The Biggest Bank Robbery In Brazil 's History
cangor replied to The_Angel's topic in General Discussion
That's kinda amazing. Like the article says, it's like its straight out of the movies... And even though their fingerprints were on a phone they're probably out of there by now, and that's probably why they weren't that careful. They probably knew that the could escape over the weekend. Either that, or maybe it was just being dumb. Even some robbers who are that clever to dig a tunnel into the bank (which is just amazing, especially if you think about the planning) could have made such a dumb mistake. Though, I kinda wonder how they know that the fingerprints do indeed belong to one of the robbers. In any case, very interesting and amusing story, thanks! -
I'm pretty sure life is real, and you gotta face that fact, but I can see what you're saying. Life is a lot of "illusion" in a sense, but it's certainly not pointless. You may not like it, but you have to face it. Speaking of death as being a refuge is just hiding from life; make the best of life while you're alive, because you'll spend plenty of time in the grave.

Um, okay, well I would probably say when they enter high school (around 14 here in the US) is probably a good time, because if they're going out and need to stay in contact with their parents a lot then it's pretty handy. If your kid plays a lot of sports then it's probably a good idea for them to have a cell phone. Honestly, though, even in high school a lot of kids don't need one, they just get one because they're spoiled.

yeah, i think what you said is pretty accurate, jester... I mean, you might as well tell her, because, well, at least I believe that no matter whether she likes you back or not, you'll feel good that at least you did it, and in my opinion knowing she doesn't like you is better than not knowing at all. And, plus, it's absolutely true that she might have rather gone out with you, and maybe even likely, and she's just trying to make you jealous... I mean, she doesn't want to make you hurt, but sometimes girls do things like ignore you or tell you, "i'm hanging out with a guy friend." just to tell you, hey, I'm popular, all the dudes like me, so why don't you tell me you like me, huh? I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it's true. Just because she went out with this guy doesn't mean that she likes him at all, she could just be being nice.I guess what I'm trying to say is that you should just tell her, I mean, as long as you have good intentions, you can't really screw this up, as long as you're perfectly honest and open with her. Just tell her, "Hey, I think you're amazing and smart and beautiful and funny and I really, really, like you, and even if you don't like me back, I just thought I should let me know." And if she says she just likes you as a friend, tell her that you just want to be friends, but that you wanted her to know that. In any case, it'll be better in the end, even though right now your situation seems hopeless. Or else, if the other kid really is that much of an a**, just scope things out later and see if she still hangs around him, because any decent, self respecting girl won't hang around someone like that...Good luck!

I taught myself to play improv, and I can play pretty much anything by ear, but my music reading skills are not that great. Anyway, good luck learning and the piano totally does get the girls.

I saw this a couple of years ago, and while I agree the Chat thing is kinda dumb and it pretty much just tries to lead the conversation really weirdly, it's still pretty impressive compared to whatever else we've been able to come up with. It's definitely worth the visit.

I?ve read as I lay dying, I actually really enjoyed the book, though Faulkner?s writing style was confusing at times. I find it interesting how Darl, who is the main narrator at the beginning of the story and narrates about one out of every three sections, ?loses it? and tries to burn down a barn and his mother?s coffin that is in it. It just totally shows how much Addie?s (his mother?s) death could change who was at one time the most sane character in the story. Cash (Darl?s brother) seems to become the new main narrator of the story, which is interesting, because at the beginning of the story I found him completely dry and sardonic, and he barely had anything to say, but I think perhaps the fact that he was able to absorb himself in his carpentry saved him. Vardaman just seemed freaky to me at first, but his whole talk about ?my mother is a fish? just basically meant that he replaced Addie with a fish, and Jewel replaced her with a horse. The whole book is basically about dealing with tragedy. Dewey Dell of course was too preoccupied with being pregnant, and Anse just seemed to brush it off. The only person who actually tried to deal with Addie?s death mentally ended up going ?crazy.? (for those of you who haven?t read it, Darl, Cash, Jewel, and Vardaman are brothers, their sister is Dewey Dell, their father is Anse and their mother Addie died.) Cash draws probably the most important conclusion in the story, that basically, it?s not as easy to tell if someone?s crazy as one would think, and I don?t think Darl was really insane until he was taken away. It?s a fuzzy line between crazy and sane.

Lazy Posters My Vent for comments for Lazy forum posters
cangor replied to chaosdesign's topic in The Vent
Yeah, there was a topic about this a while back, and it does kinda annoy me. I mean, I always read the original post, skim the rest, and read the latest few before posting just to make sure I'm not just reiterating something or saying something off-topic. I mean, there's some of that here, but most people are actually pretty good it seems, and, chaosdesign, I don't think there should be any reason for someone to be angry at you for posting about this, because you're perfectly right. -
Okay, well, I let my account lapse for a little while (which I have done in the past as well) and after getting more hosting credits it usually comes back within a day.Well, I let it lapse like .03 credits accidentally about a week ago, and I've been posting every day and I'm back in the positive, but my website has yet to come back so I was just wondering why? Thanks,Cangor

Well, I dunno, it really does matter "what's inside" or rather just what kind of a person they are, but I don't think that just because somebody is "fat" they're ugly, and even "ugly" is a really subjective term, because there's probably nobody out there that every single person would say is ugly. It's just a matter of perception and what our society values.

I love green beans! The recipe sounds great and I will definitely try it. What kind of taste do the black mustard seeds give it? Is it different from using regular mustard seeds?

Chrono Trigger. Possibly the best game EVER. I don't think Secret of Mana was as good because the story wasn't as great and... I dunno, it just wasn't as epic, but, man, if you want to play a good RPG, play Chrono Trigger.

Suggest Diet For Diabetic Suggestion needed
cangor replied to mabhishekjhawar's topic in Health & Fitness
Okay, as with any diet, the most important thing is to eat a lot of unprocessed foods, raw vegetables, and not that much carb foods, as has been stated. My grandmother is diabetic but she always has to have her piece of toast, and that's terrible for her. -
Do You Know How To Cook? Who cooks their own food?
cangor replied to FLaKes's topic in Health & Fitness
You should always learn to cook, for so many reasons...> Eating homemade food is a lot healthier than prepackaged junk> It's fun> You feel a sense of accomplishment when you make something good> You can bake stuff for other people as a "thank you" like some brownies... ^^And best of all, you can eat it. -
Hey, thanks for the ideas all! Still not sure exactly what I'll do but when I have some time I'll take a closer look at what everyone had to say, I'm kinda busy right now, but thanks again!

Hey all, So, my girlfriend is turning sixteen in a couple weeks and I was just wondering what kind of gifts girls like? She?s not a real ?girly girl? and she?d probably prefer something small and meaningful more than some expensive toy or piece of jewelry, but I really don?t know what to get right now, so does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I don't even know if it's possible that there are more whales than insects in the world... According to one expert, there are something like 10000000000000000000 insects in the world. If there were that many whales... man, not only what GamerGlitch said, but... it's just not possible... I mean, there are a ton of insects in the world... They're everywhere. Whales...? Not so much.

Am I In Love? Party Last Night That I Was At
cangor replied to Mermaid711's topic in Dating And Relationships
Yeah, I mean, it sounds like you had a great time, but I think "love," from my (a guy's) perspective isn't when you can hang out with someone and have a great time, it's when you feel that person's pain, when you want nothing more in the world than for that other person to be happy, not even thinking about yourself and, I dunno, but I doubt he feels that way... I mean, he might like you, but to really love someone you have to have known them for a long time and... I dunno, just spent a lot of time talking to them and it gets to the point where you just... rely on each other... and I'm not sure if I'm making any sense, but I guess I'm saying that I don't think the way he acts is love. I mean, maybe... attraction, but love is a lot deeper. -
Hmmm... I'm thinking of getting contacts but it seems so complicated. They even make you get a separate eye exam which is expensive, too...

Universe? Single Or Infinite Can we have n number of universes
cangor replied to amit nigam's topic in Science and Technology
I hear sometimes that they think there are an infinite number of universes, but as far as I am concerned this is impossible... I mean, that would mean there would be a universe where we all live on the moon, there would be a universe where bananas talk and all kinds of freaky stuff like that and... uh... yeah, no. -
Paranormal Activity Ever had a paranormal experience?
cangor replied to Thing's topic in General Discussion
You know what really weirds me out, i mean, I've had some stuff kinda like these stories, but what is really weird to me is when I have a feeling about someone, like, something totally random about their life that I have no possible way of knowing, and I mean big stuff, but I get the weirdest feeling and then my feeling turns out to be true and... eh, just freaky. -
Mmm... I had braces for two years, and, yeah, they really suck, but the payoff is worth it. I even had to have two teeth pulled, which I didn't like very much for obvious reasons, but, hey, my mouth looks wonderful now, so I'm happy that I got braces, even though I couldn't eat and all that stuff... Just hang in there!

okay, I gotta say...Our school was supposed to send us our schedules a month early, but, hey what, in the envelope that says "here is your schedule" they managed to send everything imaginable, including a flyer for a charity event in march of next year, EXCEPT the schedule...Oh man.

Hmmm... Summer still hasn't ended here in Oregon, today it was in the 90s, which is pretty bad for September. But I really hate it when it's like 100 for five days in a row... gawd, you can't even go out with friends... unless it's too the store, of course.
