I don't know how you guys can trust Blacklist & Fishing filters. I know i've seen spywares bypassed by many spywares and taken over FF & Opera. I think phishtank from OpenDNS have more URL's in the list than google but still even though we do something about site filtering, nothing is enough. Some Spyware do manage to get away from some domains. Some people do think that posting Domains on forums/or internet get attacked by Internet spam bots but it is absolutely wrong. Spammers access domain names list from registrars and they don't need to crawl forums/blogs for it.. But if you get your site out of google index/never posted URL on blogs/forums, and enabled akismet on your blog you can see within few days they can find you. So there is no such thing as Spammers can't find you.Now coming back to topic on browser, Opera even though maintains black list, Spy ware ".armadrax" able to bypass it. Test the same spy ware with Firefox and you can see that even it is bypassed from those site advisor list. Google chrome also maintains such site advisory list, but recently site called origional-search.com attached to that browser. So you can't trust site-filters for long time. There are some spywares attach themselves to Toolbars so try and avoid those toolbars.

I have to agree with you on some point. But Apple & MS are rivals but they share love-hate relationship. They can't stand each others presence and they can't live without each other. That is the reason MS is interested in deploying many technologies like .NET and WPF on Apple platform. But this year MS made surprise move by Joining Apache Foundation, which Open source enterprise developer network. There are plenty of successful products from apache which beats MS products by miles. After considering this facts they decided to join apache. Now you can see Tomcat/Spring will soon support MS frameworks. After Windows 7 maybe they'll import lot of features and kernel improvements into Windows Operating system for sure. All this is just about the future moves of MS but what i see from their attempts is people all over the world are moving away from MS and they'll not entertain MS products anymore in future. So sit back and relax to see if MS gains trust of people back over or continue to degrade it's quality in future.

Aaah my name is supposed to be popular in india and it is. But in US and rest of the countries i don't think so. That site is informative and lot of information about name. It shows how your name spells/looks in morse code language/braile/sign etc.Oh I missed Barcode version, that rocks as well. Name and compatibility type of crap i skipped on that site. If you think facebook is threat to privacy then what you'll call to Orkut? Facebook offers tight control on how your profile is accessed, who your friends are etc. On the other hand orkut profiles are viewable to almost any user. You can make albums/videos private but with grease monkey script hacks people are opening locked photo album. Because of this i moved my friends and family accounts to Facebook. I consider orkut more of underworld USENET community. Facebook on the other hand is much safe than orkut. Spammers are more on Orkut/Myspace than on Facebook. Fake profiles are likely to be easily created with orkut as it is notorious for it's crowd on the communities. So if you want to keep in touch with family friends etc by sharing pictures,videos then i suggest share only on Facebook instead of myspace/orkut.

Like it or not, YES in comparison to MS-Word, Openoffice is memory intensive. Well this is not possible always. As MS-office suite is spread across the world as MS lobby is still much active than Opensource one. I think people are trying to import ms apps files to other open source applications like abiword/oo/staroffice etc, cause we need to move to open source solution not to commercial one,isn't it? Then try printing PDF from that way. You'll see PDF rendering issues. Besides i'm not favor of MS, but i would like people to switch to OO. If these problems get solved, i'm sure openoffice is one good alternative over MS-office.

rvalkass: You're on Linux,right. That's why you're saying that It's hard for MS users to switch. I do manage to work with both these packages. But it's very hard sometimes, lot of formatting and losses

Yes. World without religion will be a best place to be. Because these days people with spirituality and cognitive thinking are claiming that "Science and Spirituality" should go hand in hand and blah blah. Why? Because they want to preserve their faith. Any faith with extreme views leads to violence so in turn every religion will have second face of terrorism/insecurity etc. People with spirituality will in future replace religious people and will try to modify science to make it something like "Pseudo-science". I'm sure even spiritualists will make science in favor of almighty galactus . It's hard to be in world which makes every conclusion as "almighty and its favor". So World without religion will be a better place.

OpenOffice Suite is good and works perfectly as replacement for MS office suite. But some of the problems i have addressed with Openoffice : 1) Slow performance: This is with RAM 256DDR, with 512+ you'll not face such issues. You can observe the loading time of word and OO writer to get hint. 2) Word Import loss: If you're importing file created from MS-word to Openoffice you'll have trouble with formatting. Sometimes if the Font is not installed in that machine then openoffice will pick the alternative font to render the document. You'll have some formatting issue with that as well. 3) PDF export loss: I've noticed that some fonts and images are poorly rendered under openoffice. This result in poor printing when you hit print option. One workaround to this is use CutePDF writer as print option from within openoffice. There are many such minor issues with openoffice which needs to be addressed. and i'm sure with community support those issues will be taken care in future. Only problem for openoffice is right now is "Lobbying from Microsoft" which restricts itself from its wider acceptance. Let's hope more and more people adopt openoffice soon.

If you can't access it then it could be DOS attacks (Denial of service attack) this is just a possibility. Second, if you can't open your site using the corrected URL then i think you're having problem with ISP(DNS cache i guess). One more point you would like to take into account is, Optical fiber near europe are under maintenance so many countries from Europe, Middleeast and asia are facing problem with internet. Some ISP's are having trouble with CACHE as well. Hope your ISP if have problems(?) will recover soon from it.

There are plenty of other service, i found this list of Smashingmagazine informative for Project Management.

Yes. I do own USB stick. I've 512MB for my use. And i gifted 2GB to my sister. Both these are of Make:Transcend. I'm not sure about Kingston's repair and customer support so I've holded my purchase of 8GB USB stick. So guys What about Kingston? Is customer support & Repair/damage policy good? I would like to add more to this: 1) Avoid creating Splog-sites : Means sites which are created specially for generating income from Adsense. Most of these webmaster simply copy articles from other sites and then add it to blogs and re post the article(slap few adsense ads on the page at top and bottom) They sometimes do add (Credit:) link at the end of article to avoid getting sued from original author. if you find any blogger doing such things report that site to adsense help center such webmaster will loose their adsense account permanently. 2) Avoid Plagiarism: Already explained few ways of plagiarism in earlier point, so what more comes to it? Content from Wikipedia and other article sites (with credit link at the bottom to show innocence) Google webmaster Spam index can find out such blogger and have developed effective algorithm to find out scraper sites. So beware before you post such content think twice. Also avoid keyword/tag crowd on your blog, if you wish to have readers to your site/blog. Overcrowding tag/keyword + adsense ads can make more clutter to your webpage/blog. So avoid over monetizing your website. Hope this info will help new bloggers & website owners.

I think you should try these three ways: First method: Contact Customer support of mobile & landlines phone company and ask them to stop calling. This method is likely to fail cause telemarketing people work in shifts and they'll call if shifts change. Second Method: Post a letter to editor in some famous newspaper or magazine, describing your problem and of course requesting newspaper company to not to disclose your name. Most of the time, such telemarketing companies likely to bounce back in wrong manner. Third Method: If above two methods don't work then you can file FIR to nearest Police station. That way, they will stop calling you. If Police/cops do some actions against them. But please do remember that people who call you in marketing company are humans like you and me, so don't vent your aggression on them. They're doing their job for bread and butter. So if you want to stop such evil & irritative marketing trick, try and hit the root of problem instead of hitting on branch of problem.

I recommend creating new folder for project in htdocs in order to avoid overwriting. For rest of the problem,i'll reply here soon. Let me try to reproduce the problem on my computer. Let me see if i can find workaround that way.

Hi enhu, if you're working on PHP files you don't need to go for step of creating mysql database etc if you're not for wordpress. If you want to test your PHP files. 1) Create PHP file with any text editor of your choice. then save it with extention .php. 2) Locate HTDOCS directory in XAMPP installation folder. 3) Copy-paste or save your php file in the directory "/xampp/htdocs/" 4) Enter this address in web browser http:// localhost:8080/ <name of php file>.php or LOCALHOST/filename.php 5) Make sure you've Apache service running in XAMPP control panel. Hope this helps.

Typical religious follower. So i know why people expect science and belief should go in parallel line. It is just because religious people want to preserve their faith on god aka galactus. . If science invents something that shows god doesn't exist, religious preachers will literally kill science related people. That's why pope attended Stephen Hawkins conference to avoid any such cases . and i know many more people who manipulate science in favor of religion in the name of spirituality and pseudo-science. History shows that religion is the one thing that is responsible for destruction of the world just like some people claim it had moral and ethic side, they forget to say that it have dark side as well. Region comes second after religion for the destruction of this planet. So with these two there will be war. It's not science that causes war. its use for the selfish religion and region preaching causes more wars. So think think think in way of science before you get afraid with it. Just because knife can kill can you stop using it for cutting vegetables? It's up to you to decide to live in barbaric era or go with science for better future.

Hi enhu, try this Installation tutorial I hope it helps. This tutorial still woks with current installer. If you've access restriction on Vista then you've to look for something on Black vipers system services hacks on how to work around with that. I tried that when i had problem with XP and XAMPP 1.1 earlier. If PHP/Mysql services are not starting up automatically then you've to start manually. Even i've this problem on XP, unable to find out workaround with this.
