Well there are times when I feel like I'm still not over high school. I still feel insecure and even paranoid that I think people are talking about me. The most important thing I guess is to remember that THE WORLD DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU and that these people don't really think about you that much. They have problems of their own too and they have things that keep them busy. About the dating bit, I'm a girl and I've been to school dances in high school but I didn't (still don't) get the boys that I want. I doesn't help also that I can be ridiculously shy and timid at times and boys sometimes see me as ICY COLD and ALOOF. I hope things get better for you (for all of us, let's be optimistic).

haha! something like that happened to me in high school...well not to me exactly but to my friend and I was sitting beside him when it happened. We were in the library's internet section and my friend (he's a guy) opened a porno site. They have this big rule in the library that prohibits visiting porn sites and becuase my school was stupid they didn't take any measures to prevent students from doing it like putting up filters or at least pop up blockers. I think it was unintentional. He kinda clicked a pop up and all these other sites also popped up. He got in trouble for that one and I was also questioned. It's funny now but I was scared then, my friend also because he was running for class valedictorian. After that we sort of sensed that the tteachers were a bit affected and they became indifferent towards us. My friend still graduated valedictorian and I apparently graduated also with a good moral character. So that's that.

I just arrived from school and this was the news that welcomed me. It's pretty scary how a big city like London was targeted by these people. I live in the Philippines and we have our own political problem at the present but there was a time when all the news were focused on terrorist attacks particularly bombings in different cities in the country including where I live. It's very unsettling to go on with your daily activities knowing that something bad might happen to you or your family. I hope this people would stop and think of the effects in the lives of the people they've changed by doing this horrible acts of violence.

I don't know if anyone of you know MAEVE BINCHY. She's an Irish novelist and short story writer. I love her works to pieces!! I saw the movie Circle of Friends starring Chris O'Donnel and Minnie Driver once upon a time and I loved it. I waited for the credits to roll and discovered that it was based on a novel written by a certain Maeve Binchy. Naturally, i looked for that book and looking for it took me months. I finally got a copy from a booksale like a month later. Since then I've had more than 10 of her books in my bookshelf!

This is the code I use and nothing gets displayed still. I reinstalled the older version of MySQL that worked for me before but still nothing. I'm thinking maybe it has to do with the PHP version I have now installed or the Apache server.

I just bought a book 'SAMS Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL, and Apache' and it included a CD with installers of the 3. I previously had MySQL 3.23.54 on my computer and since there's a newer version in the CD I replaced it with that one. Everything worked fine and I even set permissions for users using the windows command prompt but the trouble came when I try previewing the pages I have. Nothing gets displayed when I view it in a browser (no tables, no error on the connection, nothing). I know that PHP works fine because I've tested out some PURE PHP pages, the only trouble is the PHP pages with MySQL queries. The pages worked fine when I uploaded them on my Xisto website but not here in my local PC. Does anyone know what's wrong with it and what has to be done about it?

haha! I had the same problem a week ago. School here just started and my body clock must have gotten used to my sleep-late-wake-up late policy of the last vacation.Anyways, if I can't sleep I usually drink water/milk and/or try to do a before-going-to-sleep peeing in the bathroom. If those still don't work then I watch TV or open my computer to do some things.

I think it's really nice. I find Photo-realism very hard to do but you seem to really know what you're doing. Good job!

I have a rather small family. It's just me, my older and only brother, my mother and my mother's bestfriend. My father died when I was very young and so it's only us 4. My mother's friend has been living with us and you can say that she is our second mother. My brother, who's a year older graduated from college March of this year and he left last week to work in Cebu (Philippines). It's very far from where we live and you have to take a plane to get there. It's lonely because my brother is not here anymore and there's a bit of finality in it. It's like my brother and I are plunged unexpectedly into the realm of maturity. My mother is okay if she's in a good mood and when I don't try to do things that annoy/anger her and my brother is okay too. Sometimes I even feel like an annoying and ungrateful sister to him but he's okay and I know he, my mother and An-an will be there if I'd get in trouble.

Hey how about putting images on a cell? I was given a code to switch styles on a click of button. So far I know how to change fonts styles and some background but I don't know how to change images within a cell. If I have a table with two cells with two different images, clicking the style-switch button changes the appearance of the page and naturally those two images.What's the code in CSS for images inside a cell/table? I really hope someone could help me out. I've been looking for this topic for days now!

I wanted to have a button that changes the skin/theme of my site using css and php. I've already had the php code for switching between two different css but I don't know how to put an image background for each cell using css.Can anyone help me? Sample codes would be nice.

I hate numbers and anything to do with them but i like language subjects and literature. I also like my computer related subjects but with the exception of assembly language and computer architecture.

Well, I'm actually pretty boring becuase I usually just stay at home and tinker on my computer or I watch TV. But when I do try to be active/athletic, I usually play badminton with some friends. I'm no good (at least not yet). In my elementary years and some high school, I used to play table tennis (ping pong) but I sort of never improved and my backhand is really poor, I do deliver a very fast serve though. That's about it! Oh and I watch football too but I don't play it.

I hate school as well. I'm having my second day of school right now since the semester here starts every June. Right now I'm just trying to GET/LEARN as much as I can about subjects that I think would benefit me more and those that I really HAVE to learn. I hate my minor subjects and I dread math but I learned not to put too much pressure on myself and not to expect too much also because whatever it is that I feel at the present, may it be sucky and depressing, I might just laugh at it 10 years from now. Also, there's a very good chance that I'll forget most of the things that I learned except for those of course that I apply everyday in the workplace.

You can add a blog. It's easy to put up and you don't even have to update it everyday. It's nice to let your visitors know what you have been up to. You can add a gallery. If you have a digital camera or a camera phone then it would be nice to show some of your takings of yourself or whatever you're into.You can add a shoutbox. A shoutbox is like a guestbook where guests can 'Shout' messages to you. There are some sites that offer free shoutboxes so you can put one up easily now.You can add a portfolio/tutorials page. If you're an artist you can put some of your artworks there and even put some tutorials on how you made them.You can add a links page also where you put your friends sites and your personal favorites in this page.Hope this helped.
