks a ton for the tutorial.
  23. I live in the United States of America. I rate it 9/10. I love the freedom we get here and how we can choose what we want to be. I can say what I want to say about the government and not worry about being arrested or prosecuted. If I go to trial, it is a fair trial. The reason I didn't give it a full 10 is because the politicians we elect are not always the best candidates for the job. Bush was put in a tough position, but I don't wholly agree with the decisions he made after 9/11. The people running for office don't always speak about what they plan to change while in office, but why his/her opponent shouldn't be elected for office. Overall I believe the U.S. is a great country to live in.
  24. I collect old computer junk (well my dad did, then it got passed down to me). I just save them and part them, sometimes try and break them. I also collect computer programs (ones I make), they just sit dormant on my Hard drive half finished. I also collect state quarters, just in a jar, if I have a state quarter I put it in there.
  25. I would suggest counter-strike: source. It runs off of the source engine which has very nice physics and it doesn't look that bad either. There are lots of mods out there, two of my favorites being zombie mod and gun game, and it has a very large community. I think valve did a very good job with this game. Some pros to the game are:modabilityphysicsinteractivitysome cons include:you must be online to playno single player modeI hope this helps in your decision making
