mahesh2k replied to lennyg.'s topic in Health & Fitness
Yes. I love chocolates. I prefer ice-cream flavor as "Chocolate" and many other desert dish as in flavor of chocolate. I want to know which country produces finest chocolate flavors and want to visit it and would like to taste those dishes if i get a chance. :)I wish in future chocolate dishes will be available with sugar-free option so that some of diabetic friends in world who can't resist the temptation of eating chocolate will enjoy it. -
That's true but they can move their kernel to Linux (So that's like eating your competitor isn't it?) , just like apple did with UNIX kernel(i think it is BSD right). They'll not buy apple, cause they want apple to be in competition that's why they invested in apple remember the time when steve jobs was out of apple? I agree with you about Microsoft imitating Google's business models like cloud computing and Online services. Microsoft's investment on Hotmail is useless, i didn't find it attractive and worthy enough to use Hotmail now, besides their SPAM filter is worst of all.

Yes. Microsoft is here to stay. Some of the strategies they tried so far in this decade are as:1) When they found out the Java's capability to stay on multiple platforms they decided to toss .NET platform for windows. With 3rd party support (Novel) they are penetrating on Linux/Mac/BSD for .NET platform.2) To stay alive in open source competition, even they launched "Codeplex" and "Heroes happen here" and are attracting developers with free professional edition of VS/ and beta releases of OS and final releases of OS.3) Not just in the world of development, but they're promoting their business on blogs also. I remember that during Vista launch a blogger received a Acer Laptop for blogging about Microsoft products. this was another good attempt to attract bloggers as customer.4) With launch of Oxine, they're competing with Drupal, Wordpress on CMS platform battlefield. 5) Some of the upcoming technologies from Microsoft are Surface computing, Cloud computing and WinFS. We'll see at the end of 2010. So all in all, even though many of us hate their products and OS, MS is here to stay. When they'll realize they don't stand in market they'll simply eat their competitor and that's they call business strategy

Windows Vienna Microsofts Soon to be new OS.
mahesh2k replied to Variablez's topic in Operating Systems
Well i think Vista is failed attempt from Microsoft just like they failed with Windows ME. Windows 7 if have kernel improvement and less clutter related to drivers then i don't see any problem with windows 7. But With Vista we've seen more than 10 license models to purchase vista that was hell too picky for consumers. So more and more vendors are moving for Ultimate, Home premium and Business editions. With Vienna, they need to limit the editions or else same failure like Vista. Also they're facing lot of competition from Apple, Linux and BSD on market. Many hosting companies and customers are moving to Linux for reliable and secure hosting. MS can't stay in the game with .net and other customized software for long. But they need to focus on operating system a lot if they need to stay in the game of software. Again their moves of "Open source" software with codeplex and "Heroes happen here" was good, and we have to wait for more of their contribution for open source. So even though i love to work with Linux and Apple, i'm interested in Vienna and Surface computing technology from Microsoft. -
Points2Shop website currently accepts only Europe,Canada and US members. For the rest of the countries they offer only Promoter option from which they can earn dollar per member. I like that option as well, but promoting by targetting such members will need dedicated blog on make money or blogging tips.I don't see that possible for me to send them US/Eu/CA members using my current website. So i have to skip this site. Any site with similar function for global members?

For Visual C++ Compiler you can go to :- https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/visual-studio-express/ There you have to look for Visual C++ Express 2008. You can either install using web-installer or Cut DVD for yourself using available image for Visual C++. If you think VC++ installer is too heavy for you and internet connection then you can download the SDK from MSDN or obtain it from some Developer magazine and use Codeblocks/DevCpp to create Visual C++ programs using that SDK. Alternative to Visual C++ is Codeblocks, DevC++ and EClipseC++, Netbeans C++ port. Hope this helps. For links to these respective compilers, "search on google".

Negative Credits Old topic is closed :(
mahesh2k replied to TheDisturbedOne's topic in Web Hosting Support

I think 17GB instead of 17 MB would be fun. 17MB looks like days in 1999-2002 imho. BTW If any host start offering 17GB for free then that will be Overselling defintely. But in future, Most servers will do offer something like, because earlier in 1999-2002 we used to think 50MB/100MB as huge disk space, and now even 1GB is less if you're having Wordpress blog/Invision board installed on server.

The Younger Generation Is More Intelligent ! Do you think so ?
mahesh2k replied to OpaQue's topic in General Discussion
Evolution. Each one of need to find the problems and try to solve them. If we stop that this will slow our mind down. so if you don't want to stagnate then only option is to keep solving problems and keep working/modifying things for something better. Ideas/imagination no matter how vague all contribute to development of your mind. Kids are very good at this, till those kids 7-10th class in high school, they try all the ways to think metamorphically and that's what counts for progress. Once kids turned into adults, each of one them follow some protocol of society/religion/technology and mind starts stagnating. Some people do progress despite of that, but very few percentage of people manage to keep their head sharp like swiss knife. :)So coming back to question, i agree next generation will be much smarter than us. -
I read it on Chromium Google group that it is written in C++ ATL. But there is chance that it will be ported to Linux and Apple soon. Maybe version 2 will be available for Linux and Apple. Oh that means it will be version 1 for those OS's

If you're concerened about Drivers then try Mepis or Ubuntu/Kubuntu or Linspire. If you're having internet connection you can even get updates and drivers for some of your devices. My personal recommendation is to go with Ubuntu. If you're not sure about if you want to install or not, in such case try LiveCD for those Linux Flavours.

What Will Heaven Be Like? A place for new perspective
mahesh2k replied to asdftheking's topic in Health & Fitness
I know that,to tell you frankly that i'm in more trouble when i speak about science which torn-off faith/religion. So you've no clue how science people are treated in india cause here science needs to speak the language of almighty & spirtuality. Or else people simply isolate sciecne and science people and do more harm in your social life for favoring science. and that's not only for this country its applicable for every country. Highly religious people are scared when science torn-off their faith on galactus In fact you can see highly religious people do manipulate science in favor of religion. We have many examples here. So matter of fact is there are three social section based on belief. Some are in favor of almighty as theists, some atheists, some stay agnostic. -
Anyone tried Bux.to and Hits4Pay, if they worth a try? Very slow ways to earn money i think. One more such service that i afraid to try is e-mailpaysu which pays 0.002$9actual pay for every click) very low & frustrating to earn money using these resources i think.

I think its hard to earn money if each one of us waits to click on text-link of our set color. this has to be like "you scratch my back and i scratch yours". if everyone waits for their color-textlink to appear, whats chance that link its your colors text link?each one needs to click on link like without holding back. oh, i forgot to mention clicking on your ad is not good practice :)

@Inertialfate:Yes. Captchas use words and number combination to enter.some just ask for words and some just numbers.some captchas even use audio clip for disable web users.so audio-clip based captchas are easy to crack,so most systems avoid that.
