There are some firefox add-ons that helps you speed up internet video downloads on your browser. You can download the add-on here. This plugin also grabs flash videos from other sites like myspace, facebook, vimeo etc etc. Try this add-on and see if you can grab the video you want. It should work in my opinion but if it doesn't then you can always go to those sites like internet to mp4 and avi etc. That will work as well.

6 Cool & Useful Google Chrome Tricks Historys Fastest Browser
mahesh2k replied to deadmad7's topic in The Internet
Google.com in english is nice search engine add-on for firefox. If you are using firefox with default google search then it always redirects to your local version. If you want to access wonder wheel and other US version features then you have to use the "google.com in english" add-on. I don't know if chrome allows this feature. I have not managed to work out with chrome on this issue for redirecting the search results to US page. -
6 Cool & Useful Google Chrome Tricks Historys Fastest Browser
mahesh2k replied to deadmad7's topic in The Internet
Yes, that search query to URL feature from chrome is cool. I wish it gets embeded in firefox. it may work similar but not exactly like chrome in FF. That is really a good feature that i miss on firefox. I second quatrux view on limiting the extra add-ons. They can embed some features in their browser and then compact it again but more add-ons will definitely slow it down. For example, ad-block plus strips out a lot of scripts and in turn slows the browser. Be it any browser firefox, chrome or opera browser etc. So there should be limit on number of add-ons. -
Forum & Cms Software Need help in selecting........
mahesh2k replied to livepcportal's topic in Software
You don't need CMS if you don't want to use it as along with blog. Just because it is discussed here doesn't mean you have to implement it straight away. I have checked the fluxbb installation on XAMPP but i found that it is much simple and better than mybb. Have a look at it. And if you want to go with CMS then why complicate things, wordpress is the most simple that can be bridged with forum. All you need to do is keep the header common on both instead of getting to much complicated. But anyway you have chosen mybb so good luck with that. -
Here in my school there is no compulsion to buy the yearbook. People buy it just only if they are leaving school etc. Price is pretty much the same like most competent school - 35$. I don't even remember asking for the money to buy one at home. lol. but during engg college i do have copies of yearbook.

Fastest Way To Loose Weight - And Keep It Off
mahesh2k replied to alberto's topic in Health & Fitness
Read the whole thread if you want to know the hints about losing weight. But don't just take advice from this forum. Consult to gym instructor or doctor before thinking about losing your weight. But for the sake of asking questions, you can read the whole thread before asking this type of questions. Hope that helps. -
I'm sure that new release of windows will force 32 bit users to upgrade their hardware. Most of the operating system after 2011 will likely to be 64-bit. Just my theory and there is no proof i can give for this. I'm just getting some hints based on some other operating system release. Windows 8 or whatever the name is likely to force 64-bit OS on market. How and which way they will manage this is not what i have studied so far. So have to read from the experts about this.

Internet Loading How to Load my Page faster?
mahesh2k replied to myQuestion's topic in General Discussion
By the way noticed one add-on for firefox, fasterfox. This speeds up the site loading on firefox. I don't know if the browser like chrome or opera needs it though. But you can spread about this add-on for those who are using firefox. It makes it easy to load multiple pages of same site. Firefox has add-on called firebug on which Yslow is programmed. Yslow can figure out why your site is loading so slow. try that. -
Forum & Cms Software Need help in selecting........

I head a lot about fluxbb and even seen the demo using softaculous on server. But i found vanilla forum to be better option. I can use it as CMS as well as forum. You can treat it like vbulletin. But it is not as good as that as it is free. So one more vote for the fluxbb. -
You can use perfectZ and Host2x as well. They are allowing free hosting without any catch for quite some time now. And yes both of these companies allow cpanel on their hosting service. Hope this helps if hostcell fails. Not sure since when hostcolor went paid but i used to try that site for free upto august.

Both OS are good. Without much security upgrades and Service Pack 3 i have managed to hold the system so far. I access internet from it as well. It is working fine for me. After using windows 7 i have realized that soon i have to switch to 7 anyway. I don't know when but sooner or later. It is one good OS with low RAM requirements still comes up with good graphics. There is no need to hurry for the upgrade though. So i'll go with windows XP for now but yes windows 7 is in mind.

I think you have already heard of black viper tweaks. I use these tweaks everytime i reinstall or fresh install my windows. This will help you speed up your PC. There are many tweaks mentioned on the homepage of black viper. If you want to track down some more useless services then you can check this. Hope this helps. -
I think sleeping two times a day will increase the laziness in you. I can tell you that from my experience. I find it really boring and some times get nausea because of over sleeping. I don't find it burden to sleep less but oversleeping is something i hate really these days.

Yeah. I came across some users like that on hosting review sites. Some users are using shared hosting for overselling small hosting companies inside it and failed to comply with TOS gets banned and they start to spread venom like that. There are some people hating hostgator as well.Xisto - Web Hosting is under downtime these days and almost every member can confirm it but saying justhost bans just like that or goes down isn't it odd or weird ?

Ubuntu, Kubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Released
mahesh2k replied to rvalkass's topic in Operating Systems
There are TONS of reason of choosing windows server as application server. In fact it is selected by many companies just for that. I'll not argue on network environment because i think that linux/unix over server environment performs better. No viruses ? I disagree. I don't know if my URL's will be stripped from reply if not then see these 4 links. 1. http://www.securityfocus.com/columnists/188 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_malware 3. https://www.linux.com/news/note-new-linux-users-no-antivirus-needed 4. https://www.linux.com/learn/myth-busting-linux-immune-viruses Numbers are low but that doesn't mean there are no viruses. Almost any popular platform carries viruses as they open SDK for interface with the OS. I don't know what you are trying to customize but i can assure you that OEM installations usually comes with pre-configuration and custom configuration software from single click interface. There are shell scripts just like in linux/unix to get things done. Besides Dell, HP are known for this type of windows configuration software development. Linux with any resource hungry window manager (gnome/kde)or effect manger like compiz easily gets crashed. You can do a lot with X11 but you are comparing linux with full blown graphics and whistles in modern operating system so X11 is not good excuse against AERO installed system or Aqua installed OSX. Speed ? yes. linux is faster in booting but when it comes to window management and application processing it makes no difference in comparison to other OS. If you're in hosting business like opaque then you know how this distro choice issue makes difference. there are some buggy and less maintained or overly tamed distros like gentoo, ubuntu and red hat. this is the reason people prefer CentOS/Suse etc for VPS and dedicated server setup. Simplymepis changed it's kernel 5 times from gentoo, ubuntu, debian stable and 2 more, so you can see that it is constantly under change and people if want to get things done don't want to go through changes of apps/kernel or license all the time. This release of X distro dropped this Y software and in next release something else in repository. There are license issues with codecs, commercial apps in repository etc. You need to understand that people use software to get things done and not to join some carnival to constantly put them into learning phase with each distro release. You may call windows users dumb but computer softwares are for making things easy and faster - it's all about getting things done at the end of day. Nobody wants to spend time hacking linux just to get little work done in 1 hour or so. You know the issue of Open source licensing can cause -especially after reading about google vs oracle and oracle vs document foundation fork. No wonder in few months OO will be replaced by libreoffice if oracle didn't revoked it's restriction on OO community. Put one commercial feet in open source world and some license rips you off. Unlike commercial softwares Open source community based softwares are unstable with things like license, freedom and persistence, support, ease of use. -
I didn't like the case to be honest. It looks very dull in my opinion. Graphics, HDD and RAM looks fine to me. Overall specifications are alright. Enough to attract any gamer or average power user. My personal turn off is the case of this model.

I like soundtracks from the horror/thriller or action games. It is usually techno or industrial soundtrack in these type of games. Resident evil has some excellent soundtracks throughout the series. Bioshock, fear and silent hill has some scary soundtrack in it. Oh and those sport games also come up with cheerful melodic dance soundtracks. NFS old versions especially had these types of soundtracks.

Ubuntu, Kubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Released
mahesh2k replied to rvalkass's topic in Operating Systems
If you're talking about mission critical environment where people make money, profit and userbase then linux is NOT the way to go. It saves money on building things but kills many small aspects of business where people need to be rewarded for work. Reliable ? Most of OEM windows installations never had that issue. Still using windows XP and have no major issue. Uptime ? not using server on daily basis so can't comment. security ? never failed by windows. speed ? fine. Never had issue with access denial for office 2007. not sure if it's office error or license manager error. Most of OEM installations never had such issue for me with office/OS. -
As far as i know MSE is not replacement for the antivirus. No doubt it catches most of the viruses but it is not effective against rootkits, malware and other browser viruses. I don't know how you managed to work with MSE. I do have it installed but i prefer to use it with NOD32, malware bytes antimalware byters and spybot search and destroy.
